A Study on the Risk Assessment of the Underground Space -The Estimation of Smoke Reservoir Screen for Smoke Control in Subway Station Platform (지하공간의 위험성평가에 관한 연구 -지하철 역사내의 연기제어를 위한 제연경계벽의 효용성 평가)

  • The risk of underground space become an important issue of life safety thought the Taeku subway line Accident. It is essential to study of smoke control screen to minimize the damage of human life because of smoke passage and passenger evacuation routes are on the same vertical and dispersion movement. The Fire modeling result shows the effect of fire control screen can save the evacuation time about 2-2.5 times compare to existing the system However, The designs of fire control screen need to be complied with smoke control ventilation system to present optimum design and the position of installation.

  • The curriculum of programming education including algorithm has been recognized as a very important subject to many students majoring in natural sciences and engineering including electronic engineering and computer related departments. This study analyzed usability of the learning system of programming languages using basic algorithms so as for students to easily learn basic algorithm among the entire programming curriculum. The results show that the grade of learning achievement of experimental group using the learning system is 15 points higher than that of non-experimental group and the grade of interest, concentration, effectiveness, understanding, convenience, suitability, and attending a lecture in the next semester are 4 points or more of 5 points criterion.

  • It is very important to ensure usability and inclusion in product design and development. Exclusion Calculation, developed by Simon Keates and P. John Clarkson at Cambridge University's Engineering Design Center, assesses the usability and inclusiveness of the product. In context of inadequate research on effectiveness of Exclusion Calculation, this study carried out the experimental evaluation of electric iron and discussed the effectiveness of the Exclusion Calculation from usefulness, accuracy of its evaluation results and the intuitiveness of the evaluation items. 11 designers used Exclusion Calculation in product evaluation and estimated the intuitiveness of 14 evaluation items in Exclusion Calculation by questionnaire. Then usefulness of the evaluation results was discussed and the accuracy of the evaluation results was analyzed by standard deviation. From the evaluation results, the research found that Exclusion Calculation could help designers identify the usability problems and the generality of usability problems related to the physical characteristics of the products, but it can not find the problems from logical aspect of using. In addition, the ambiguity of the evaluation scale in Exclusion Calculation leads to lower accuracy of the evaluation results. Most of evaluation items in Exclusion Calculation were easy to be identified and judged, while evaluation items related to cognitive abilities are less intuitive.

  • 본 논문은 Threshold Logic Unit(TLU)를 기본 뉴런으로 하여 최소화된 이진신경회로망을 합성하는 방법인 MSP Term Grouping(MTG) 알고리즘의 time complexity를 분석하고자 한다. 이를 전체 패턴 탐색을 통한 이진신경회로망 합성의 경우와 비교하여 MTG 알고리즘의 효용성을 보여준다.

  • 무선인터넷을 지원하는 WAP 게이트웨이는 프로토콜 변환과 함께 WML 파일을 바이너리 포맷으로 변환하여 무선 환경에 적합하게 한다. 인코딩에서의 공백제거와 태그변환에 따른 효과는 WML 파일의 크기와 특성에 따라 달라진다. 본 논문에서는 게이트웨이에서의 인코딩에 따른 파일크기 감소 효과를 분석하고 압축의 효용성에 대해 기술한다.

  • 임계값을 이용한 영상 분할은 대표적인 영상 분할 기법으로 Otsu의 임계값 결정법, Fuzzy 엔트로피를 이용한 H&W의 기법 및 Clustering을 이용한 Kwon의 기법 등 많은 방법이 있다. 대부분의 임계값 결정 기법은 영상에서 얻어진 빈도수 히스토그램의 분석을 통해서 임계값을 결정한다. 특히 Otsu의 임계값 결정 기법은 빈도수 히스토그램의 분산을 최대화하는 방법으로 임계값을 결정하는 빈도수 히스토그램에 기반한 대표적 기법이다. 하지만 영상 기술이 발전함에 따라서 하나의 임계값으로부터 영상을 이진화 하는 기법은 효용성이 떨어지고 있다. 따라서 다중의 임계값을 결정하는 효과적인 방법이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 그레이 레벨간의 관계성을 파악하고 이러한 관계성으로부터 다중의 임계값을 결정하는 기법을 제안한다. 제안된 기법의 효용성은 모의실험에서 다중 임계값을 사용한 분할영상을 통해서 보인다.

  • This paper describes the utility of satellite sensors of the missile defense system using the estimation theory. The inherent flight characteristics of the missiles give the limitations in the response time and the countermeasures. In this point, the early warning and surveillance satellites are important. Using the Extended Kalman Filter, it is analysed LPU and MLU in DSP and SBIRS satellites, and presented the quantitative uncertainties of state estimates of non-rotational DSP compare to the rotating one.

  • 본 연구에서는 유중 가스 분석법으로 전력용 변압기의 고장 진단을 위한 전문가 시스템을 개발하였다. 유중 가스 분석법을 적용할 때 나타나는 가스 구성비 및 주요 가스 판정 기준, 고장 진단 규칙의 불확실성은 퍼지 집합 및 퍼지 척도를 이용하여 처리하였다. 또한 변압기의 고장 진단 결과는 사고 및 정상을 나타내는 정량화된 지수로 표현하였다. 제안된 고장 진단 전문가 시스템은 한국 전력 공사의 변압기 유중 가스 기록으로 효용성을 입증하였다.

  • Great Books of the Western World(GBWW) is a series of books published in 1952 by Encyclopaedia Britannica to present the famous works in 54 volumes. The series is now in its second edition and contains 60 volumes. A syntopicon compiled by M. Adler is a two-volume index, published as volumes 2 and 3 of GBWW. The syntopicon was coined specifically for this undertaking, which means a collection of topics. Syntopicon lists, under each idea, is where every occurrence of the concept can be located in the collection's famous works. This study aims to analyze the structure and utility of topic index, syntopicon in GBWW. The syntopicon consists of 102 chapters on the 102 ideas. Each chapter is broken down into five distinct sections: the introduction, an outline of topics, references, cross-references, and additional readings. The syntopicon can serve as a reference book, as a selection tool of book to be read, instrument of liberal education, instrument of discovery and research, syntopical reading of other reading material, development tool of convergent education, and analysis tool of works.
