온수분배기용 유량제어밸브의 개발 (Development of Flow Control Valves for Hot Water Distribution Manifolds)

  • The developed control valves, installed on the hot water distribution manifolds for the floor heating system, consist of the balancing valves and the shut-off valves. The balancing valve was designed to improve the flow control performance and to reduce the noise emitted from the valve by modification of the general V port. The port of the shut-off valve was designed with two ceramic plates, working by rotating upper plate, to improve the duration and to reduce the noise. For the evaluation of the new valves, the flow rate was measured and noise level test was carried out. The test results showed that the error of the flow rate accuracy test for the flow balance of each manifold circuit was less than ${\pm}3%$ and the noise level was less than 35 dB(A).

  • The K-means clustering algorithm is a popular and widely used method for clustering. For covariance matrices, we consider a geodesic clustering algorithm based on the K-means clustering framework in consideration of symmetric positive definite matrices as a Riemannian (non-Euclidean) manifold. This paper considers a geodesic clustering algorithm for data consisting of symmetric positive definite (SPD) matrices, utilizing the Riemannian geometric structure for SPD matrices and the idea of a K-means clustering algorithm. A K-means clustering algorithm is divided into two main steps for which we need a dissimilarity measure between two matrix data points and a way of computing centroids for observations in clusters. In order to use the Riemannian structure, we adopt the geodesic distance and the intrinsic mean for symmetric positive definite matrices. We demonstrate our proposed method through simulations as well as application to real financial data.

  • Thrust throttling in a liquid rocket engine can be implemented via several ways such as high pressure drop injector, dual manifold, multiple chamber, pintle injector, and gas injection. Thrust throttling using gas injection controls thrust by usually injecting inert gas into propellant through an aerator to reduce the propellant's bulk density. In this study, the outside-in aerator was used in the propellant line to create two phase flow. Closed-type, open-type, and screw-type bi-swirl coaxial injectors were utilized for investigating throttling characteristics such as pressure drop, mixture density, and discharge coefficient according to gas-liquid mass ratio.

  • 5 차원 정적 다양체에 내재된 구형 대칭적인 시공간을 고려하여, 변형된 중력 이론의 하나인 DGP (Dvali, Gabadadze, and Porrati) 모형의 원거리 근사에서 측지선 방정식을 연구 하였다. 널(null) 측지선 방정식을 분석하여, 4차원 시공간에서 입자들의 유효 질량과 전달 속력을 구했다. 아인슈타인 일반상대론적 중력 이론을 규명하게 되는 중요한 업적 중에 하나인, 최근에 관측된 중력파 발견의 결과들과 측지선을 따르는 입자들의 관계성을 논의하였다. 4차원 시공간에서 전파되는 전자기파의 전달과 비교 검토 하였다.

  • In the present paper, we introduce the notion of quasi hemi-slant submanifolds of almost Hermitian manifolds and give some of its examples. We obtain the necessary and sufficient conditions for the distributions to be integrable. We also investigate the necessary and sufficient conditions for these submanifolds to be totally geodesic and study the geometry of foliations determined by the distributions. Finally, we obtain the necessary and sufficient condition for a quasi hemi-slant submanifold to be local product of Riemannian manifold.

  • The aim of this article is to study the h-almost Ricci solitons and h-almost gradient Ricci solitons on generalized Sasakian-space-forms. First, we consider h-almost Ricci soliton with the potential vector field V as a contact vector field on generalized Sasakian-space-form of dimension greater than three. Next, we study h-almost gradient Ricci solitons on a three-dimensional quasi-Sasakian generalized Sasakian-space-form. In both the cases, several interesting results are obtained.

반도체 및 FPD 분야에 사용되는 $SiH_{4}$ 가스의 공정 안전 고찰 (Review on the Process Safety of $SiH_{4}$ Gas used in Semiconductor and FPD Field)

  • When the vacuum system for the process of $SiH_{4}$ gas used in the semiconductor and FPD field is partially vented from vacuum to atmospheric state, a fire often occurs due to auto-ignition of $SiH_{4}$ gas. In order to prevent the fire, the concentration of $SiH_{4}$ should be kept under LFL. This means that the higher capacity pump is needed to meet the process conditions as well as the condition that the concentration of $SiH_{4}$ should be kept under LFL. In this article, we conducted the injection of the dilution gas at the manifold between booster pump and dry pump compared with the typical method that the dilution gas was injected into inlet port of booster pump using computer simulation. According to the result, we can flow further more purge gas for safety without any change of the condition in the process chamber, which means that the higher capacity pump is not required for safety in some cases.

  • Throughout this paper, we are working on the complex number field C. The aim of this paper is to explain the applications of Theorem 2 in .cint. 1. In the surface theory, the adjoint linear system has played important roles and many tools have been developed to understand it. In the cases of higher dimensional varieties, we don't have any useful tools so far. Theorem 2 implies that it is enough to compute the dimension of the adjoint linear system to check the birationality. We can compute, somehow, the dimension of the adjoint linear system. For example, we can get an information about $h^{0}$ (X, $O_{x}$( $K_{x}$ + D)) from Euler characteristic of vertical bar $K_{X}$ + D vertical bar and some vanishing theorems. We are going to show the applications of Theorem 2 to smooth three-folds and smooth fourfold, specially, of general type with a nef canonical divisor, smooth Fano variety, and Calabi-Yau manifold. Our main results are Theorem A and Theorem B. Most of birationality problems in Theorem A and Theorem B have been studied. (see Ando [1] and Matsuki [4] for the detail matters.) But Theorem 2 gives short and easy proofs in the cases of dimension 3 and improves the previously known results in the cases of dimension 4.4. 4.4.

도심지 주행패턴에 의한 배출물특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An experimental study on characteristics of exhaust emission due to vehicle driving pattern in urban area)

  • Driving pattern of gasoline passenger car was measured and analyzed at some areas(6urban area routes, 4 radial routes, 4 circular routes)in Seoul city. Measured items were vehicle speed, engine speed, intake manifold vacuum, and fuel consumption. Driving pattern data were reappearanced with engine dynamometer. Results of this investigation might be summarized as below; 1. When we compared urban area route with radial or circular route in rush hour, it was found that the average vehicle speed was measured to be lower about 25% and fuel consumption to be higher about 12% in urban area route. 2. Average vehicle speed was measured to be higher about 30% and driving resistance output to be higher about 25% in non-rush hour, but average fuel economy was increased a little. 3. On the bases of average fuel economy and characteristics of exhaust emissions, optimum driving vehicle speed was found about 60 km/h in the 4th(top)and about 40km/h in the 3rd in driving of experimental engine. 4. Idling frequency and exhaust emissions of CO,HC were related to idling closely. But exhaust emission of NOx, which had nothing to do with idling frequency, had relation to acceleration time ratio.

엔진 배기열 이용 유기랭킨사이클에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Research on an Organic Rankine Cycle Using Engine Exhaust Gas)

  • 본 연구에서는 산업용 가스 엔진의 배기 폐열을 회수하여 발전하는 유기랭킨사이클을 구성하고 시스템 성능 분석 실험을 수행하였다. 엔진 배기가스 열을 작동유체(냉매 R134a)에 흡수시키기 위해 Shell & Tube 방식 열교환기를 엔진 배기 매니폴드 후단에 장착하였다. 엔진출력 60 kW인 조건에서 약 63 kW의 배기가스 열을 배출하였으며, 열교환기를 통해 작동유체에 흡수된 열량은 43~46 kW로서 배기가스 열회수율은 68~73%, 최대출력은 4.6 kW로서 배기가스 열량에 대한 최대출력의 비는 7.3%을 나타내었다.
