  • Recently, novel viral infections such as COVID-19 have spread and pose a serious public health problem. In particular, these diseases have a fatal effect on the elderly, threatening life and causing serious social and economic losses. Accordingly, applications such as telemedicine, healthcare, and disease prevention using the Internet of Things (IoT) and artificial intelligence (AI) have been introduced in many industries to improve disease detection, monitoring, and quarantine performance. However, since existing technologies are not applied quickly and comprehensively to the sudden emergence of infectious diseases, they have not been able to prevent large-scale infection and the nationwide spread of infectious diseases in society. Therefore, in this paper, we try to predict the spread of infection by collecting various infection information with regional limitations through a virus disease information collector and performing AI analysis and severity matching through an AI broker. Finally, through the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, danger alerts are issued to the elderly, messages are sent to block the spread, and information on evacuation from infected areas is quickly provided. A realistic elderly support system compares the location information of the elderly with the information of the infected area and provides an intuitive danger area (infected area) avoidance function with an augmented reality-based smartphone application. When the elderly visit an infected area is confirmed, quarantine management services are provided automatically. In the future, the proposed system can be used as a method of preventing a crushing accident due to sudden crowd concentration in advance by identifying the location-based user density.

  • In this study, the damage impact range in the case of a hydrofluoric acid leak accident was predicted using formula calculation, impact assessment simulations, and CFD simulations, and the results were compared and analyzed with the actual environmental impact report. Formula calculation was performed by using the leak source model and diffusion model. Impact assessment simulation was performed by KORA provided by the Korean Ministry of Environment, ALOHA by the United States Ministry of Environment, and PHAST, which is relatively widely used among commercialization programs, and the STAD-CMM+program for CFD simulation. Was utilized. Considering convenience, speed, acceptability, and economics from the user's perspective, ALOHA and KORA were the most appropriate methods for predicting the impact of hydrofluoric acid leakage. In addition, the results of this study will help to reduce unnecessary regulations in the process of government policy development and optimize the investment in the safety field of the company, effectively utilizing the limited resources of the government and the company.

  • For a risk analysis in a chemical process, it is important to reflect correctly the characteristic properties of the target process. In this study, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) was adopted for the advanced risk analysis in a residual hydro desulfurization (RHDS) process by considering operation condition, layout of instruments and facilities, atmospheric condition, and wind direction. Release and explosion simulations for the RHDS by using FEA (Finite Element Analysis) and CFD showed the applicability of 3D scanning methods for estimation of release hole size and release amount.

  • Maker Activity based Design-Thinking 5 Step is a better experience for providing the public with a better approach to design by sympathizing with human needs and exploring the public's potential desires. This paper studied the teaching method by applying the value of the Maker Training that emphasizes the importance of sharing and opening results with others after creating them based on the ideas of the learners using different tools, the basic mind of Design-Thinking with the observation and empathy about human beings and the derivation of user-centric results to the SW coding curriculum. For this purpose, we studied teaching methods by Design-thinking based on sections that require coding in the information classes of the secondary school curriculum. We demonstrated the class to a group of education experts by applying the syllabus of instruction. Then we collected evaluations and opinions of the experts and we modified the syllabus to reflect the collected assessment. Under the Design-thinking 5 step foundation, classes were demonstrated with a group of education experts, opinions collected, and suggestions collected were reflected on the assessment outcome. I think that It is an effective training opportunity to practice a widespread idea that enables infinite thinking and a convergence of thinking that brings out the best decision from a widespread idea.

  • This study is to figure out the activity and disposition of gifted students with face plot in exploratory data analysis at middle school mathematics class. This study has begun on the basis of the doing mathematics at multivariate analysis beyond one variable and two variables. Gifted students were developed the good learning habits theirselves. According to this result, Many gifted students have an interesting experience at data analysis with Face Plot. And they felt the useful methods of creative thinking about graphics with doing mathematics at mathematical tasks. I think that teachers need to learn the visualization methods and to make and to develop the STEAM education tasks connected real life. It should be effective enough to change their attitudes toward teaching and learning at exploratory data analysis.

  • Team-Based Learning can play an important role in gifted education, because that improve decision making, coordination and problem-solving ability through shapely team activity. So, when a program that founded on Team-Based Learning applied to gifted students, investigated the improved effects of creative problem solving ability. Developed programs consisted of total 10 times and were conducted the lesson for 13student (male 3, female 10) of 4, 5th grade gifted students class in S elementary school, Sancheong-gun. The improved effects of creative problem solving ability were selected as the self-checking tool of creative problem-solving ability. Due to a small number of students, nonparametric test has done with the results of before and after, it showed significantly improvements in significance level of 5%. In particular, there was a significant improvement in the field of divergent thinking, critical logical thinking. Therefore, the programs based on Team-Based Learning are effective for enhance creative problem solving ability of gifted students, they will be used widely in the classroom to require creative problem solving ability or the acquisition of knowledge of gifted students.

  • It has been understood that Confucian culture only blocks creative problem solving(CPS). However, it is claimed that Confucian culture exerts positive and negative influence on nurturing CPS. Confucian culture fosters CPS by urging strong motivation for learning, and building rich base of knowledge and skills in general and in specific domains through teaching joy of learning and hardworking fueled by parents' education fever. Confucian culture has negative influence on CPS with emphasis on obedience and conformity. Keju system, as a part of Confucian culture, resulted in excessive private tutoring to prepare for the high-stakes test, delimitation of students' experiences to matters to be tested, and students' weak interest, self-concept, and self-directed learning. Negative influence from Confucian culture on CPS is analyzed and some suggestions are provided for revising educational policies and educational practices in order to maximize the creative problem solving in Confucian countries.

  • The Gaussian plume model is widely used to calculate the concentrations of gaseous radioactive effluents in the atmosphere. This model assumes that the terrain is flat, so that the dispersion coefficients which are the most important parameters in this model must be compensated in complex terrain such as in Korea. In this study the compensation of vertical dispersion coefficient in two dimensional x-z plane has been accomplished by comparing the Gaussian plume model with numerical model. The results show that the concentractions of radioactive effluents over complex terrain are more dilluted than those expected over flat terrain.

  • The present study investigation the effect of a project approach program on children's cognitive styles. It examined closely the characteristics and processes of the project approach program to determine its impact on children's individual cognitive styles such as divergent thinking, field independence, and reflection. The subjects were 384-year-old children. Eighteen children were assigned to the experimental group and twenty to the control group. Pretest-treatment-posttest design was adopted for this study. Collected data were analyzed with SPSS Win 10.0 and processed statistically using average, standard deviation, and ANCOVA. For the children's divergent thinking, the children with the project approach program showed significant difference in fluency and flexibility, but no difference in originality and elaboration, compared to the children in the control group. Children with the project approach program showed more field independence than those in the control group. Children with the project approach program showed no difference in reflection. These results showed that the project approach pro!3ram partly influenced the children's cognitive styles.
