This descriptive study was done to investigate the degree of knowledge and attitudes, the need of health education, and the relationship between knowledge and attitudes concerning AIDS in senior high school students. The data was collected from 386 senior high school students(200 boys, 180 girls) in K city. The data was gathered by a self reporting questionnaire, from Nov. 22nd to the 30th, 1995. Data was analyzed using the descriptive statistics methods: t-test, F-test, Pearson-Correlation Coefficient, GLM with the statistical computer package, SAS. The Result of this study were as follows : 1. The mean score of knowledge about AIDS was 42.70 from a total score of 58, showing significant differences between boys and girls (p<0.0001). 2. The mean score of attitudes about AIDS was 29.95 from a total score of 40, showing no significant differences between boys and girls. 3. The selected contents that the students want to learn were prevention, etiology, transmission, symptoms, and treatment of AIDS in that order. 4. The relationship between knowledge and attitude about AIDS show a positive correlation and is statistically significant(r=0.27, p<0.0001). The information obtained from this study will provi a useful data to develop a practical health education program about AIDS for senior high school students.
The purpose of study is to find out common factors and variables that affect common factors in level of right knowledge. attitude behavior with respect to AIDS. During the period form Apr.1. 1995 to Jun. 30. guestionnaires, written both in Korean and English. were distributed to Korean Malaysion employees woring at a certain Korean Video companies. and results of replies. given by 80 workers by country. were used as the research matrials. The gathered marials were analyzed through the SPSS package t-test. ANOVA. factor analysis. and the following results were obtained. The 4 extracted common factors could be named 'general publicity', 'transmissive knowledge', 'diagnosis. prevention'. and 'limitted publicity'. The means of trasimssive knowledge. diagnosos. prevention. limtted publicity factors showed higher means in groups who had beyond university level of education than in showed higher means in groups who beyond university level of education than in groups who had below high school level of education. There was a significant relationship between general publicity factor and econmic state. and between limitted publicity factor and preventive education

Purpose: A study of university students was conducted to explore their prejudice toward AIDS, social interaction with AIDS patients, and intention to practice AIDS preventive measures. Method: This study used a cross-sectional descriptive survey design. A self-reported questionnaire was completed by 145 university students. Data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, t-test, and ANOVA with SPSS 11.5. Result: The mean score for prejudice toward AIDS was 23.54, implying a low level of prejudice toward AIDS by the subjects. The mean score for social interaction with AIDS patients was 20.92, indicating a moderate level of intention for social interaction with AIDS patients. The mean score for intention to practice AIDS prevention was 24,74, assuming a strong intention to practice AIDS prevention. Those who had higher mean scores for AIDS Knowledge showed significantly higher mean scores for social interaction with AIDS patients and intention to practice prevention than those who had lower scores. Conclusion: Research findings showed that university students had a low level of prejudice toward AIDS, a moderate level of social interaction with AIDS patients and a high level of intention to practice AIDS prevention. Therefore, a specially designed AIDS education program is needed for university students so as not to provoke fear or stigma toward AIDS patients and to support AIDS patients.

Objectives: This study was conducted to identify the correlations among the knowledge, attitude and preventive infection behaviors regarding AIDS of general hospital nurses. Methods: Participants were 314 nurses who have been working for a C hospital in G city. Data were collected from December 3, 2012 to December 14, 2012 after the informed consents were obtained from the participants with the help of nursing department. Results: Knowledge based on general characteristics was not different significantly. AIDS attitudes showed significant differences by age, marital status, religion and workplace and preventive infection behaviors, by age, position, duration of clinical experience. Significant correlations were not observed among the knowledge, attitude and preventive infection behaviors regarding AIDS. Conclusions: This study showed that the knowledge of nurses regarding AIDS will need to be improved by systematic training, and, rather than preventive infection behaviors simply based on knowledge, a training program that includes physical, mental, and social aspects based on the latest information.
The purpose of this study seeks entry into a method to make the use of educational aids popular. To achieve it, it is observed that instructions applying worksheets to make an activation of use of educational aids have influences on mathematical achievement and mathematical disposition and attitude. All variables exception with the frequence of use of educational aids are controlled in both experimental group and comparative group. According to the result, there is no significant difference of mathematical achievement in pre t-test between two groups, while experimental group get 10 points higher than comparative group in average (t=0.519, p<0.01). On the other hand, within intra-experimental group the influences of use of educational aids on mathematical achievement is positive without the achievement levels of students. The difference dependent on the levels of student is sought by ANCOVA using prescores as a covariance, and it appears in the significance level of 5%(F=4.885, p<0.05), and the effect is more in the lower level of students than in the middle and high level.
This study was designed to get basic data about AIDS educational program development of students of university, especially for students of the department of Emergecy Medical Technology. The objective of this study was to identify the level of AIDS related Knowledge and Attitude of freshmen of university. The subject for this study consisted of 2022 male and female students who entered in 2005to Gongju National university in Chungnam province. Data was colledted by self-reporting questionaire consist of 66 items on 20th, February, 2005. The findings of this study can be summarized as follows. 1) The mean overall knowledge score was estimated to be 70.22%. 2) The knowledge score about definition of AIDS was high(93.2%). but knowledge score about progression and incubation period was low(48%). 3) AIDS related knowledge about diagnosis with blood was was high(91.2%), but those about period of antibody formation was relatively low(66.2%). 4) The score about latent appearance of AIDS-related symptoms was hlgh(93.7%), but those of apprehension of individual symptom was very low(57.5%). 5) Percentage of correctly answered respondent about transmission with needle and transfusion was very high(>94%), but the score of transmission through the anal and oral sex was relatively low(75-79%). 6) The knowledge score about prevention with condom was high(89.5%), but misconception of disinfection and vaccination was also high. 7) Acknowledgement about utility of consultation, information, treatment was very low (10-17%). In the end, the study concludes that it is necessary to develop comprehensive AIDS education programs to improve knowledge about the disease as well as to allay the fears and anxiety of the contact.

The paper deals with the design and implementation of Navigational Aids Training Simulator (VR-NATS) by Virtual Reality (VR). To gave interaction and immersible training situation to the user, prototype VR-NATS was developed based on the object-oriented operating system with 3D objects of navigational aids. Using the VR-NATS we created virtual navigational aids. As results from the assessment tests, students can obtain IALA (International Association of Lighthouse Authorities) rules of the navigational aids exactly and quickly comparing with conventional education methods. Thus, we found that he proposed VR-NAT is very effective for the next-generation simulation system.
The AIDS is a serious health problem worldwide today and also in Korea. Increasing knowledge and modification of behavior by health education is an important goal of human immunodeficiency virus(HIV) prevention strategies. And school health education is an important part of health education. This study was conducted to evaluate the knowledge and attitude about AIDS in teachers and professors in Taegu City and to provide the basic data for school health education. A self-administered questionnaire was given to 1,124 teachers and professors from April to June 1992. Indeed, the majority of the teachers and professors have a lot of knowledges about AIDS, but many of them also have misconceptions. The level of knowledge about AIDS was positively associated with attitude toward infected students. The sources of knowledge about AIDS were mainly TV, newspapers and magazines, but a few of the subjects obtained their knowledge from health education programs. This study suggests that the reinforcement of health education for the teachers, professors and students he needed to provide the accurate knowledge on AIDS and adequate knowledge sources and materials for school health education on AIDS should be developed.
Purpose : Since the acquired immune deficiency syndrome (AIDS) was first recognized in the United States in the summer of 1981, the number of these patients has been increasing in the world. But do not find out a cure and a vaccine for ARS (5). And so, the best treatment for AIDS is the prevention. People can find out accurate knowledge about AIDS, and they can prevent themselves from AIDS approximately 100%. In this study, we investigate with AIDS knowledge and attitudes in unmarried young men (<24 age) and suggest accurate preventive education for AIDS and good sexual behaviors. Methods : Un-married young soldiers and college students who were not diagnosed as AIDS until June 30, 2000 were included in the study. The study included a total of 923 men. A self evaluation questionnaire, included questions on 36 items(the part of demographic data - 9; the part of knowledge - 20; the part of attitudes - 8), was drawn up by three physicians. The demographic data, AIDS knowledge and attitudes were analyzed by chi-square analysis, and the total score of AIDS knowledge - comparison according to demographic factors and attitudewere analyzed by one-way ANOVA test. Results : In demographic characteristics, as for the first recognized time of AIDS, most of men knew it when they were in their middle school, as for sources of information on AIDS, most of them knew it through the TV-media, and as for the educational need about AIDS, most of them agreed with it. In AIDS knowledge, mean scores were $14.0{\pm}1.8$ (70.3%). Items of the misconceptions concerning AIDS, reported as less than 50% correct answers, were 6 among 20 items (30%). In AIDS attitudes, as for the item about that if I will be an AIDS patient, I will have an AIDS treatment, it showed that the number of men agreed with 759 (82.2%), and as for the item about that I will help for AIDS patient even though I don't know him, it showed that the number of them agreed with 412 (45.8%). In correlation of AIDS knowledge and demographic factors, the mean scores of knowledge of men with higher than college degree were higher than them of others. The mean scores of knowledge of men with total income of family with more than US$1667 were higher than them of others. The mean scores of knowledge of men with sources of information on AIDS through the TV-media were higher than them of others. And the mean scores of knowledge of men with past medical history of STD(sexually transmitted disease) were higher than them of others. Conclusions : The higher the knowledge he has, the lower the possibility of risk and the more positive the attitude he has. And then we think that the education program for AIDS will be included as a regular part of the curriculum in high school, and young men must be effectively educated by it.
Purpose. The purpose of this study was conducted to provide the hospital infection control and personal protection, protection of the technician based on data by examining the relationship of hepatitis B knowledge of AIDS knowledge and attitudes of dental hygiene students and the purpose of the present study. Methods. The research subjects were 390 dental hygiene students in limited and data were collected through structured questionnaires. Conclusion. In order to provided with a thorough prevention program for infectious disease, strengthen school health education and clinical training to help achieve a mutually constructive relationship with the patient through proper education about infectious diseases.
