The purpose of this study is to develope an assessment method for parking lot remodeling alternative by adopting the asset management technique. In order to identify the Level of Service(LOS) and the Evaluation Measurement(EM), literatures was implemented which documented the consideration of parking lot plan, needs of the apartments' tenant, and various design standards. In addition, the authors conducted a three-time delphi survey for the identified 5 LOS and 19 EM to evaluate suitability and necessity of them and to collect additional opinion of experts. The LOS of parking lot were categorized into 5 areas such as Environmental effect and Convenience, Accessibility and so on. The 19 EM were determined to estimate the LOS quantitatively. The researchers analyzed the degree of importance of LOS and EM by using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) method. But construction cost was excepted from the analysis, because it is used as an independent variable in alternative assessment. In conclusion, the authors proposed the estimation criteria for EM, and the method and process for alternative assessment be performed to benefit-cost analysis using the LOS variation and construction cost. The assessment method for parking lot remodeling alternative was demonstrated effective to assess the parking lot remodeling alternative by case-study. This study has a academic significance by adopting the asset management techniques in the area of the parking lot remodeling. And the assessment method is expected to help deciding a reasonable remodeling alternative of parking lot, as it ensures the diversity for remodeling of the parking lot and reflects the needs of the occupant.

Effective and quick methods that are easy to carry out even by hand, or easy to be programmed by hand-held calculators are needed for assessing the sizes of contrasts of unreplicated $2^P$ factorial designs. Moreover, they have the advantage to use the original numerical measurements which makes the analysis easier to explain. Basically, Lenth (1989) is one of the most familiar of such quick and powerful methods. Later on, Aboukalam (2001) proposes under constant effects an alternative sophisticated method to Lenth's method. The proposed method is the supreme from two considerable powers. The first utmost indicates less inflation deficiency while the other utmost indicates less shrinkage deficiency. Also under constant effects, Al-Shiha (2006) introduces an alternative quick method which is less shrinkage deficiency while the inflation deficiency is the same. If effects are random, Aboukalam (2005) introduces an alternative quick method in which the first power is favored as long as the second power is within a small margin. In the spirit of quickness and fixed effects, this article adds another method which is supreme from the two considerable powers. The method is based on a one step of the scale-part of a suggested M-estimate for location. Explicitly, we suggest adapting the skipped median (ASKM) estimate. Critical values of ASKM-method, for several sample sizes often used, are empirically computed.

For the productivity improvement, it is necessary to analyze problem of the system and evaluate alternative plans. But, it if hard to experiment and evaluate alternative plans in real existing system. Therefore, it is necessary to synthetically analyze and evaluate alternative plans using simulation and statistical analysis method. In this case study, as a simulation language, Promodel is used to compare and evaluate four alternatives which are considered to improve the productivity of an object system. The object system is constituted of a pretreatment line and a painting line. The purpose of this study is to analyze whether the decrease of the down time in pretreatment line can be effective to the productivity improve comparing with exiting system and other alternatives. The other purpose is to choose an alternative that has the best productivity improvement. The results of the simulation show that the possibility of improvement in productivity by decreasing the down time of pretreatment line. Two-Stage Bonferroni Procedure is used to choose the best alternative.

In the buildings of educational facilities ordered by BTL projects, the competent authorities, private business, and users of school get to have a deep conflict, due to extra expenses resulted from shortening of construction period and establishment of temporary school building, and inconveniences users of school have to undergo during semester. This study aims at solving immediate problems in the aspect of construction method, proposing several alternative plans, including RC construction method generally applied to construction of the existing school, and modular construction method that is emerged as an alternative method for educational facilities lately, along with the method of construction appropriate for BTL projects of educational facilities, calculating cost of construction required for each alternative plan, analyzing and evaluating period of construction.

A computing method of fractional Bayes factor (FBF) for a point null hypothesis is explained. We propose alternative form of FBF that is the product of density ratio and a quantity using the generalized Savage-Dickey density ratio method. When it is difficult to compute the alternative form of FBF analytically, each term of the proposed form can be estimated by MCMC method. Finally, two examples are given.

Purpose: This study was to develop an online 'alternative therapy and health promotion' class for university students and to evaluate its changes. Method: The online class was developed based on the Instructional Systems Development(ISD) model and model of Web-Based Instruction(WBI) developmental process. This was a quasi-experimental, one group pretest-posttest design. The subjects of this study were 130 students in 3 universities, and they were provided the cyber class for 16 weeks. Data was analyzed by descriptive and plural answer statistics, and paired t-test. Results: The cyber class was developed in five steps : analysis, design, data collection and reconstruction, programing and publishing, and evaluation. The results of program evaluation were positive, which included learning 3.47. system 3.57, and learning satisfaction 3.64 on the scale of 5. The posttest scores of cognition and reliability of alternative therapy were higher than pretest scores. The posttest score of health promoting lifestyle(t=-5.051, p=.000) and perceived health status(t=2.979, p=.003) were significantly higher than those of the pretest. Conclusion: These results suggest that the cyber class is a positive method in increasing a cognition, reliability of alternative therapy, and is effective to improve a health promotion lifestyle and perceived health status for the university students.

In this paper, we propose the alternative LSP allocation for MPLS networks required more confidence. In the first place, we must classify the user traffics by the QoS parameter. We assigned altermative LSPs on realtime traffics and then allocated alternative LSPs of non-realtime traffics. The proposed algorithm can provide more confidential alternative LSP by priority method for relatively high cost realtime traffic error. And the proposed algorithm can improve the shortage of network resources what is occured by using a few links when altermative LSPs are setup. The validity of the proposed algorithm has been justified in performance by analysis through simulation results using the program tool and comparison with conventional methods. Also, that improves 9% more than existing method in the recovery ratio-one is 89%, the other is 98%, respectively.

This paper tries to suggest a rational proposal for the distribution of compensation of common property fisheries damages caused by a large scale coastal reclamation. For the purpose the paper introduces the approach of alternative cost of the use of fishing ground. The background of the paper is the legal conflict between tenants and non-tenants, both of whom are common owners of seaweed cultivation ground, in the distribution of compensation for damages. In principal, so far as the seaweed cultivation right is a common property of the fishing association, the compensation is also a common property of it. Therefore the distribution method of the compensation entirely depends on the decision of the association. But in case that the numbers of non-tenants is larger than those of tenants, the distribution of the compensation is usually unfavorable to the tenants even though the latter is the key contributor to the realization of present value of the common property. The paper aims to show an appropriate distribution method based on the economic principle of optimal distribution. In others words, the value added to the economic value of alternative use of the fishing ground should be distributed to the tenants. the value amount of alternative use of the fishing ground should be equally distributed to the members of the association.

Despite increasing importance of in vitro cell-based assays for the assessment of nanoparticles (NPs) cytotoxicity, their suitability for the assessment of NPs toxicity is still in doubt. Here, limitations of widely used cell viability assay protocol (i.e., MTT asssay) for the cytotoxicity assessment of P25 $TiO_2$ NPs were carefully examined and an alternative toxicity assessment method to overcome these limitations was proposed, where the artifacts caused by extracellularly formed formazan and light scattered by agglomerated NPs were minimized by measuring only the intracellular formazan via image cytometric methods.
