Design of manufacturing process, in general, facilitates the creation of new process that may potentially harm the workers. Design of safety-guaranteed manufacturing process is, therefore, very important since it determines the ultimate outcomes of manufacturing activities involving safety of workers. This study discusses application of discrimination information (cross entropy) to safety assessment of manufacturing processes. The idea is based on the general principles of design and their applications. An example of Cartesian robotic movement is given.

On the process of Korean last half century's condensed economic growth, the contribution of quality management was very important. But if we continued the way in which U.S.A. developed and Japan revised, we would not be able to catch up the developed country. This paper attempts to apply Markove chain theory to literary works. the objective of this paper is to show the trend of authors and his works by way of Markovian Models. In this introductory research, it is useful to make simple criteria as virtue and evil, good and bad, justice and injustice, positive and negative, man and woman, etc. Markovian transition matrixes which are derived by M.L.E. and A.U.E are almost same. In case of Hamlet, we are able to know the author of Hamlet or his works are inconsistent and fickle.

An alternative method for the synthesis of sulfonylurea derivatives, some of which considered to be a new recommendable herbicides, with oxalylchloride was investigated. Sulfonamides read with oxalylchloride to sulfonyloxamoylchlorides, which convert easily under pyrolysis to sulfonylisocyanates. The isocyanates react further with amines to yield corresponding sulfonylurea derivative quantitatively.

We show the existence of nontrivial solutions for some fourth order elliptic boundary value problem with fully nonlinear term. We obtain this result by approaching the variational method and using a linking theorem. We also get a uniqueness result.

We obtain multiplicity results for the nonlinear biharmonic problem with variable coefficient. We prove by the Leray-Schauder degree theory that the nonlinear biharmonic problem has multiple solutions for the biharmonic problem with the variable coefficient semilinear term under some conditions.

We investigate the multiple nontrivial solutions of the asymmetric beam equation $u_{tt}+u_{xxxx}=b_1[{(u + 2)}^+-2]+b_2[{(u + 3)}^+-3]$ with Dirichlet boundary condition and periodic condition on t. We reduce this problem into a two-dimensional problem by using variational reduction method and apply the Mountain Pass theorem to find the nontrivial solutions of the equation.

Let G be the 3-dimensional Heisenberg group. A discrete subgroup of Isom(G), acting freely on G with non-compact quotient, must be isomorphic to either 1, Z, Z2 or the fundamental group of the Klein bottle. We classify all discrete representations of such groups into Isom(G) up to affine conjugacy. This yields an affine calssification of 3-dimensional non-compact infra-nilmanifolds.
