This study explores the popular channels of Afreeca TV, which is the most famous Internet Broadcasting Service in South Korea currently. Due to the developments of technology, the era has come that ordinary people are able to do broadcasting individually with some equipment. Unlike traditional media, Internet Broadcasting does not have a concept of ratings, and Afreeca TV utilizes the specific formula for counting popular channels. In this situation, this study analyzes the popular channels on Afreeca TV by 1) Gender 2) Profile Photo 3) Genre 4) Enthusiast 5) Fanclub 6) Supporter 7) Amount of Airtime 8) Cumulative Audience, and then it reveals the traits of those popular channels. Then, it further discusses the future of the Internet broadcasting.

This study analyzes various aspects of the Internet broadcasting that has rapidly increased in South Korea recently. Due to the development of technology, the Internet Broadcasting industry that ordinary viewers do the broadcasting themselves has appeared. Today, the most popular platform of the Internet broadcasting in South Korea is "Afreeca TV", which allows BJs do broadcasting in their channel with own contents. Related to current chaotic Korean society, Current Affairs/Politics becomes one of the new popular genres. Specifically, this study focuses on BJ Hammer Wife as a case study, who is famous in the Current Affairs/Politics industry. Then it examines what characteristics of her channel, her opinions, and the method of communication with common viewers implicate messages regarding the freedom of speech in South Korea. Throughout this, it explores that the Internet Broadcasting functions as a place for conspiracy or discussion, and discusses the blueprint of the Internet broadcasting.

This study is to analyze the difference of satisfaction according to the usage motivation of Live video streaming and characteristics of the adopter(early adopters, late adopters). For this purpose, we conducted a survey of 283 people in the age of 10~30 using AfreecaTV. As a result of the study, users spending daily hours on watching Afreeca TV showed a positive effect on the usage motivation. It shows only one difference in education level between the demographic characteristics, based on the adopter characteristics. Also the differences in the satisfaction factors were found to be habits, communication, entertainment accessibility in the early adopters and accessibility, credibility, habits, accessibility were significant influences on the late adopters.

This study suggest the development direction of mobile environment by combining UX satisfaction index and UI guideline. In order to improve the satisfaction of viewers, in this study, we understand the mobile Internet broadcasting environment and application by combining UX and UI index. We present components which are suitable for internet broadcasting and calculate it on each broadcasting screen. Internet broadcasting application is for satisfaction of viewers. To make application which is satisfy viewer's needs, those advantages of applications should be combined.

An increasing number of people in their lifes have used personal web-casting services as a new type of broadcasting, whose power has grown in the broadcasting market and industry. Nevertheless, limited research concerning personal web-casting has been conducted so far. This research explored consumption structures of personal web-casting users in terms of their genre usage based on the theoretical concept of genre repertoire. And it also examined what determinants have influences on these structures by focusing on as an representative case in South Korea. The findings showed that sensation seeking, motivation for getting information and social presence affect genre repertoire of personal web-casting users. They also indicated that there is a moderating effect of social presence in the relationship between motivation for joy and genre repertoire.

모바일 영상 환경에서는 협소한 스크린과 한정된 배터리 등의 제약으로 RMC(Ready Made Contents) 보다는 UGC 혹은 스낵형 콘텐츠가 적합하다. 이러한 콘텐츠로 포지셔닝 된 아프리카TV도 모바일 시대를 맞아 급성장 할 수 있었다. 향후에도 모바일 영상 서비스는 라이트한 캐주얼 콘텐츠로 계속 진화해 갈 것으로 보인다.

Although personal media have become a giant industry, there is a lack of understanding of personal media creators. Therefore, this study aims to clarify factors influencing personal media creators' choice of platform. According to the analysis, there is a significant difference between the factors considered by YouTube, AfreecaTV, and Twitch creators. Moreover, the moderating effect of creators' main genre and broadcasting type were also found to be partially significant. It was found that both creators who share the motive of vividness and communication as their main genre and creators who focus on recording and broadcasting with career development motivation prefer YouTube.

This study analyzes popular channels of America's Twitch TV that centers on video game among several Internet broadcasting services. Afreeca TV de facto monopolizes the Internet broadcasting industry in South Korea; however, Twitch TV is popular around the globe and tries to expand business in Korea. Specifically, this study collects data of popular domestic/international channels on every Friday 9:00 p.m. 20 times, and examines differences of between those channels: 1) the number of the audience(users) 2) the frequency of games 3) the genre of games 4) nationality of games. Internet broadcasting streaming service does not have a concept of ratings, but it could be categorized as popular based on users connecting the channels. Thus, this study studies characteristics of Twitch TV, and further discusses the future of the Internet broadcasting.

영상을 구성하는 프레임 중에 키프레임은 일반적으로 영상 정보를 효과적으로 요약하거나 용이한 분석을 위해 선정된다. 화상이 가진 의미는 인물/사물 등의 객체탐지를 통해 추출되는데, 기존의 키프레임 관련 연구는 영상이 가지는 의미를 반영하는 키프레임을 찾아내기 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 영상이 가지는 특정 의미가 있다고 할 때 이를 반영하는 키프레임을 효과적으로 추출하는 방법을 실험적으로 탐구하였다. 구체적으로 영상을 통할하는 의미를 피로라고 가정하고 영상의 졸음 인식 관련 연구에 사용되는 DDD 데이터셋을 이용하여 효과적인 키프레임 추출 기법을 적용해 보았으며, 실험 결과 졸음이라는 특정 정보에 대한 해석을 도울 수 있는 의미 있는 요약을 제공하는 키프레임들을 효과적으로 추출하는 분석 기법을 찾아낼 수 있었다.

As generative adversarial network (GAN) based oversampling techniques have achieved impressive results in class imbalance of unstructured dataset such as image, many studies have begun to apply it to solving the problem of imbalance in structured dataset. However, these studies have failed to reflect the characteristics of structured data due to changing the data structure into an unstructured data format. In order to overcome the limitation, this study adapted CycleGAN to reflect the characteristics of structured data, and proposed hybridization of synthetic minority oversampling technique (SMOTE) and the adapted CycleGAN. In particular, this study tried to overcome the limitations of existing studies by using a one-dimensional convolutional neural network unlike previous studies that used two-dimensional convolutional neural network. Oversampling based on the method proposed have been experimented using various datasets and compared the performance of the method with existing oversampling methods such as SMOTE and adaptive synthetic sampling (ADASYN). The results indicated the proposed hybrid oversampling method showed superior performance compared to the existing methods when data have more dimensions or higher degree of imbalance. This study implied that the classification performance of oversampling structured data can be improved using the proposed hybrid oversampling method that considers the characteristic of structured data.
