A Study of an NAT Protocol using Virtual IP Information in the TCP Segment (TCP 세그멘트내의 가상 IP 정보를 이용하는 NAT 프로토콜에 대한 연구)

  • NAT (Network Address Translation) is an IP address modification protocol that translates private IP address into authentic Internet address. The main features of NAT are to improve network security and to save IP address. Generally speaking, in order to perform its functionality, NAT uses the address information in the packet header. Certain application protocols, however, use the information in the packet data as well as the information in the packet header to perform end-to-end communication. Therefore, to support these types of application protocols, NAT should be able to perform appropriate translation of protocol information in the packet data. In this thesis, we design and implement a method which translates virtual IP information in the packet date into real IP information by using port proxy server.

Adaptive Partition-Based Address Allocation Protocol in Mobile Ad Hoc Networks

  • To initialize and maintain self-organizing networks such as mobile ad hoc networks, address allocation protocol is essentially required. However, centralized approaches that pervasively used in traditional networks are not recommended in this kind of networks since they cannot handle with mobility efficiently. In addition, previous distributed approaches suffer from inefficiency with control overhead caused by duplicated address detection and management of available address pool. In this paper, we propose a new dynamic address allocation scheme, which is based on adaptive partition. An available address is managed in distributed way by multiple agents and partitioned adaptively according to current network environments. Finally, simulation results reveal that a proposed scheme is superior to previous approach in term of address acquisition delay under diverse simulation scenarios.

  • Address and location information is gaining importance as a channel between business entities and customers. However, as the new address scheme, which is based on street name and building number, is deployed, various problems occurred in the areas of postal service, logistics and management of customer information. And therefore it is necessary to make plans for integration and application of address information and location information. In this study, we clearly identify the problems when the governments and companies manage the address and location information under the circumstances of new address system. And we suggest improvement plans from the viewpoint of code scheme and database linkage.

  • Internet GIS represents the GIS technique that, by integrating Internet and GIS technique, provides geographic information services through Internet environments, Internet GIS suggests that one can search and analyze spatial data through WWW under the dynamic client/ server computing environments, In this paper we introduce the development of a new address management system using GIS technique and a new address information system using Internet GIS, The new address system, which is based on stress name and building number along the street, is developed to complement the current address system which is based on cadastral system, The new address management system is developed for the management of address change due to establishment of roads, construction and destruction of buildings etc using a GIS, The new address information system presents the Internet GIS system which provides people with geographic and address information. By implementing the new address information system it is possible to share GIS data, increase the efficiency of implementation of GIS system, and maximize its usablity.

IPv4 Address Trading Using Resource Certificate

  • The Internet has been growing at unprecedented rates. The problem of an address shortage could act as a barrier on this growth. In principle, a new Internet standard, IPv6 solves the problem of the address shortage because it has a very large address space. But IPv6 is not yet compatible with the IPv4 and during the IPv4-to-IPv6 transition period IPv4 address will continue to be in demand. Thus for quite some time, the problem of IP address shortage will persist. To solve the problem, we propose the mechanism of secure IP address trading. This mechanism is based on the Resource PKI (RPKI). The RPKI is the working item of IETF. This proposed mechanism maximizes the trust of IP address trading using RPKI.

  • Postal address information is basis for customer contact channel as well as for the postal logistics such as sorting and dispatching, and the management system has been prepared. It should manage not only address itself but also information of delivery districts and sequences. It is necessary to consider geographic information system (GIS) to be included for intuitive and efficient manipulation. In order to construct a integrative system that could manage and utilize the standardized postal address information, we analyze various user requirements, define required GIS information, and present some results of data and process modeling. In addition, we explain several main functions with screen-shots of the implemented system. The GIS-enabled system, which is constructed after this study, is planned to be used to build and manage a database of nationwide postal addresses. It would make it possible to present other postal information systems with the address information and to provide various customer services.

  • Increase in the number of sensor nodes in sensor networks and sensor node to automatically assign addresses are needed. The method developed to address existing severe wasting, coordinators have all address information, each sensor node when addressing the shortcomings are a lot of traffic. In this paper, 6LoWPAN automatically from the sensor nodes capable of efficiently addressing Hop-Count based hierarchical address allocation algorithm is proposed. How to propose a hop-count of divided areas are separated, with no overlap and can be assigned a unique address, DAD(Duplicate Address Detection) reduced area. Perform DAD to reduce traffic, packet transmission in the IP header destination address, respectively, with a minimum 32-bit compression and packet transmission over a non-compression method to reduce the number of 11.1%.

A Study on Extending of the Addressable Object of Address of Things (사물주소 부여대상 확대 방안 연구)

  • There There is a difference in terms of administrative power in that the address of things are not an address under Public Act. In terms of location expression, it is possible to express the location more flexibly and in more detail than the road name address, so it should be improved so that it can be assigned and managed in an appropriate location, so that the location of the entire territory can be expressed together with the road name address. As a result of the comparison between the road name address and the address of things based on the analysis results of related laws such as the existing Road Name Address Act, the Building Act, and the Regulations on the Preparation and Management of Basic Address Information, it was confirmed that there are fundamental limitations of the address of things system. Accordingly, this study attempted to suggest ways to improve the address of thing system by broadly dividing it into the legal aspect and the addressable object aspect. From the legal point of view, firstly, it is necessary to improve the upper and lower level laws by unification together with a clear definition of the term subject of addressable object; secondly, according to the Building Act, facilities that are not used for residence among buildings must be given an address of thing; and thirdly, it is necessary to make it easy to use and link with heterogeneous public data by classifying the registration items of the basic address information map by type of geographical feature to be assigned an address. From the point of view of addressability, firstly, it must be given to all facilities in the relevant category so that it can be recognised that all specific facilities have object addresses, and secondly, it is necessary to be able to address the address of things to places that are used by many, even if there are no facilities.

  • 현재 인터넷에서는 사용자의 급격만 증가로 인해 고성능의 라우터를 요구하고 있고 주소부족으로 IPv4에서 IPv6로 변화를 하고 있다. IPv4처럼 IPv6에서도 Address Lookup이 병목이 될 것이며 IPv4와는 달리 IPv6는 128bit의 주소 길이를 가지고 있어 이에 맞는 라우터 구조와 Address Lookup 알고리즘이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 IPv6주소 128bit 중 외부에서 할당받는 64bit를 3단계로 나누는 계층적 네트워크 구성과 각 단계에 적합한 라우팅 테이블 구조와 Address Lookup 알고리즘에 대해 연구하였고 펜티엄 III 866MHz의 프로세서에서 알고리즘의 검색 시간을 측정해 각 단계에 맞는 라우팅 테이블 구조를 제안하였다.

  • I must receive node discernment address for communication between node that participate to network in MANETs(Mobile Ad-hoc Networks). Address is created by node confidence or different node. I achieve address redundancy check (Duplicate Address Detection) to examine whether this address is available unique address. However, this method happens problem that MANETs' extensity drops. This paper can manage by group unit binding transfer nodes to group in MANETs. I suggest method that apply special quality of cluster that exchange subordinate decrease and mobility government official of control message are easy in address assignment protocol minimize time required in redundancy check and solves extensity problem. Method that propose in this paper shows excellent performance according to node number increase than wave and MANETConf [2] through simulation.
