원자층 증착법에 의한 TiO2, Al2O3, 및 TiO2-Al2O3 나노라미네이트 박막이 316L Stainless Steel의 부식특성에 미치는 영향 (Corrosion Properties of Atomic Layer Deposited TiO2, Al2O3 and TiO2-Al2O3 Nanolaminated Film Coated 316L Stainless Steel)

  • $TiO_2$, $Al_2O_3$, and $TiO_2-Al_2O_3$ nanolaminated films were grown by atomic layer deposition (ALD) on the 316L stainless steel (SS316L) substrates at a temperature of $150^{\circ}C$. The growth kinetics of $ALD-TiO_2$ and $Al_2O_3$ thin films were systematically investigated in order to precisely control the thickness of each layers in the $TiO_2-Al_2O_3$ nanolaminated films using a high-resolution transmission electron microscopy. And, the exact deposition rates of $ALD-TiO_2$ on $Al_2O_3$ surface and $ALD-Al_2O_3$ on $TiO_2$ surface were revealed to be 0.0284 nm/cycle and 0.11 nm/cycle, respectively. At given growth conditions, the microstructures of $TiO_2$, $Al_2O_3$ and $TiO_2-Al_2O_3$ nanolaminated films were amorphous. The potentiodynamic polarization test revealed that the $TiO_2-Al_2O_3$ nanolaminated film coated SS316L had a best corrosion resistance, although all ALDcoated SS316L exhibited a clear improvement of the corrosion resistance compared with a bare SS316L.

  • STS316L은 인성, 연성, 부식저항성 등 우수한 기계적 성질 때문에 에너지환경설비 등 구조물에 널리 이용되고 있다. 그러나, 용접구조물은 가혹한 환경하에서 경년열화가 심각하다. 지금까지의 연구들은 주로 용접부의 피로균열진전거동에 관하여 수행되었고, 피로균열진전속도식의 재료상수와 비파괴적 평가의 상관성에 관한 연구는 거의 없었다. 본 연구는 SIS316L 용접부의 피로균열진전 거동을 조사하고, 초음파 파라미터로 열화특성을 평가하고 시간-주파수 분석으로 해석을 하였다. 본 연구 결과는 용접구조물의 사용기간 중 피로수명 등을 예측하기 위한 기초 데이터로서 사용될 수 있다.

  • 316L and 420 Stainless steels were deposited onto AZ9ID commercial magnesium alloy by plasma spray process with various gas flow rate of, TEX>$H_2$ secondary gas. And hardness as well as were track volume, coefficient of friction also had been measured. wear and hardness were measured by using reciprocal configuration tribometer and microghardness tester, respectively. Also, the microstructure of the coatings surface the cross sectional area of coating surface and cross sectional area of coaing/Substrate interface had been analyzed with Scanning Electron Microscope(SEM) and Optical microscope(OM). Finally, optimal process parameters for the improvement of coating efficiency such as mechanical property and wear behavior were examined.

초내식성 스테인레스강의 금속이온용출특성 및 세포적합성 (Metal Ion Release Behaviour and Cytotoxicity of a Super Stainless Steel)

  • The toxic metal ion release behaviour and the cytotoxicity of a super stainless steel (S.S.S, 22cr-20Ni -6Mo-0.25N) were investigated The measurement of the amount of static and wear- induced trace metal ion released from the steels was conducted in Hank's balanced salt solution using an electrothermal atomic absdrption spectrometry equiped with Uaphite furnace. And the in vitro cytotoxicity of the materials was assesed in cell culture. The static dissolution rates of Fe and Cr ions from the S.S.S were significantly lower than those of 316L SS. However, the Ni ion release from the S.S.S during the first 4 weeks was yester than that from 316L 55 by 15-45%. Also, the wear-in- duces dissolution rates from the steels were not correlated either with their elemental composition rates or with the static metal ion release rates. The S.S.S did not deteriorate the osteoblasts viability. And no toxic response was observed from the macrophages cultured for 7 days in RFMI 1640 medium immersed with the S.S.S specimens.

  • 고분자전해질 연료전지용 분리판 소재로 스텐레스 강의 내식성과 전기전도성을 향상시키기 위해 표면을 TiN(titanium nitride) 또는 Ti/TiN(titanium/titanium nitride)으로 코팅하여 연료전지 운전환경에서 표면 코팅층의 물성 변화를 조사하였다. 200시간의 연료전지 운전에서 표면 코팅층의 부식, 균열(crack), 박리, 표면 화학조성 변화 등을 분석하여 코팅된 TiN 또는 Ti/TiN 박막의 역할을 규명하고자 하였다. 스텐레스 강 분리판의 전기전도도와 부식저항성은 소재 표면에 질화층 박막을 코팅함으로써 증가하였으나 연료전지 환경하에서 운전시 코팅된 박막의 부식과 박리현상이 SUS316L-Ti/TiN을 제외하고 현저히 발생하였다. TiN 코팅층과 하부 기재 사이에 Ti 중간층을 도입함으로써 TiN 박막의 밀착성이 향상되고 또한 코팅층의 두께 증가로 부식 위험성이 감소하는 것을 관찰하였다.

알칼리 용액이 수소배관으로 사용되는 Stainless steel에 미치는 영향 분석 (An Analysis on Stainless Steel for Hydrogen Generator' Pipeline Interacting with Alkaline Solution)

  • This study was performed to observe the change of stainless steel pipe interacting with alkaline solution. We used STS316L and STS304 as samples which were soaked in alkaline solution. We measured the samples by use of FE-SEM, EDX, SIMS to observe the surface and depth profile of both samples. The result showed that the precipitate appeared on the surface of both samples from 5 days. but the precipitate was confirmed to be decreased as time passes. but the quantitative change of precipitates at both samples was different as time passed. The EDX showed that the precipitate is Potassium from solution of Electrolysis. The result also showed that the primary elements of stainless steel pipeline and of Alkaline Solution were changed. The change of primary elements was severe between 5 days to 16 days and was stable around 40 days at both samples. The reaction of STS316L with alkaline solution was lower than STS304. We hoped that this study would be the foundation of developing the electrode of the alkaline hydrogen generator.

마이크로 밀링과 자기디버링을 적용한 마이크로 유동채널 가공 (A Study of Micro-Channel Fabrication by Micro-Milling and Magnetic Abrasive Deburring)

  • 본 연구는 마이크로 머시닝을 적용한 유동채널가공에서 버의 발생과 제거에 관한 연구이다. AISI316 스테인리스강의 마이크로 유동채널가공은 마이크로 밀링과 자기 디버링을 결합하여 실시하였다. 먼저 마이크로 밀링으로 유동채널을 가공하였고, 가공조건에 따라 마이크로 채널주변에 미소 버가생성됨을 확인하였다. 미소 버를 제거하기 위해서 자기 디버링을 행하였다. AISI316 스테인리스강은 비자성체로 자기연마에 큰 영향을 미치는 자속밀도가 매우 낮은 금속이다. 본 연구에서는 공작물의 자속밀도를 향상시키기 위해서 자기 테이블을 개발하여 이를 자기연마 디버링에 적용하였고, 주사전자현미경(SEM)과 표면형상기로 자기 디버링에 의한 버의 제거효과를 측정하였다.

  • Densification behavior of 316L stainless steel power under die pressing was studied. The efects of friction between the powder and die wall under different die pressing modes were also investigated. The elastoplastic constitutive equations based on the yield functions of Fleck-Gurson and of Shima and Oyane were implemented into finite element program(ABAQUS) to simulate die compaction processes. The finite element results were compared with experimental data for 316L stainless steel powder under die pressing.

Experiment and Analysis of the Residual Stress for Multipass Weld Pipes by the Neutron Diffraction Method

  • Multipass welds of 316L stainless steel have been widely employed to the pipes of Liquid Metal Reactors. Owing to localized heating and a subsequent rapid cooling by the welding process, residual stress arises in the weld of the pipe. In this study, the residual stresses in the 316L stainless steel pipe welds were calculated by the finite element method using the ANSYS code. Also, the residual stresses both on the surface and in the interior of the thickness were measured by the HRPD(High Resolution Powder Diffractometer) instrumented in the HANARO Reactor. The experimental data and the calculated results were compared and the characteristics of the distribution of the residual stress were discussed.

스테인레스강 저주기 피로 수명 분포의 추계적 모델링

  • In present study, a stochastic model is developed for the low cycle fatigue life prediction and reliability assessment of 316L stainless steel under variable multiaxial loading. In the proposed model, fatigue phenomenon is considered as a Markov process, and damage vector and reliability are defined on every plane. Any low cycle fatigue damage evaluating method can be included in the proposed model. The model enables calculation of statistical reliability and crack initiation direction under variable multiaxial loading, which are generally not available. In present study, a critical plane method proposed by Kandil et al., maximum tensile strain range, and von Mises equivalent strain range are used to calculate fatigue damage. When the critical plane method is chosen, the effect of multiple critical planes is also included in the proposed model. Maximum tensile strain and von Mises strain methods are used for the demonstration of the generality of the proposed model. The material properties and the stochastic model parameters are obtained from uniaxial tests only. The stochastic model made of the parameters obtained from the uniaxial tests is applied to the life prediction and reliability assessment of 316L stainless steel under variable multiaxial loading. The predicted results show good accordance with experimental results.
