  • Recently, Korean Traditional House is being reconsidered as a alternative and eco-friendly residential housing. With these flows, government and industry actively studies the modernization and industrialization of Korean Traditional House. Apply for BIM as a way of modernization and industrialization of Korean Traditional House, research has been actively conducted. Korean Traditional House is building that is assembled by individual Component Therefore it is very useful for modernization of the Korean Traditional House to design Korean Traditional House With BIM. Which is the management technology that produces and distributes information of the architecture. But compared with the effect, the use of BIM is sluggish in the construction. Therefore, In this study after surveying about lowly using BIM on point of AEC(Architect-Engineer-Contract), the result is analyzed with AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process). So the aim of this study is to offer the base to find the solution of the Affecting factors about lowly using BIM.

  • When a ship accident occurs, it is imperative that the captain makes a prompt decision because the accident directly leads to the loss of human lives. The purpose of this study is to quantitatively analyze the main factors and to provide basic data for making decisions in case of ship related contingencies. Experts were surveyed using questionnaires containing eight main factors. The priorities based on relative importance of those factors were determined using the analytic hierarchy process (AHP). As a result, the main priority factors were capsizing (heeling occurs), and fire/explosion, which could have the greatest impact on decision making. We plan to do a larger, more detailed scale survey to improve the reliability of the results. The results above will be used as a basis for the main factors of ships and passenger evacuation decision-making procedures.

  • This paper presents a scenario evaluation model of the AHP (Analytic Hierarchy Process) to evaluate dismantling scenarios considering quantitative and qualitative considerations. And decommissioning information producing modules which can obtain a dismantling schedule, quantify radioactive waste, visualize a radioactive inventory, estimate a decommissioning cost, and estimate a worker's exposure was developed to assess qualitatively decommissioning information. The digital mock-up (DMU) system was developed to verify dismantling processes and find error of scenarios in virtual space. It combines and manages the decommissioning information producing modules, the decommissioning DB, and the dismantling evaluation module synthetically. By using AHP model and DMU system, the thermal column in KRR-1 was evaluated on plasma arc cutting scenario and nibbler cutting scenario using the developed decommissioning DMU system.

  • This study looks at priorities in managing public hospitals by figuring out categories needed to examine the quality of each hospital. In order to analyze priorities and relative importance of valuation indicator in Seoul municipal hospitals, surveys were sent via e-mail to medical professionals who have participated in evaluation of municipal hospitals. The analytic hierarchy process (AHP) was conducted using the Expert Choice 11.5 program. The results show that 'providing public service' is considered to be the most important category for all kinds of public hospitals, followed by 'improving the quality of medical care', 'hospital management and governance', and 'efficient hospital management'. The importance of 'hospital management and governance' and 'efficient hospital management' is different depending on the types of hospitals, but the importance of 'providing public service' and 'improving the quality of care' remains the same regardless of the types of hospitals. Based on these results, the study comes to a conclusion that public hospitals should place high value on certain categories and their management purposes should differ depending on their specific fields and characteristics. This study will help furthering discussions on the identity and roles of public hospitals.

  • This article proposes new method for estimating pedestrian quality of service(QOS) that is useful to changing pedestrian environment by examining pedestrian quality of service as well as developing new method that integrate qualitative variables into the estimating indicators for the pedestrian movement right. Based on survey questionnaire addressed to experts group, the obtained data for the indicators were analyzed through Analytic Hierarchy Process(AHP). The results show that pedestrian traffic flow(quantitative figure: 52%), sidewalk geometric(quantitative figure: 16%), sidewalk usage behavior(qualitative figure: 11%) in commercial and business zone pointed out the importance of quantitative indicators such as pedestrian traffic flow, and sidewalk geometric. In addition, the results also show that pedestrian traffic flow(quantitative figure: 30%), sidewalk geometric(quantitative figure : 22%), sidewalk usage behavior(qualitative figure: 20%) indicate the significance of qualitative indicators such as pedestrian's sidewalk usage.

  • The BTL project, 4 years since its operation, has benchmarked the PFI Project in Japan and has been introduced. Given the evaluation step to select a preferred bidder, in a technological factor, the basic plans are corrected and complemented, whereas in a price factor, the low price bidding system is being enforced. There is concern that how to select preferred bidders and how to operate project costs during operation and management period may be problematic. Thus, in this study, using the Analytic Hierarchy Process, the method of deciding the pribrity to select preferred bidders in an early stage of the project and the evaluation model to evaluate the validity of BTL project expenses in process of project enforcement are established. Targeting the group. composed of experts who have experiences in the BTL project. Then, the levelling of evaluation factors and grouping have been carried out as following: LCC analysis and disbursement for government including two more detailed factors.

  • The paradigm of SW industry has been rapidly changing into mobile and cloud technology environment. Research model based on PEST-SWOT analysis was employed to derive internal and external factors connected with PEST factors through analyzing the current status and problems of SW HRD system in Korea. Survey was conducted by 20 experts who are involved in SW companies, university, and R&D research institute using AHP(Analytic Hierarchy Process) model. The empirical result showed that SW fusion HRD, creativity-oriented university education in the field of software, global education and exchange, and revitalization of SW venture ecosystem are derived as policy visions of SW HRD for smart industry ecosystem. Another findings are that SW fusion HRD, revitalization of SW venture ecosystem, Job Creation through revitalization of SW start-up, Creation of coexistence between SW large enterprises and SMEs, creativity-oriented university education in the field of software, and global education and exchange are presented in order in terms of the importance of policy priority.

  • Background: Respiratory protection equipment (RPE) is the last resort to control exposure to workplace air pollutants. A comprehensive respiratory protection program (RPP) ensures that RPE is selected, used, and cared properly. Therefore, RPP must be well integrated into the occupational health and safety requirements. In this study, we evaluated the implementation of RPP in Iranian petrochemical industries to identify the required solutions to improve the current status of respiratory protection. Methods: This cross-sectional study was conducted among 24 petrochemical industries in Iran. The survey instrument was a checklist extracted from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration respiratory protection standard. An index, Respiratory Protection Program Index (RPPI), was developed and weighted by analytic hierarchy process to determine the compliance rate (CR) of provided respiratory protection measures with the RPP standard. Data analysis was performed using Excel 2010. Results: The most important element of RPP, according to experts, was respiratory hazard evaluation. The average value of RPPI in the petrochemical plants was $49{\pm}15%$. The highest and lowest of CR among RPP elements were RPE selection and medical evaluation, respectively. Conclusion: None of studied petrochemical industries implemented RPP completely. This can lead to employees' overexposure to hazardous workplace air contaminants. Increasing awareness of employees and employers through training is suggested by this study to improve such conditions.

  • Association of South East Asian Nations(ASEAN) has recently decided to develop ASEAN Highway Network to connect member countries by road in an attempt to achieve a goal of closer economic integration in the region. This entailed the necessity to newly construct or upgrade some 5,481 km of road sections to make ASEAN Highway Network functional. This study offers haw we can prioritize development of these road sections using the Analytic Hierarchy Process. Particularly, it shows how individual road sections can be prioritized considering the importance of corridor or road group where the individual road section lies. It also develops how values of different evaluation criteria can be compared in the same scale. This new approach can be useful in prioritizing highway development in such cases where candidate road sections are widely scattered around the region, so detailed benefit and cost analysis is practically too demanding to carry out.
