The Investigation Image-guided Radiation Therapy of Bladder Cancer Patients (방광암 환자의 영상유도 방사선치료에 관한 고찰)

  • Purpose: In hospital image-guided radiation therapy in patients with bladder cancer to enhance the reproducibility of the appropriate amount, depending on the patient's condition, and image-guided injection of saline system (On-Board Imager system, OBI, VARIAN, USA) three of the Cone-Beam CT dimensional matching (3D-3D matching) to be the treatment. In this study, the treatment of patients with bladder cancer at Cone-Beam CT image obtained through the analysis of the bones based matching and matching based on the bladder to learn about the differences, the bladder's volume change injected saline solution by looking at the bladder for the treatment of patients with a more appropriate image matching is to assess how the discussion. Materials and Methods: At our hospital from January 2009 to April 2010 admitted for radiation therapy patients, 7 patients with bladder cancer using a Folly catheter of residual urine in the bladder after removing the amount determined according to individual patient enough to inject saline CT-Sim was designed after the treatment plan. After that, using OBI before treatment to confirm position with Cone-Beam CT scan was physician in charge of matching was performed in all patients. CBCT images using a total of 45 bones, bladder, based on image matching and image matching based on the difference were analyzed. Results: Bones, one based image matching based on the bladder and re-matching the X axis is the difference between the average $3{\pm}2mm$, Y axis, $1.8{\pm}1.3mm$, Z-axis travel distance is $2.3{\pm}1.7mm$ and the overall $4.8{\pm}2.0mm$, respectively. The volume of the bladder compared to the baseline showed a difference of $4.03{\pm}3.97%$. Conclusion: Anatomical location and nature of the bladder due to internal movement of the bones, even after matching with the image of the bladder occurred in different locations. In addition, the volume of saline-filled bladder showed up the difference between the 4.03 percent, but matched in both images to be included in the planned volumes were able to confirm. Thus, after injection of saline into the bladder base by providing a more accurate image matching will be able to conduct therapy.

Optimization of block-matching and 3D filtering (BM3D) algorithm in brain SPECT imaging using fan beam collimator: Phantom study

  • The purpose of this study is to model and optimize the block-matching and 3D filtering (BM3D) algorithm and to evaluate its applicability in brain single-photon emission computed tomography (SPECT) images using a fan beam collimator. For quantitative evaluation of the noise level, the coefficient of variation (COV) and contrast-to-noise ratio (CNR) were used, and finally, a no-reference-based evaluation parameter was used for optimization of the BM3D algorithm in the brain SPECT images. As a result, optimized results were derived when the sigma values of the BM3D algorithm were 0.15, 0.2, and 0.25 in brain SPECT images acquired for 5, 10, and 15 s, respectively. In addition, when the sigma value of the optimized BM3D algorithm was applied, superior results were obtained compared with conventional filtering methods. In particular, we confirmed that the COV and CNR of the images obtained using the BM3D algorithm were improved by 2.40 and 2.33 times, respectively, compared with the original image. In conclusion, the usefulness of the optimized BM3D algorithm in brain SPECT images using a fan beam collimator has been proven, and based on the results, it is expected that its application in various nuclear medicine examinations will be possible.

  • In this paper, the front end module (FEM) was proposed for 2.4GHz WLAN band by LTCC multilayer application. The FEM was composed of power amplifier IC, switch IC, and LTCC module. LTCC module consists of output matching circuit and lowpass filter as Tx part, bandpass filter as Rx part. Design of output matching circuit for LTCC was used matching parameter from output matching circuit based on lumped circuit on the PCB board. The dielectric constant of LTCC substrate is 9. The substrate was composed of total 26 layers with each 30um thickness. Ag paste was used for the internal pattern as the conductor material. The size of the module is $4.5mm{\times}3.2mm{\times}1.4mm$. The fabricated FEM showed the gain of 21dB, ACPR of less than -31dBc first side lobe and Less than -59dBc second side lobe and the output power of 23Bm at P1dB.

2~6 GHz Wideband GaN HEMT Power Amplifier MMIC Using a Modified All-Pass Filter (수정된 전역통과 필터를 이용한 2~6 GHz 광대역 GaN HEMT 전력증폭기 MMIC)

  • In this paper, a 2~6 GHz wideband GaN power amplifier MMIC is designed and fabricated using a second-order all-pass filter for input impedance matching and an LC parallel resonant circuit for minimizing an output reactance component of the transistor. The second-order all-pass filter used for wideband lossy matching is modified in an asymmetric configuration to compensate the effect of channel resistance of the GaN transistor. The power amplifier MMIC chip that is fabricated using a $0.25{\mu}m$ GaN HEMT foundry process of Win Semiconductors, Corp. is $2.6mm{\times}1.3mm$ and shows a flat linear gain of about 13 dB and input return loss of larger than 10 dB. Under a saturated power mode, it also shows output power of 38.6~39.8 dBm and a power-added efficiency of 31.3~43.4 % in 2 to 6 GHz.

3D Vision Inspection Algorithm using Geometrical Pattern Matching Method (기하학적 패턴 매칭을 이용한 3차원 비전 검사 알고리즘)

  • We suggest a 3D vision inspection algorithm which is based on the external shape feature. Because many electronic parts have the regular shape, if we have the database of pattern and can recognize the object using the database of the object s pattern, we can inspect many types of electronic parts. Our proposed algorithm uses the geometrical pattern matching method and 3D database on the electronic parts. We applied our suggested algorithm fer inspecting several objects including typical IC and capacitor. Through the experiments, we could find that our suggested algorithm is more effective and more robust to the inspection environment(rotation angle, light source, etc.) than conventional 2D inspection methods. We also compared our suggested algorithm with the feature space trajectory method.

  • The distribution of popular videos incurs a large amount of traffic at the base stations (BS) of networks. Device-to-multi-device (D2MD) communication has emerged an efficient radio access technology for offloading BS traffic in recent years. However, traditional studies have focused on synchronous user requests whereas asynchronous user requests are more common. Hence, offloading BS traffic in case of asynchronous user requests while considering their time-varying characteristics and the quality of experience (QoE) of video request users (VRUs) is a pressing problem. This paper uses social stability (SS) and video loading duration (VLD)-tolerant property to group VRUs and seed users (SUs) to offload BS traffic. We define the average amount of data transmission (AADT) to measure the network's capacity for offloading BS traffic. Based on this, we formulate a time-varying bipartite graph matching optimization problem. We decouple the problem into two subproblems which can be solved separately in terms of time and space. Then, we propose the socially aware D2MD user selection (SA-D2MD-S) algorithm based on finite horizon optimal stopping theory, and propose the SA-D2MD user matching (SA-D2MD-M) algorithm to solve the two subproblems. The results of simulations show that our algorithms outperform prevalent algorithms.

A Reconfigurable CMOS Power Amplifier for Multi-standard Applications (다양한 표준에서 사용 가능한 CMOS 전력 증폭기)

  • For successful implementation of multi-standard transmitter, reconfigurable architecture and component design are essential. This paper presents a reconfigurable CMOS power amplifier designed CMOS 0.25 um process. Designed power amplifier can be operated at 0.9, 1.2, 1.75, and 1.85 GHz. Also, it can be used at 2.4 GHz by using bonding wire inductor. The interstage matching network is composed of two inductors and four switches, and operation frequency can be varied by controlling switches. Proposed power amplifier can be used as a power amplifier in low power applications such as ZigBee or Bluetooth application and used as a driver amplifier in high power application such as CDMA application. Designed power amplifier has 18.2 dB gain and 10.3 dBm output power at 0.9 GHz. Also, it represented 10.3 (18.1) dB gain and 5.2 (10) dBm output power at 1.75 (2.4) GHz.

  • In this paper, we propose a CMOS FM RX front-end structure with an automatic tunable input matching network and implement it using a 65nm CMOS technology. The proposed FM RX front-end is designed to change the resonance frequency of the input matching network at the low noise amplifier (LNA) according to the channel frequency selected by a phase-locked loop (PLL) for maintaining almost constant sensitivity level when an embedded antenna type with high frequency selectivity characteristic is used for FM receiver. The simulation results of implemented FM front-end show about 38dB of voltage gain, below 2.5dB of noise figure, and -15.5dBm of input referred intercept point (IIP3) respectively, while drawing only 3.5mA from 1.8V supply voltage including an LO buffer.

  • In this paper, we suggest a 3D vision inspection method which use only one camera. If we have the database of pattern and can recognize the object, and also estimate the rotated shape of the parts, we can inspect the parts using only one image. We used the 3D database and the 2D geometrical pattern matching, and the rotation transition theory about the algorithm. As the results, we could have the capability of the recognition and inspection of the rotated object through the estimation of rotation an81e. We applied our suggested algorithm to the inspection of typical IC and capacitor, and compared our suggested algorithm with the conventional 2D inspection method and the feature space trajectory method.

  • 본 논문에서는 Bipartite 매칭을 이용한 2D/3D 검색 시스템을 제안한다. 2D/3D 검색 시스템에서 3D 물체 사이의 유사도는 각각의 2D 실루엣 이미지들간의 매칭을 통해 얻어진다. 그러나 기존의 매칭 방법은 전체 매칭(Fuii MatchinE) 방법으로 연산량이 많기 때문에 Bipartite 매칭 방법을 사용하여 연산량을 줄이고 검색 속도의 성능을 향상시킨다. 기존의 방법과 제안된 방법의 검색 속도 비교를 통해 Bipartite 매칭을 이용한 2D/3D 검색 시스템의 효율성을 나타낸다.
