A Study on the Corporate Image and Clothes Purchasing Behavior Depending on the Degree of Interest in Cultural Marketing - Focusing on Uniqlo Brand - (문화마케팅 관심도에 따른 기업이미지 및 의복구매행동에 관한 연구 - 유니클로 브랜드를 중심으로 -)

  • This study analyzes empirically the effect of the degree of interest in cultural marketing on corporate image and how the corporate images affect on consumers' clothes purchasing behavior through the case of a fashion brand, 'Uniqlo'. For this, Chi-square test and independent sample T-test were used for the verification of differences in frequency and average by general characteristics of respondents. To observe the effects between ration scales, it carried out a multiple regression analysis, and also, using AMOS16.0, it verified the suitability of the route model and estimated the coefficients for each route. From the result of analysis, it was found that degree of consumer's interest in cultural marketing affects on corporate images such as corporate confidence and marketing and the corporate image again is closely related to consumer's clothes purchasing behavior and satisfaction. In other words, the consumers who have greater interest in corporations using cultural marketing or who had participated in various cultural events are more likely to think that 'Uniqlo' is a reliable corporation who actively uses cultural factors in marketing. Likely, it was observed that the positive corporate image of 'Uniqlo' has a large influence on purchase of their products and also, it makes consumers feel as if they are participating in mecenat, thus increasing consumer's satisfaction after purchase. This study has a limitation in generalization of study result because it focused on a case of particular brand. However, it is still helpful for the empirical study for growth and reinvigoration of the market for cultural marketing, and through a case of leading corporation, it provides implications to the corporations who use or do not use cultural marketing.

Evaluation of the Non-use Values of Taishan Mountain Cultural Heritage

  • The contingent valuation method (CVM) is one of the most commonly used and effective methods to evaluate non-use value of resources. Reasonable application of CVM to value the cultural heritage is the key process of evaluation. CVM was used to evaluate the non-use value of cultural heritage of Taishan Mountain combined with questionnaire survey and field research in this study. The results indicated that the importance of the degree of the three components of non-use value was heritage value ranked highest (40.22%) > followed by existence value (38.58%) >then option value (21.20%). In addition, the rate of willingness to pay was 54.52%, the average and median values of per person were 40.17 CNY·a-1 and 20.00 CNY·a-1 and the non-use values of Taishan Mountain cultural heritage was 33 million CNY·a-1. The median value of WTP was consistent with Asian countries but was lower than European and American countries. Factors influencing WTP showed that monthly income and satisfaction with Taishan Mountain were correlated to WTP, and family location and willingness to revist were correlated remarkably with WTP. In addition, monthly income was correlated remarkably with WTP value, however other factors were not. The results showed the importance and necessity of protective development of Taishan Mountain cultural heritage, which would be used as an important reference for decision makers.

A Study on the uTradeHub Acceptance Factors Effecting upon the System Usefulness and User Satisfaction (uTradeHub 수용요인이 시스템 유용성과 사용자 만족도에 미치는 영향)

  • This research herein aims to assist maximizing performance of introduced systems by managing the acceptance factor of uTradeHub that is easily overlooked in the system installation process by trading companies aiming to install uTradeHub system in future by conducting the two following things: i) grasping factors affecting system usefulness and user satisfaction derived from uTradeHub acceptance factor, and ii) analyzing the effect relationship of system usefulness on user satisfaction at an inspection level of system usefulness and user satisfaction, since the uTradeHub system introduced for mid- and small-sized trading companies in export and import works in mid-2008. Proof analysis was conducted by using SPSS 19.0 statistic package on data of 112 effective responses collected through questionnaire surveys, whose results are as follows. First, the uTradeHub acceptance factors having a significant effect on system usefulness are relative advantage, easy of use, task adaptedness, support of CEO, maturity of IT infrastructures, and degree of education/training. Second, the uTradeHub acceptance factors having an effect on user satisfaction are relative advantages, task adaptedness, support of CEO, maturity of IT infrastructures, and degree of education/training. Third, system usefulness showed a significant effect on user satisfaction.

Differences of Resources of Natural Recreation Forest Developed by Public and Private Body (공공 휴양림과 민간 휴양림의 개발요소별 이용 만족도의 차이)

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the differences of user´s satisfaction of development elements of natural recreation forest(NFR) developed by public and private bodies in order to answer the research question: What is the differences of user´s satisfaction of development elements of NFR\ulcorner After reviewing the literature, mechanism of outdoor recreation, and development elements in NRF, we constructed the conceptual framework and have formulated the hypothesis of this research. We had obtained data through a questionnaire, which surveyed 584 visitors at 10 of the 72 natural recreation forests in Korea in 1999. We have analyzed the data using he descriptive statistical method, the mean difference test, and logistic regression method. We have found that 1) all the development elements have turned out to be significantly different from the mean difference test, 2) the two elements of atmosphere and activity have turned out to be statistically significant in determining the difference of NFR developed by public and private body in logistic regression analysis while user´s satisfaction in recreational resources, facilities and service make no differences between public and private NRF, 3) the higher the degree of user´s satisfaction in atmosphere and activity at NFR, the more the NFR developed by private body, and 4) their relative contribution of atmosphere and activities on whether the NFR is developed by public or private body have been turned out to have 0.258 and 0.242 respectively, which have a similar importance. The research results suggest that a guideline for the creation of marketable NFR by public and private developer, and development of use-programs and recreational atmosphere be recommended in the planning and development process of NRF. The approach and anlaysis method adopted by this research is highly useful for an evaluation of NRF developed by the tow bodies and development of devices for increasing user´s satisfaction and marketing positioning of NRF by the tow developers. It is recommended that more empirical study on individual development elements affecting user´s satisfaction be performed in the future.

  • This study focus on analyzing the factors which influence the customer satisfaction of food delivery application and its degree of the influence on the quality satisfaction both with Korean and Chinese customers. For this purpose, the model of hypothetical structure was established through the mobile internet service quality measurement was called as MOBISQUAL. As a result, the Korean customers was confirmed that the fulfillment and playfulness as the subdimension of outcome quality both have a positive effect on customer satisfaction. And the Chinese customer was confirmed that the playfulness of outcome quality, personalization of contextual interaction, design, ease of use and security of servicescape quality affected customer satisfaction positively.

Consumer Satisfaction with Paid Caregiving in General Hospitals According to Type of Paid Caregiver (종합병원 유료간병인 이용행태에 따른 의료소비자의 만족도)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the present use of caregiver services, to evaluate the degree of satisfaction with the services according to type of caregiver service, private or public, and to provide data for the development of a plan which will provide good quality service with less economic and psychological burden to the patients and their families. Survey data were collected from 130 patients in 4 general hospitals in Seoul, and their families. Data were collected during April, 2004, using a questionnaire which included the patient satisfaction scale developed by Jun (2001). Data were analyzed using frequencies, percentages, means and standard deviations, $X^2$ analysis, t-test. The SPSS computer program was used to facilitate analysis. The results of this study are summarized as follows; The total score for satisfaction was high for both groups. For the private caregiver group it was $52.38{\pm}11.08$, and for the public caregiver group, $58.14{\pm}9.64$. This difference was significant(t=-3.391, p=.001). In all of areas, the scores for satisfaction of the public caregiver service group were higher than private caregiver service group, ie. caregivers' attitude, role, confidence, performance, and service charge, and all the differences were significant. In conclusion, it was found that long-term hospitalization of older patients with high dependence resulted in more caregiver service. There were more severe patients in the public caregiver group, but the service charges, additional costs and paid holidays were less. Based on these results, patients and their families were significantly more satisfied with public caregiver service because it was not only less expensive but also had a high quality of service. Thus, caregiver services should be systemized so that patients and their families will get the best quality caregiver service

The Status and Attitudes on Drug Abuse in Primary School Students (초등학교 학생의 약물남용에 대한 실태와 태도)

  • The purpose of this study was to find out the status of and attitudes on drug abuse in primary school students, to provide basic data for preventing the youth from their drug abuse and contributing to improve their health. 36.0% of the students had an experience of the education to prevent from drug abuse, the students wanted to have an education on drug abuse in primary school, 71% of the subjects preferred to school nurses as the education about drug abuse, and 2.9% of the students show their intention to use drug when their friends recommend to take drug. For the experience of drinking, there was a significant difference to the degree of satisfaction at their school($x^2$=23.29, p=.001), their association with father's smoking ($x^2$=13.16, p=.001), and mother's ($x^2$=5.60, p=.018) smoking. The experience of drinking showed no significant differences according to the grade and the experience of prevention education on drug abuse. Attitudes on drug abuse according to the general characteristics showed significant differences according to the grade (t=4.10, p=.007), the degree of satisfaction at the school(t=8.86, p=.000), their association with any father's drinking(t=3.18, p=.002) and mother's(t=5.23, p=.000), father's smoking(t=3.21, p=.001) and mother's(t=31.87, p=.000), the state of drug use during the pain(t=7.18, p=.000).

  • One stream of the GDSS(Group Decision Support System) research is to investigate how GDSS affects decision performances of small groups according to task types, support features, meeting facilitation modes and meeting environments. But little study has investigated the effects of group member characteristics on group decision processes and outcomes depending upon whether GDSS is provided or not. To date, most GDSS studies have not controlled group member characteristics(e,g. personality, sex, decision style) in laboratory experiments. However, this study included the decision styles of group members as an independent variable. Therefore, this study investigated how differently members of two different decision styles perceive the use of GDSS in small group meetings through lab experiments. The two decision styles are feeling(F) style and thinking(T) style. We found that the effect of GDSS is a function of individual's decision style only in the communication thoroughness variable. The decision style is a statistically significant factor that can mediate the effects of the group support technology on the perceived communication thoroughness. Specifically, the GDSS is positively related to participants' perception about satisfaction on decision process, goal achievement, communication thoroughness, degree of influence-outward and effort for achieving meeting goals.

Parents' perception on middle school foodservice using environment friendly agricultural products (EFAP) in Masan area (마산시 중학교 학부모의 친환경 농산물 학교급식에 대한 인식 조사)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate parent's perception of a middle school foodservice in Masan city, Korea that uses environmentally friendly agricultural products (EFAP). From May 29, 2009 to July 11, 2009, questionnaires were distributed to 350 parents of middle schools located in Masan city. A total of 295 responded and 276 (response rate, 78.9%) were used for the final analysis after excluding improperly completed questionnaires. First, 47.8% of the parents responded that they had participated in the school foodservice operation (receiving food, attending foodservice-related events, working as a meal service aid, evaluating suppliers). Receiving food (53.7%) accounted for the greatest proportion in the participating area. Second, most subjects (83.0%) responded that they were aware of the use of EFAP. Additionally, 96.4% of the subject approved expanding the use of EFAP for all items. Third, their degree of interest in the school foodservice was 3.86, and satisfaction with the school foodservice was 3.94 based on a 5-point Likert scale. The overall satisfaction on the quality of EFAP used in the school foodservice was 3.68 based on a 5-point Likert scale. Fourth, awareness that the school used EFAP in the foodservice by the parents who participated in school foodservice operations was higher than that of parents who did not participate. Satisfaction (4.10) with the school foodservice by parents who participated in school foodservice operations was significantly higher than that (3.79) of parents who did not participate (p < 0.001). In conclusion, parent's participation in school foodservice operations should increase to improve the quality of the school foodservice and improve communication between parents and the school.
