Moringa oleifera Lam, family Moringaceae, is a perennial plant which is called various names, but is locally known in Malaysia as ''murungai'' or ''kelor''. Glucomoringin, a glucosinolate with from M. oleifera is a major secondary metabolite compound. The seeds and leaves of the plant are reported to have the highest amount of glucosinolates. M. oleifera is well known for its many uses health and benefits. It is claimed to have nutritional, medicinal and chemopreventive potentials. Chemopreventive effects of M. oleifera are expected due to the existence of glucosinolate which it is reported to have the ability to induce apoptosis in anticancer studies. Furthermore, chemopreventive value of M. oleifera has been demonstrated in studies utilizing its leaf extract to inhibit the growth of human cancer cell lines. This review highlights the advantages of M. oleifera targeting chemoprevention where glucosinolates could help to slow the process of carcinogenesis through several molecular targets. It is also includes inhibition of carcinogen activation and induction of carcinogen detoxification, anti-inflammatory, anti-tumor cell proliferation, induction of apoptosis and inhibition of tumor angiogenesis. Finally, for synergistic effects of M. oleifera with other drugs and safety, essential for chemoprevention, it is important that it safe to be consumed by human body and works well. Although there is promising evidence about M. oleifera in chemoprevention, extensive research need to be done due to the expected rise of cancer in coming years and to gain more information about the mechanisms involved in M. oleifera influence, which could be a good source to inhibit several major mechanisms involved in cancer development.
In the industry, galvanizing using the principle of sacrificial anode is used Zn-Ni alloy plating was developed as one of the measures to increase the corrosion resistance rather than pure zinc plating. The alloy plating layer has a corrosion resistance of 4-5 times that of the pure zinc plating layer, so that it is applied to automotive parts requiring high corrosion resistance even though the plating cost is high. The amount of Zn-Ni alloy plating solution is a sulfuric acid bath, a chlorinated bath, an alkali bath, and an ammonia bath. Here, the influence of the electrolytic conditions on the composition of the alloy plating in the chloride bath was investigated. The results are explained by the cathode overvoltage and the diffusion coefficient. In general, as the overvoltage of the cathode increases, the concentration polarization becomes more important than the activation polarization. The concentration polarization is determined by element diffusion in the diffusion layer. That is, as the overvoltage of the cathode increases, the Zn content having a large diffusion coefficient increases.
The electrodeposition of Zn on the automotive parts has been adapted However, because Zn electrodeposit needs to increase thickness for corrosion protection, it has problem of destruction of electrodeposit Zn-based electrodeposit have teen studied for corrosion protection and decreasing electrodeposit thickness. Especially; Zn-Co electrodeposit have much attention In this study, the Composition of Zn-Co electrodeposit in various manufacturing condition such as temperature, current density and electrolyte content was investigated to understand effect of electrolysis condition on Co content of specimen. The results were explained by cathode overvoltage and diffusion coefficient. As the current density increases, the electrolyte temperature decreases, and as the electrolyte concentration decreases, the overvoltage of the cathode increases. As the overvoltage of the cathode increases, the concentration polarization becomes more important than the activation polarization. Concentration polarization is determined by the diffusion of the mass transfer in the diffusion layer. In a constant concentration polarization, a large amount of elements with a large diffusion coefficient is diffused. That is, as the overvoltage of the cathode increases, the Zn content having a large diffusion coefficient increases.

The effective method to detect the mutagenicity of N-nitrosodimethylamineI (NDMA) by using Salmonella/microsome assay was studied. The Effect of vitamin C on the mutagenicity of the formed NDMA and during the formation of NDMA from nitrite and secondary amine was also investigated. Aroclor 1254-induced hamster S9 mix was more effective in activation NDMA than rat S9 mix induced by Aroclor 1254 or phenobarbital. Dimethyl sulfoxide and ethanol suppressed the mutagenic effect of NDMA, however, phosphate butter (pH 7.4), distilled water, 95% methanol and Tween 80 + water (1 : 4) were the appropriate dissolving system in the mutagenicity test of NDMA. Vitamin C did not show any inhibitory effect on the mutagenicity of the formed NDMA. However, the revertants of Salmonella typhinutrium TA 100 were significntly reduced (p<0.05) when vitamin C was added to the reaction mixture of nitrite and dimethylamine during the formation of NDMA. The amount of the formed NDMA was analyzed using HPLC and the level was decreased by about 95%. Thus it was concluded that vitamin C inhibited greatly the formation of NDMA from nitrite and dimethylamine.

Self-aligned MOSFETS using a polysilicon gate are widely fabricated in silicon technology. The polysilicon layer acts as a mask for the source and drain implants and does as gate electrode in the final product. However, the usage of polysilicon gate as a self-aligned mask is restricted in fabricating SiC MOSFETS since the following processes such as dopant activation, ohmic contacts are done at the very high temperature to attack the stability of the polysilicon layer. A metal instead of polysilicon can be used as a gate material and even can be used for ohmic contact to source region of SiC MOSFETS, which may reduce the number of the fabrication processes. Co-formation process of metal-source/drain ohmic contact and gate has been examined in the 4H-SiC based vertical power MOSFET At low bias region (<20V), increment of leakage current after RTA was detected. However, the amount of leakage current increment was less than a few tens of ph. The interface trap densities calculated from high-low frequency C-V curves do not show any difference between w/ RTA and w/o RTA. From the C-V characteristic curves, equivalent oxide thickness was calculated. The calculated thickness was 55 and 62nm for w/o RTA and w/ RTA, respectively. During the annealing, oxidation and silicidation of Ni can be occurred. Even though refractory nature of Ni, 950$^{\circ}C$ is high enough to oxidize it. Ni reacts with silicon and oxygen from SiO$_2$ 1ayer and form Ni-silicide and Ni-oxide, respectively. These extra layers result in the change of capacitance of whole oxide layer and the leakage current

Carbon nanotubes (CNTs) are attractive for field emitter because of their outstanding electrical, mechanical, and chemical properties. Several applications using CNTs as field emitters have been demonstrated such as field emission display (FED), backlight unit (BLU), and X-ray source. In this study, we fabricated a CNT cathode using transparent ultra-thin CNT film. First, CNT aqueous solution was prepared by ultrasonically dispersing purified single-walled carbon nanotubes (SWCNTs) in deionized water with sodium dodecyl sulfate (SDS). To obtain the CNT film, the CNT solution in a milliliter or even several tens of micro-litters was deposited onto a porous alumina membrane through vacuum filtration process. Thereafter, the alumina membrane was solvated by the 3 M NaOH solution and the floating CNT film was easily transferred to an indium-tin-oxide (ITO) glass substrate of $0.5\times0.5cm^2$ with a film mask. The transmittance of as-prepared ultra-thin CNT films measured by UV-Vis spectrophotometer was 68~97%, depending on the amount of CNTs dispersed in an aqueous solution. Roller activation, which is a essential process to improve the field emission characteristics of CNT films, increased the UV-Vis transmittance up to 93~98%. This study presents SEM morphology of CNT emitters and their field emission properties according to the concentration of CNTs in an aqueous solutions. Since the ultra-thin CNT emitters prepared from the solutions show a high peak current density of field emission comparable to that of the paste-base CNT emitters and do not contain outgassing sources such as organic binders, they are considered to be very promising for small-size-but-high-end applications including X-ray sources and microwave power amplifiers.

Gecko proteins have long been used as anti-tumor agents in oriental medicine, without any scientific background. Although anti-tumor effects of Gecko proteins on several cancers were recently reported, their effect on bladder cancer has not been investigated. Thus, we explored the anti-tumor effect of Gecko proteins and its cellular mechanisms in human bladder cancer 5637 cells. Gecko proteins significantly reduced the viability of 5637 cells without any cytotoxic effect on normal cells. These proteins increased the Annexin-V staining and the amount of condensed chromatin, demonstrating that the Gecko proteinsinduced cell death was caused by apoptosis. Gecko proteins suppressed Akt activation, and the overexpression of constitutively active form of myristoylated Akt prevented Gecko proteins-induced death of 5637 cells. Furthermore, Gecko proteins activated caspase 9 and caspase 3/7. Taken together, our data demonstrated that Gecko proteins suppressed the Akt pathway and activated the intrinsic caspase pathway, leading to the apoptosis of bladder cancer cells. Differential responses of red pepper plant and cultured cells to enhanced ${\gamma}$-ray($^{60}$ Co) and ultraviolet(UV) stress were investigated. In seed treatment, 1 Gy of ${\gamma}$-ray increased seedling dry weight up to 19.1%, but 50 Gy treatment markedly ingibited seed germination and subsequent growth of seedling. UV treatment to seed did not change the germination ability of seeds and the growth of seedlings regardless of duration of UV treatment until 24 hrs. In case of UV treatment to seedlings, plant injury was seriously progressed even after the seedlings were returned to no UV condition, and eventually all the leaves showed chlorosis by the stress. However, progress of plant injury by ${\gamma}$-ray stress slower than that caused by UV stress, and even at the high dose of ${\gamma}$-ray 50 Gy, did not caused the cholrosis of stressed plant leaf. Amount of electrolytes leakage from plant leaf by UV treatment for 24hrs was increased up to 28.8 folds in comparison with untreated control, whereas that of 50 Gy of ${\gamma}$-ray was increased only 1.2 folds. UV stress induced the production of capsidiol, antimicrobial phytoalexin, by activation of gene expression involved in capsidiol biosynthesis, such as sesquiterpene cyclase and cyclase and cytochrome P450 hydroxylase in the leaf and cultured cell, but ${\gamma}$-ray stress induced neither the production of capsidiol nor expression of the genes.
Anti-oxidation and flame resistant polyurethane nanofibers were prepared by electrospinning and aluminum hydroxide addition. Electrospinning was carried out under the following procedure conditions; applied voltage, 20 kV; polymer solution feeding rate, 1.2 ml/h; collector rolling speed, 120 rpm; and tip to collector distance, 15 cm. Aluminum hydroxide was added to the prepared polymer solution for electrospinning to enhance the oxidation and flame resistant properties. The thermal properties were investigated by thermogravimetric analysis to determine the polymer decomposition temperature, integral procedure decomposition temperature, final decomposition temperature, and remaining amount after thermal decomposition. The activated energy for polymer degradation was also investigated using the Horowitz-Metzger equation. The activation energy increased to more than 50%. The thermal properties of the polyurethane nanofibers were improved by a hydration reaction during the thermal decomposition of aluminum hydroxide around $300{\sim}500^{\circ}C$.
The rate Constants and energies of activation for the Combustion reaction of Korean anthracites have obtained by DTA method using the following rate equation derived by authors. $K=\frac{C_3{\cdot}W_0}{{\Delta}H{\cdot}{\Delta}C{\cdot}M{\cdot}S_A}(\frac{dy}{dt}+A(y-y_3))$ The anthracites of various ranks were treated at the different temperatures in the furnace. The probable combustion reaction mechanisms have discussed with the results obtained by the X-ray diffraction method, IR spectroscophic analysis, and gas chromatography. By the intensity of d(002) Values, it was confirmed that a parts of the amorphous carbon was converted to graphite form by heat treatment. The appreciable amounts of CO gas were expelled in the combustion process and it appeared that a little amount of the gas came from the catalytic decomposition of anthracites, The functional groups such as -OH, -SH, -NH, $-CH_2-CH_3,$ -CO, -COC-. and polycondensed aromatic rings in anthracites have observed by IR spectrophotometric analysis.
