침도침 시술을 통한 요추추간판탈출증 환자 4명의 증례보고 (Four Case of HIVD-Lumbar Spine Patient Treated with Acupotomy)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study is to report the effect of acupotomy for patients with Lumbar intervertebral disc Herniation. Methods : We treated Four patients who have HIVD of L-spine with acupotomy. Visual analog scores(VAS) and Oswestry Low-back pain Disabiliby Index(ODI) were compared before-treatment with after-tretment. When the patients is discharged, the satisfaction of acupotomy were graded by Five-point Likert scale. Results : VAS and ODI were decreased at all case. Likert scale point were cheked as grade 4 at all case. Conclusions : This study shows acupotomy has useful effect on HIVD of L-spine.

′유아용 창의적 행동특성 검사′의 개발을 위한 기초 연구 (A Preliminary Study of Developing the Rating Scale for Creative Characteristics of Preschoolers)

  • The purpose of this study were to develop a rating scale for screening preschoolers' creative characteristics and to examine the validity and reliability of this scale. The subjects were 85 4-5 year olds, their mothers, and teachers in Seoul. The preliminary scale of the Rating Scale for Creative Characteristics of Preschoolers(RSCCP)'was developed as a 47-item 5-point rating scale and consisted of 5 factors. 5 factors. 5 factors were 'uniqueness=-curiosity', 'openness-humor', 'sensitivity-many interest', 'imagination-playfulness', and 'independence-perseverance'. The inter-correlations among the 5 factors ranged from .31-.71. For the criterion validity, Wallach & Kogan's Creativity Test(Foster, 1971) and children's drawing were used, and for the convergence validity, the scores rated by mothers and the scores rated by leachers were compared. Test-retest reliability was .69 and Cronbach's ${\alpha}$ ranged from .76-.90. There found no significant correlations between the RSCCP scale and the 2 criterion tests, and the paired t-test for the total scores of the scale rated by the mothers and the teachers showed no differences.

수술 후 통증 평가를 위한 Visual Analogue Scale, Categorical Scale 그리고 환자 만족도와의 비교 (Comparison of Visual Analogue Scale, Categorical Scale and Satisfaction for Postoperative Pain)

  • Background: The categorical scales and visual analogue scales (VAS) are methods used for evaluating variations of postoperative pain intensity. Several studies have introduced the idea that there is a clear correlation between visual scales and categorical scales. However, when VAS is the only pain measure in the study, we do not know what point on the VAS represents a category on the categorical scale and their degree of correlation with satisfaction for postoperative pain. Methods: 252 patients who had undergone elective surgery were studied. A 5-point categorical scale (none, mild, moderate, severe, worst possible pain), a 0-100 mm VAS (no pain to worst possible pain) and patient satisfaction score were checked 24 hours after surgery using a pain questionnaire and VAS tool. Results: The mean VAS score of the 14 patients reporting 'no-pain' was $1.9{\pm}0.9$, $23.9{\pm}1.0$ for the 132 patients reporting 'mild-pain', $47.2{\pm}1.1$ for the 82 patients reporting 'moderate-pain' and $67.5{\pm}2.8$ for the 24 patients reporting 'severe-pain'. Of the patients reporting moderate pain, 85% scored over 45.6 mm on the corresponding VAS, with a mean score 47.2 mm. The mean satisfaction scores were $90.6{\pm}2.7$ for the 'no pain', patients, $75.1{\pm}1.3$ for ‘mild pain', $58.3{\pm}1.5$ for 'moderate pain', and $55.1{\pm}4.0$ for 'severe pain' patients. The categorical scale was significantly correlated with VAS (P < 0.01). The satisfaction score was significantly inversely correlated with VAS (P < 0.01). Conclusions: Our results indicate that if a patient records a VAS score in excess of 45.6 mm they would probably have recorded at least moderate pain on a 5-point categorical scale. The categorical scale can be used properly for postoperative pain measurement with VAS. More research is required for the development of suitable pain descriptor for a categorical scale and pain questionnaire in Korean.

죽음불안과 삶의 의미가 조손가정 조부모의 신체화에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Death Anxiety and Meaning of Life on Somatization of Grandparent Raising Grandchildren)

  • Purpose: This study was conducted in order to examine the effects of death anxiety and meaning of life on somatization of grandparents raising grandchildren. Methods: A convenience sample of 92 elderly grandparents raising grandchildren was recruited. The study instrument for death anxiety was the 5-point 15 items scale designed by Templer and translated by Ko, Choi, & Lee and for meaning of life, the 7-point 10-items scale by Steger, Frazier, Oishi & Kaler and translated by Won, Kim & Kwon. For somatization, the 5-point 12 items scale designed by Derogatis and translated by Kim, Kim & Won was used. Collected data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson Correlation and regression using the SPSS 21.0 program. Results: Average scores were 3.55 for death anxiety, 3.43 for meaning of life, and 2.74 for somatization. Death anxiety had the highest positive correlation with somatization. Meaning of life was negatively correlated with death anxiety and somatization. Death anxiety and health status were shown to influence somatization but meaning of life was not shown to influence somatization. Conclusion: The research results indicate that death anxiety and health status influence somatization in grandparents raising grandchildren. These results also provide basic information on the importance of nursing interventions in which the variables influencing somatization in grandparents raising grandchildren are considered.

간호대학생의 전공만족도, 진로결정 자기효능감과 진로정체감 관계 (Relations between Satisfaction in Major, Career Decision-making Self-efficacy and Career Identity of Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relation between satisfaction in major, career decision-making self-efficacy and career identity of nursing students. Methods: Data were collected from 543 students by means of self reported questionnaires about satisfaction in major, career decision-making self-efficacy and career identity from November 26 to 30, 2012. Results: The average score of satisfaction in major, career decision-making self-efficacy and career identity of nursing students was 3.56 on a 5 point-scale, 3.28 on a 5 point-scale, and 2.65 on a 4 point-scale respectively. There were significant correlation between satisfaction in major, career decision-making self-efficacy and career identity of nursing students. Career identity could be explained 26.2% by satisfaction in major, career decision-making self-efficacy, admission motivation, and school grade. Conclusion: Career identity was correlated with satisfaction in major and career decision-making self-efficacy in nursing students. Therefore, it is necessary to develop an effective intervention program to improve nursing students's satisfaction in major, career decision-making self-efficacy and career identity.

임상실습 교수효율성과 임상실습교육환경이 간호학생의 임상실습수행능력에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Teaching Effectiveness and Clinical Learning Environment on Clinical Practice Competency in Nursing Students)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of the teaching effectiveness and clinical learning environment on the clinical practice competency in nursing students. Method: Undergraduate nursing students (268) enrolled in one of 4 universities in 2 cities completed a survey questionnaire. Collected data were analyzed using descriptive statistics, Pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression with the SPSS/Win 11.0 program. Results: The mean score for teaching effectiveness was 3.09 (${\pm}.53$) on a 5-point scale, for clinical learning environment, 3.09 (${\pm}.50$) on a 5-point scale, and for clinical practice competency, 3.94 (${\pm}.52$) on a 6-point scale. Significant positive correlations were found between teaching effectiveness and clinical learning environment, and clinical practice competency. The regression model explained 8.8% of clinical practice competency. Teaching effectiveness and clinical learning environment were significant predictors of clinical practice competency. Conclusion: The findings of the study suggest that teaching effectiveness and clinical learning environment be considered when developing strategies to increase clinical practice competency in nursing students.

간호대학생의 의사소통 중요성 인식, 자존감 및 의사소통능력이 환자안전태도에 미치는 영향 (Influence of Perception of Importance of Communication, Self-esteem and Communication skill on Patient Safety attitude of Nursing student)

  • 본 연구는 간호대학생의 의사소통 중요성 인식, 자존감 및 의사소통능력이 환자안전태도에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위해 시도되었다. 간호학과 3·4학년에 재학 중인 164명을 대상으로 설문지를 이용하여 2019년 5월 17일부터 6월 14일까지 자료를 수집하였다. 수집된 자료는 빈도, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson's correlation, 위계적 회귀분석으로 SPSS WIN 23을 이용하여 분석하였다. 연구결과 간호대학생의 의사소통 중요성 인식은 3.75점(5점 척도), 자존감은 3.64점(4점 척도), 의사소통능력은 3.60점(5점 척도), 환자안전태도는 4.44점(5점 척도)으로 나타났다. 환자안전태도는 의사소통 중요성 인식(r=.57. p <.001), 자존감(r=.32. p <.001), 의사소통능력(r=.34. p <.001)과 유의한 정적 상관관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 의사소통 중요도 인식(β=.520, p<.001)과 자존감(β=.165, p=.039)이 환자안전태도를 34.9% 설명하는 것으로 나타났다. 그러므로 간호대학생의 환자안전태도을 향상시키기 위해서 의사소통 중요성 인식과 자존감을 향상 시킬 수 있는 프로그램의 개발 및 적용이 필요하다.

Graph Database Solution for Higher Order Spatial Statistics in the Era of Big Data

  • We present an algorithm for the fast computation of the general N-point spatial correlation functions of any discrete point set embedded within an Euclidean space of ${\mathbb{R}}n$. Utilizing the concepts of kd-trees and graph databases, we describe how to count all possible N-tuples in binned configurations within a given length scale, e.g. all pairs of points or all triplets of points with side lengths < rmax. Through benchmarking we show the computational advantage of our new graph-based algorithm over more traditional methods. We show that all 3-point configurations up to and beyond the Baryon Acoustic Oscillation scale (~200 Mpc in physical units) can be performed on current Sloan Digital Sky Survey (SDSS) data in reasonable time. Finally we present the first measurements of the 4-point correlation function of ~0.5 million SDSS galaxies over the redshift range 0.43< z <0.7. We present the publicly available code GRAMSCI (GRAph Made Statistics for Cosmological Information; bitbucket.org/csabiu/gramsci), under a GNU General Public License.

엘리트 선수의 도핑 사고성향 분석을 위한 한국형 PEAS의 타당도 검증: Rasch 모형 적용 (Study on the validity of PEAS for analyzing doping attitude and disposition of Korean elite player through Rasch model)

  • 이 연구는 Rasch 모형을 적용하여 우리나라 엘리트 선수의 도핑 사고성향 분석을 위한 PEAS의 타당도를 검증하는데 목적이 있다. PEAS (performance enhancement attitude scale)는 Petroczi (2006)이 제시한 선수들의 도핑 (doping)에 대한 사고방식과 성향을 측정하는 척도로 17문항 6점 척도로 구성되어 있다. 국가대표 엘리트 선수 438명을 대상으로 측정하였고, Rasch 모형을 적용하여 타당도를 분석하였다. 우선 Rasch 모형의 기본가정인 일차원성을 검증하기 위해 SPSS 프로그램을 적용하여 주성분분석을 실시하였다. 문항의 적합도 검증과 측정척도 범주의 타당도, 그리고 성별에 따른 차별기능문항을 추출하기 위해 Winsteps 프로그램을 이용하였다. 분석에 모든 유의수준은 .05로 설정하였다. 자료분석 결과는 다음과 같다. 첫째, 총 17문항으로 구성된 PEAS는 일차원성을 만족하는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 응답범주 수의 타당도는 6점척도보다 5점척도가 더 적합한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 문항의 적합도는 17문항 중 7문항 (문항1, 문항9, 문항10, 문항12, 문항13, 문항14, 문항17)이 통계적으로 적합하지 못한 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 성별에 따른 차별기능문항 분석 결과 3문항 (문항3, 문항12, 문항13)이 추출되었다. 따라서 이 연구에서 우리나라 엘리트 선수의 도핑 사고성향분석을 위한 PEAS는 9문항 5점척도가 타당한 것으로 구명되었다.

The First Stage of Developing the Adolescent Friendship Social Capital Scale

  • The purpose of the study was to generate the candidate items for the Adolescent Friendship Social Capital Scale. Both inductive and deductive approaches were used to generate the scale items. Halpern's conceptual map of social capital served as the theoretical basis of this scale, and guided the development of items. Semi-structured interviews with adolescents in Sydney, Melbourne and Beijing generated the initial pool of scale items. Twenty-six items were generated for the Adolescent Friendship Social Capital Scale. The items are organised in four theoretical constructs: Bonding Networks, Bridging Norms, Bridging Sanctions, and Linking Networks. Each item is a short statement followed by a five-point Likert scale anchored by 1= "Strongly disagree" and 5= "Strongly agree". The scale has several advantages over previous measures of adolescent friendship networks and friendship social capital. The scale has a strong and clear theoretical structure, the scale items demonstrate initial construct and content validity, and the format of the scale enables the collection of continuous data. However, in order to ensure the validity and reliability of the scale, another two stages of research need to be conducted in the future: scale development and scale evaluation.
