Why Data Capability is Important to become an AI Matured Organization?

  • Although firms with advanced analytics and machine learning (which is often called AI) capabilities are considered to be highly successful in the market by making decisions and actions based on quantitative analysis using data, the scarcity of historical data and the lack of right data infrastructure are the problems for the organizations to perform such projects. The objective of this study, is to identify a road map for the organization to reach data capability maturity to become AI matured organizations. First, this study defines the terms, AI capability, data capability and AI matured organization. Then using content analyses, organizations' data practices performed for AI system development and operation are analyzed to infer a data capability roadmap to become an AI matured organization.

A Study on Factors Influencing AI Learning Continuity : Focused on Business Major Students

  • Purpose This study aims to investigate factors that positively influence the continuous Artificial Intelligence(AI) Learning Continuity of business major students. Design/methodology/approach To evaluate the impact of AI education, a survey was conducted among 119 business-related majors who completed a software/AI course. Frequency analysis was employed to examine the general characteristics of the sample. Furthermore, factor analysis using Varimax rotation was conducted to validate the derived variables from the survey items, and Cronbach's α coefficient was used to measure the reliability of the variables. Findings Positive correlations were observed between business major students' AI Learning Continuity and their AI Interest, AI Awareness, and Data Analysis Capability related to their majors. Additionally, the study identified that AI Project Awareness and AI Literacy Capability play pivotal roles as mediators in fostering AI Learning Continuity. Students who acquired problem-solving skills and related technologies through AI Projects Awareness showed increased motivation for AI Learning Continuity. Lastly, AI Self-Efficacy significantly influences students' AI Learning Continuity.

국방 AI 소요의 중복 최적화를 위한 AI 능력(Capability)의 역할 개념모델 연구 (A study on a conceptual model of AI Capability's role to optimize duplication of defense AI requirements)

  • Multidimensional efforts such as budgeting, organizing, and institutionalizing are being carried out for the adoption of defense AI. However, there is little interest in eliminating duplication of defense resources that may occur during the AI adoption. In this study, we propose a theoretical conceptual model to optimize duplication of AI technology that may occur during the AI adoption in the vast defense field. For a systematic approach, the JCA of the US DoD and system abstraction method are applied, and the IMO logical structure is used to decompose AI requirements and identify duplication. As a result of analyzing the effectiveness of our conceptual model through six example defense AI requirements, it was found that the amount of requirements of data and AI technologies could be reduced by up to 41.7% and 70%, respectively, and estimated costs could be reduced by up to 35.5%.

패션 디자인 주체에 따른 패션디자이너 역량 및 제품 품질 지각 -Human vs. Human+AI vs. AI- (Perception of Fashion Designer's Capability and Product Quality -Human vs. Human+AI vs. AI-)

  • Collaboration between AI and fashion designers is becoming essential. Thus, this study explored (1) 321 consumer responses to fashion designers, comparing their capabilities and product quality across different designer types, (2) the relationship between designer capabilities and perceived product quality, and (3) the moderating role of AI knowledge in the effect of capabilities on perceived product quality. Data were analyzed using EFA, ANOVA, regression, and moderation analysis. The results indicated that subjects perceived human designers as having higher capabilities and perceived product quality than AI designers. All subjects' perceived creativity and empathy significantly impacted the perceived functionality, aesthetics, and symbolism-sociality of clothing. Additionally, the perceived creativity of AI and human+AI designers, and the perceived empathy of human and human+AI designers, significantly influenced the perceived functionality and symbolism-sociality, but the perceived creativity of human designers and empathy of AI designers did not directly impact perceived functionality and symbolism-sociality. Moreover, perceptions of the designers' capabilities significantly aesthetics in all subjects. Furthermore, low levels of perceived consumer AI knowledge enhanced the positive impact of perceived human+AI designers' creativity and empathy on perceived functionality and aesthetics. The study suggests that fashion companies should refrain from revealing AI designers at this time.

정부의 인공지능 도입에 관한 분석: 중앙정부조직을 중심으로 (Analysis of the Government's Introduction to Artificial Intelligence(AI): Focusing on the Central Government Organizations)

  • 지능형 정부를 구성하기 위해 인공지능(AI)의 도입의 필요성이 대두되기 시작하였다. 이에따라 본 연구는 중앙정부 조직의 AI 도입에 영향을 미치는 조직의 특성으로서 '조직 민첩성'과 '활용적 & 탐색적 조직학습', '전자정부의 역량'을 조작화 하여 독립변수로 설정하였다. 이후 정책 기획을 주로 실시하는 중앙정부 조직 '부'와 정책 집행을 주로 수행하는 '청'조직의 AI 도입여부를 종속변수로 구축한 후, 각각의 두 모형에 대해 로지스틱 회귀분석을 실시하였다. 분석 결과, 부 조직은 조직 민첩성이 증가할수록 AI를 도입하였으며, 청 조직은 전자정부 역량이 증가할수록 AI를 도입하는 것이 도출되었다. 이때, 청 조직의 조직학습 수준과 전자정부 역량 변수간의 상호작용항을 파악한 결과, 활용적 조직학습은 전자정부 역량에 따른 AI 도입의 영향력을 상쇄시켰으며, 탐색적 조직학습은 이를 촉진하였다. 본 연구는 AI 도입을 위한 전략 수립 시 중앙정부 조직의 특성에 따라 주목할 핵심 개념을 제시하였다는 점에서 그 의의가 있다.

Critical Factors Affecting the Adoption of Artificial Intelligence: An Empirical Study in Vietnam

  • The term "artificial intelligence" is considered a component of sophisticated technological developments, and several intelligent tools have been developed to assist organizations and entrepreneurs in making business decisions. Artificial intelligence (AI) is defined as the concept of transforming inanimate objects into intelligent beings that can reason in the same way that humans do. Computer systems can imitate a variety of human intelligence activities, including learning, reasoning, problem-solving, speech recognition, and planning. This study's objective is to provide responses to the questions: Which factors should be taken into account while deciding whether or not to use AI applications? What role do these elements have in AI application adoption? However, this study proposes a framework to explore the significance and relation of success factors to AI adoption based on the technology-organization-environment model. Ten critical factors related to AI adoption are identified. The framework is empirically tested with data collected by mail surveying organizations in Vietnam. Structural Equation Modeling is applied to analyze the data. The results indicate that Technical compatibility, Relative advantage, Technical complexity, Technical capability, Managerial capability, Organizational readiness, Government involvement, Market uncertainty, and Vendor partnership are significantly related to AI applications adoption.

AI 비서에 대한 직무 종사자와 관리자의 인식 유형 연구 (Study on the Perception of Workers and Supervisors about AI Assistants)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the perception about AI assistants and the differences between two groups, workers(secretaries) and supervisors(bosses), using the Q-methodology which has an advantage in understanding the types of subjective perceptions. Through literature reviews and interviews, 34 Q-samples were extracted, and then Q-sorting was conducted by P-samples(20 workers and 15 supervisors). As a result of Q-sorting, the types and characteristics of AI assistants perceived by each P-sample were explained. The perception of the workers divided into five distinct types, and the perception of the supervisors was divided into three distinct types. The most crucial factors in distinguishing between workers and supervisors' perceptions depend on whether they are capable of performing certain tasks and whether they can replace existing secretarial jobs. This study, as the primary research on AI assistants, can help to redefine the work that can be replaced by AI and the work that only people can do, and thus to establish education, recruitment, and training plans.

Enhancing Video Storyboarding with Artificial Intelligence: An Integrated Approach Using ChatGPT and Midjourney within AiSAC

  • The increasing incorporation of AI in video storyboard creation has been observed recently. Traditionally, the production of storyboards requires significant time, cost, and specialized expertise. However, the integration of AI can amplify the efficiency of storyboard creation and enhance storytelling. In Korea, AiSAC stands at the forefront of AI-driven storyboard platforms, boasting the capability to generate realistic images built on open datasets foundations. Yet, a notable limitation is the difficulty in intricately conveying a director's vision within the storyboard. To address this challenge, we proposed the application of image generation features from ChatGPT and Midjourney to AiSAC. Through this research, we aimed to enhance the efficiency of storyboard production and refined the intricacy of expression, thereby facilitating advancements in the video production process.
