Effects of Sr on the Characteristics of PZT Ceramics Prepared by Hydrothermal Process (수열합성법에 의해 제조된 PZT의 특성에 미치는 Sr의 영향)

  • The sintering and electrical properties of the hydrothermal PSZT powders obtained by substituting 4, 6 and 8mol% Sr for Pb in PZT lattice structure were investigated. The lattice constant and particle size decreased in proportion to a quantity of Sr. The sintering properties of PSZT powders showed $7.754g/cm^3$ of sintered density and $4{\mu}m$ of grain size at sintering temperature of $1250^{\circ}C$. Curie temperature lowered gradually from $363.6^{\circ}C\;to\;319.2^{\circ}C$ and relative dielectric constants increased rapidly by a quantity of Sr. In comparison to PZT, moreover, the quality factor of PSZT was increased more than three times with increase of Sr mole ratio, and piezoelectric constant $(d_{31}\;and\;g_{31})$ was decreased. It was found that dielectric loss of PSZT was decreased by 0.574% which was half of PZT.

Effects of Polyurethane Coatings on 304 Stainless Steel Formed by Thermoset for Safety Management of Industrial Disaster (산업 재해의 안전관리를 위한 열경화에 의한 304 스테인레스 스틸에 대한 폴리우레탄 도료의 영향)

  • The microstructures were examined by SEM, FT-IR spectra, tensible properties mole % of [NCO/OH], and particle size analyzer. Growing concerns in the environment-friendly industries have led to the development of solvent-free formulations that can be cured. We had synthesized the polyurethane resin having the ability to protect stainless steel against corrosion. Compared with general packing materials and coatings, this resin is highly stronger in intensity and longer durability. Polyurethane resins were composed of polyols, IPDI, silicone surfactant, catalyst and crosslink agent. Moreover, thermal fillers such as $Al_2O_3$, fume silica and $ZrO_2$ not only accelerated the curing rate but also improved the physical property as thermal barriers. The rigid segments of polyurethane in mechanical properties were due to crosslink agent and the increase of [NCO/OH]. In conclusion, the polyurethane microstructure with crosslink agent can be good material for themoset coating of metal substrates such as stainless steel.

  • The purpose of this paper is, based on the theoretical background of the principle of gas purification and absorption, and the absorbing ability of metals, to syudy the efficiency of gas purification of inorganic gases using Zr alloys, so as to contribute to the IT industry. To produce and distribute gas with high purity and ultra-high purity, different types of gas purifier are currently being used: distillation type, getter type, catalyst type, absorption at low-temperature type, and membrane separation equipment. From the different purification methods mentioned above, the getter type gas purifier is capable of not only high performance and capacity but also P.O.U(Point Of Use) method. The key of the getter type gas purifier is its efficiency of gas purification, which is the subject chosen for this study.

Deformation Characteristics of Zircaloy-4 Fuel Cladding due to Oxidation in Environment of High Temperature and Steam (고온, 수증기 속에서 산화된 질칼로이-4 핵연료 피복관의 변형 특성에 관한 연구)

  • Studies were conducted to determine the extent of oxidation and same of the mechanical property changes of Zircaloy-4 fuel cladding after it was exposed to hot steam environment. The purpose of these tests was to provide some informations on the embrittlement behavior of CANDU type fuel cladding, which could be experienced under the loss-of-coolant accident conditions. The Zircaloy fuel cladding tubes were exposed in a steam environment at the temperature of 90$0^{\circ}C$, 1,00$0^{\circ}C$. The growth of the ZrO$_2$ layer combined with an oxygen rich $\alpha$-phase layer into the Zircaloy tube material was found as a function of time t and temperature of steam exposure, E=1.1√Dt+0.002 where D is a temperature dependent diffusion coefficient. The tensile strength of the specimens exposed for a short period increased but decreased continuously with further exposure. The circumferential elongation was drastically changed with the exposure time while the hoop strength did't decrease greatly. The X-ray measurement of preferred orientation of the Zircaloy tube material indicated that grains in the as received tube were oriented such that the poles of the basal (0001) planes were predominantly radial, while the poles of the basal plane in the tube materials heattreated at 1,00$0^{\circ}C$ were oriented tangentially. It appears that this reoriented texture may contribute to lessening the decrease of the hoop strength of the heat treated Zircaloy tube material.

Improvement of the Characteristics of PZT Thin Films deposited on LTCC Substrates (LTCC 기판상에 증착한 PZT 박막의 특성 향상에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, the optimized growing conditions of PZT thin films on low temperature co-fired ceramics (LTCC) substrates are studied. The LTCC technology is an emerging one in the fields of mesoscale (from 10 um to several hundred um) sensor and actuator against silicon based technology due to low cost, high yield, easy manufacturing of 3 dimensional structure, etc. The LTCC substrates with thickness of 400 um are fabricated by laminating 100 um green sheets using commercial power (NEG, MLS 22C). The Pt/Ti bottom electrodes are deposited on the LTCC substrates, then the growing conditions of PZT thin films using rf magnetron sputtering method are studied. The growing conditions are tested under various rf power and gas ratio of oxygen to argon. And the crystallization and ingredient of PZT films are analyzed by X-ray diffraction method (XRD) and energy dispersive spectroscopy (EDS). The optimized growing conditions of PZT thin films are rf power of 125W, Ar/O2 gas ratio of 15:5.

Effect of High Energy Ball Milling on Sintering Behavior and Thermal Conductivity of Direct Nitrided AlN Powder (직접질화법 AlN 분말의 소결거동 및 열전도도에 미치는 고에너지 볼밀링 효과)

  • In this study, a high energy ball milling process was introduced in order to improve the densification of direct nitrided AlN powder. The sintering behavior and thermal conductivity of the AlN milled powder was investigated. The mixture of AlN powder and 5 wt% $Y_2O_3$ as a sintering additive was pulverized and dispersed by a bead mill with very small $ZrO_2$ bead media. The milled powders were sintered at $1700^{\circ}C-1800^{\circ}C$ for 4 h under $N_2$ atmosphere. The results showed that the sintered density was enhanced with increasing milling time due to the particle refinement as well as the increase in oxygen contents. Appropriate milling time was effective for the improvement of thermal conductivity, but the extensive millied powder formed more fractions of secondary phase during sintering, resulted in the decrease in thermal conductivity. The AlN powder milled for 10min after sintering at $1800^{\circ}C$ revealed the highest thermal conductivity, of 164W/$m{\cdot}K$ in tne densified AlN sintered at $1800^{\circ}C$.

  • 자연적으로 발생되는 파도, 비, 우박 등과 철도, 차량 및 엘리베이터 등과 같은 인위적인 설치, 이동에 의해 발생되는 진동에너지는 우리 일상생활에서 가장 흔하게 발생할 수 있는 에너지원인데, 이러한 진동에너지는 압전 소재를 이용하여 재생 가능하여 최근에는 이에 대한 연구가 활발히 진행되어 왔다. 예를 들면, 미국의 MIT에서는 인간이 걸을 때 신발에 가해지는 압력을 이용하여 전력을 발생시키는 연구를 진행하여 2.9 mW의 전력을 얻었다. 특히 이러한 기술은 인간의 걷기 운동 등과 같은 일상적인 동작으로 필요한 전력을 얻을 수 있고, 세라믹 소자를 이용하기 때문에 전자노이즈가 발생되지 않을 뿐 아니라 반영구적으로 사용할 수가 있어서, 소형 전자기기 등에 서 기존 이차전지를 대체 또는 보완 할 수 있는 기술로 검토되고 있다. PZT계 세라믹스는 높은 유전상수와 우수한 압전특성으로 이러한 압전발전 분야에서 가장 널리 사용되어지고 있다. 하지만 에너지 효율을 높이기 위하여 적층 구조의 제작 시 구조적 특성상 내부전극이 도포된 상태에서 동시 소결이 필요한데, $1000^{\circ}C$ 이상의 높은 소결온도 때문에 소재 원가가 낮은 Ag전극 대신 값비싼 Pd나 pt가 다량 함유된 Ag/Pd, Ag/Pt 전극이 사용되고 있어 경제성이 떨어지는 단점을 갖게 된다. 순수 Ag 전극을 사용하거나 Ag의 비율이 높은 내부전극을 사용하기 위해서는 $900^{\circ}C$ 이하에서 소결되고 우수한 전기적 특성을 보이는 압전 세라믹스 소재를 개발 하는 것이 필요하다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 압전특성이 우수한 $(Pb_{1-x}Cd_x)(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})_{0.25}(Zr_{0.35}/Ti_{0.4})O_3$ 계의 조성을 설계하고, 소결온도를 낮추기 위해서 2 단계 하소법을 이용하였다. 또한 $MnCO_3$, $SiO_2$, $Pb_3O_4$ 등을 소랑 첨가하여 액상 소걸 특성을 부여하여 소결 온도를 감소시키려는 시도도 하였다. 소결체의 전체적인 제조 공정은 일반적인 벌크 세라믹의 소걸 공정을 따랐다. 최종 소결된 시편을 XRD분석을 통하여 상을 확인하였고 SEM을 이용하여 미세조직을 관찰 하였다. 전기적 특성을 평가하기 위하여 두께를 1mm로 연마한 시편에 Ag 전극을 도포하여 $650^{\circ}C$ 에서 열처리한 후, 분극처리 하였다. Impedance analyzer를 이용하여 압전 특성 (전기기계결합계수 및 기계적품질계수)을 측정 하였고, 압전전하상수는 $d_{33}$-meter로 측정하였다. 본 연구에서는 압전체에 가해지는 하중의 크기, 시편의 크기, 하중을 가하는 방법, 에너지 저장회로의 최적화 등을 다양하게 시도하면서 에너지 변환 및 저장 효율을 평가하였다.

DPSS UV laser projection ablation of 10μm-wide patterns in a buildup film using a dielectric mask (Dielectric 마스크 적용 UV 레이저 프로젝션 가공을 이용한 빌드업 필름 내 선폭 10μm급 패턴 가공 연구)

  • To engrave high-density circuit-line patterns in IC substrates, we applied a projection ablation technique in which a dielectric ($ZrO_2/SiO_2$) mask, a DPSS UV laser instead of an excimer laser, a refractive beam shaping optics and a galvo scanner are used. The line/space dimension of line patterns of the dielectric mask is $10{\mu}m/10{\mu}m$. Using a ${\pi}$ -shaper and a square aperture, the Gaussian beam from the laser is shaped into a square flap-top beam; and a telecentric f-${\theta}$ lens focuses it to a $115{\mu}m{\times}105{\mu}m$ flat-top beam on the mask. The galvo scanner before the f-${\theta}$ lens moves the beam across the scan area of $40mm{\times}40mm$. An 1:1 projection lens was used. Experiments showed that the widths of the engraved patterns in a buildup film ranges from $8.1{\mu}m$ to $10.2{\mu}m$ and the depths from $8.8{\mu}m$ to $11.7{\mu}m$. Results indicates that it is required to increase the projection ratio to enhance profiles of the engraved patterns.

The Effects of PZT Ratio and Sr Doping on the Piezoelectric Properties in PZN-PNN-PZT (PZN-PNN-PZT계 압전 조성에서 PZN 함량과 Sr Doping이 압전 특성에 미치는 영향)

  • In a Pb-included piezoelectric composition, $Sr_yPb_{1-y}[(Zn_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})_x-(Ni_{1/3}Nb_{2/3})_{0.2}-(Zr_{0.46}Ti_{0.54})_{0.8-x}]O_3$ was selected in order to attain high piezoelectric properties. According to the PZN ratio (x) and the amount of Sr doping (y), the crystal structure, microstructure and piezoelectric properties were measured and evaluated. In the case of Sr 4 mol% doping, the piezoelectric properties were the highest for a PZN ratio of 0.1. In this condition, the grain size was larger and the intensity was higher. With the PZN ratio fixed and varying the Sr doping, the piezoelectric properties increased until 10 mol% doping and then decreased for over 12 mol% doping. In the case of x=0.1 and y=10 mol%, the best piezoelectric properties were obtained, i.e., $d_{33}=660pC/N$ and $k_p=68.5%$, and these values seem to be related to the grain size and crystal structure.

  • 직접 알콜 연료전지는 액체인 알콜을 직접 연료전지에 공급하여 연소시킴으로써 높은 효율을 갖는 휴대용전원으로 주목받는 장치이다. 직접 알콜 연료전지에 담지체로 사용되는 탄소 소재는 넓은 표면적과 우수한 전기전도도를 가지고 있다는 장점 있으나 금속 촉매와의 상호작용이 약하여 촉매 활성에 영향을 주지 못한다. 산화물을 담지체로 사용할 경우 이러한 금속-담지체 간의 상호작용으로 인한 촉매활성 증가 및 입자성장 억제의 효과를 기대할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는, 안티몬 도핑된 주석산화물 (Sb-doped SnO2 : ATO nanoparticle)을 직접 메탄올 연료전지용 담지체어 적용하였으며 합성 과정은 다음과 같다. SnC14 5H2O SbC13, NaOH, HCl 수용액 혼합물을 삼구 플라스크에 넣고 $100^{\circ}C$ 온도에서 환류(reflux) 시킨 후 세척 및 건조하여 Air 분위기에서 열처리하였다. 합성된 산화물 수용액에 폴리올 방법으로 합성된 백금 콜로이드를 담지하였으며, 세척과 건조를 통하여 산화물에 담지된 백금 촉매를 촉매를 합성하였다. 촉매의 구조분석을 위해 XRD, TEM을 사용하였으며, 전극촉매로서의 활성을 평가하기 위해 cyclic voltammetry을 평가하였다. 본 연구에서는 백금의 담지량에 따른 Costripping voltammetry특성과 메탄올 및 에탄올 산화 반응 특성에 대하여, 탄소를 담지체로 사용한 Pt/C 촉매와 비교 평가하였다. 알콜 산화반응 평가결과, 주석산화물에 담지한 촉매가 탄소를 담지체로 사용한 촉매보다 우수한 활성을 나타내었으며 활성증가는 메탄올에 비해 에탄올 산화 반응의 경우 크게 증가하였다. 막과 비교해 보았다. $ZrO_2$ 입자는 전도성이며 동시에 친수성을 나타내기 때문에 상용 막에 비하여 함수율 및 수소이온 전도도가 우수하게 나타났다. 복합막의 이러한 물성은 $100^{\circ}C$이상의 고온에서 전해질 막 내의 물 관리를 용이하게 한다. 단위 전지 운전 온도 $130^{\circ}C$, 상대습도 37%의 운전 조건에서도 상당히 우수한 전지 성능을 보임에 따라 고온/저가습 조건에서 상용 Nafion 112 막보다 우수한 막 특성을 나타냄을 확인하였다.소/배후방사능비는 각각 $2.18{\pm}0.03,\;2.56{\pm}0.11,\;3.08{\pm}0.18,\;3.77{\pm}0.17,\;4.70{\pm}0.45$ 그리고 $5.59{\pm}0.40$이었고, $^{67}Ga$-citrate의 경우 2시간, 24시간, 48시간에 $3.06{\pm}0.84,\;4.12{\pm}0.54\;4.55{\pm}0.74 $이었다. 결론 : Transferrin에 $^{99m}Tc$을 이용한 방사성표지가 성공적으로 이루어졌고, $^{99m}Tc$-transferrin의 표지효율은 8시간까지 95% 이상의 안정된 방사성표지효율을 보였다. $^{99m}Tc$-transferrin을 이용한 감염영상을 성공적으로 얻을 수 있었으며, $^{67}Ga$-citrate 영상과 비교하여 더 빠른 시간 안에 우수한 영상을 얻을 수 있었다. 그러므로 $^{99m}Tc$<
