화장행동과 헤어칼라 및 자의식이 사회$\cdot$심리적 기대효과에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Make-up Behaviors, Hair Color and Self-Consciousness on the Level of Expected Social-Psychological Effect)

  • From a social psychological perspective, Make-up is an tool for run a lot smoother and perform communication efficiently. Many people give a turn to hair color through dyeing form due to yearning to change individual image through the image which the color is having. This paper study how make-up behavior, hair color and self-consciousness will affect the Level of Expected social-psychological effect of College Girl Students. In the sense of make-up behavior, according to result, a group of make-up behavior of self-satisfaction-oriented the level of expected social-psychological effect higher than a group of make-up behavior of tradition-oriented. Hair colors doesn't seem to be having much effect on the level of expected social- psychological effect, but have been shown to influence make-up behavior and self-consciousness. On the self-consciousness, a group of high self-consciousness the level of expected social-psychological effect higher than a group of low or fair self-consciousness. They doesn't have much effect passive expected effect as 'complement of self insufficiency' or 'a person consciousness' But they are affect active expected effect as 'the pleasure of change' and 'positive ascent'.

여고생의 패스트패션 태도 유형에 따른 자의식과 화장행동 (Self-consciousness, and Make-up Behavior according to Attitude toward Fast Fashion Typology of High School Girls)

  • The purpose of this study is to classify the attitudes toward fast fashion into groups and analyze the differences of the self-consciousness, and make-up behavior by groups. Questionnaires are being administered from 179 high school girls living in Deagu metropolitan City. Frequency, factor analysis, reliability analysis, cluster analysis, ANOVA, Duncant-test, and ${\chi}^2$-test are all used for data analysis. Our findings are as follows. The attitude toward fast fashion shows a significant correlation with the sub-variable self-consciousness and make-up behavior. Attitude toward fast fashion is being categorized into convenience focus, fashion focus, design focus, and season focus. Self-consciousness is social self-consciousness, social anxiety, private self-consciousness, and private anxiety. Make-up behavior is positive effect, fashion leader, and conformity. Attitude toward fast fashion is classified into three groups: disposability, fashionability, and low interest of fashion. The groups show a significant difference in the self-consciousness, and make-up behavior. Groups display no distinctions between the sub-variables in the actual conditions of cosmetics such as a first time for make-up and frequence of visit.

  • This objective study were to classify the contents of makeup behavior, to investigate the relationship between makeup behavior and sex role identity, and to examine how the makeup behavior, makeup satisfaction was influenced by sex role identity and demographics. To achieve this, the researchers surveyed 162 women for the ages of 18 through 25. The result of this study are followed. 1) Four factor of makeup behavior were sexual attractiveness, aesthetic, psychological dependence and makeup interest. 2) There were significant positive relationship between makeup behavior and sex role identity. 3) Sexual attractiveness were influenced by femininity, income. The explanatory power of the 2 variables were 8.5%. Aesthetic were influenced by masculinity. The explanatory power of the 1 variable was 9.2%. Psychological dependence were influenced by femininity. The explanatory power of the 1 variable was 8.2%. Makeup interest were influenced by masculinity, age. The explanatory power of the 2 variables were 9.0%. 4 Makeup satisfaction were influenced by sexual attractiveness, aesthetic. The explanatory power of the 2 variables were 22.1%.

  • The purpose of this study was to classify pursuit of clothing benefits and analyze the relationship between pursuit of clothing benefits, lifestyle, fast fashion attitude, and cosmetics behavior of college students. Questionnaires were administered to 338 college students living in Deagu and Busan province. Data were analyzed by using frequency, factor analysis, cluster analysis, correlation analysis, $X^2$-test, ANOVA, and Scheffe-test. The findings are as follows. Pursuit of Clothing benefits typologies of college students were classified into three groups such as self-expression, pursuit of economic, and pursuit of social oriented body. In the relationship of the pursuit of clothing benefits was related to the sub-variables of lifestyle, fast fashion, and cosmetics behavior. Pursuit of Clothing benefits groups showed different the sub-variables of lifestyle, fast fashion attitude, and cosmetics behavior factors. Pursuit of Clothing benefits groups showed connected with college students and ages.

신체 만족도와 화장 태도에 따른 성인 여성의 매슬로우 욕구와 화장 행동에 관한 연구 (A Study of Maslow Need and Make-up Behavior of Women by Body Cathexis and Make-up Attitude)

  • The women selected by random sampling were classified into four groups by their body cathexis and Make-up attitude in order to investigate differences in Maslow Need and Make-up behavior. Cluster was classified into four groups: positive congruity(G1), positive incongruity(G2), negative congruity(G3), negative incongruity(G4). The result are as follows: Four groups showed meaningful difference each other between the peculiarity of need. That is, this thesis examined the strength of seven needs and found out that G1 group had the strongest needs in seven ones, comparing with four groups. Next, this thesis found out that G2 had the strongest ones in belonging need, self-respect need, and aesthetic need, and that G4 had the strongest ones in physiology need, self-realization need, and recognition need. So it showed somewhat a little difference among groups. G1>G2>G3>G4, in order, emphasized fashion, alignment, ostentation, and tool in Make-up behaviors, and customs, and G1>G2>G4>G3, in order, emphasized respective peculiarity.

성인여성의 인구통계적 변인과 심리적 특성이 화장행동에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Demographic Characteristics and Psychological Characteristic on Make-up Behavior of Women)

  • This study intends to examine the influencing factors in personal intention and show-off of make-up behavior. For the study, a questionnaire survey was conducted of 436 women in between their twenties to fifties residing in the Kyeongnam region. Obtained data were analyzed pearson's correlation coefficient and multiple regression analysis. The result is summarized as follows.; The influence on personal intention and show-off of make-up behavior can be described into 4 factors that are included in the decision making process of personal intention and show-off, in other words, the demographical characteristic, the body cathexis, the need and the clothing value. The demographic characteristics, the marriage status, the occupation status and the media contact had a direct influence on personal intention, and the educational background had a direct influence on show-off. The body cathexis did not have a direct influence on any subordinate factors of personal intention and show-off, but had indirect influence having the need as a parameter or had no influence having the clothing value as a parameter.

  • Research on cosmetic behavior has developed significantly since the 2000s. Reviewing cosmetic behavior research can be meaningful because it can grasp trends in the domestic cosmetics market, and it can also illuminate how domestic consumers' interest in makeup has changed over time. The purpose of this study is to investigate the links between major keywords and the keywords which affect makeup behavior of different age groups through network analysis. In this study we analyzed thesis and journal data based on makeup behavior through network analysis using Nodexl. We analyzed 10 years of journals and theses - from 2000 to 2017, and investigated age-related differences in variables related to makeup behavior. Research subjects were divided into age-based groups: 10, 20-40, and over 50. The total number of theses collected was 82. In order to perform network analysis using the Nodexl program, we extracted the frequency of representative words using the KrKwic program. The extracted core words were analyzed for degree centrality, betweenness centrality and eigenvector centrality using Nodexl. The expected result is that the network analysis using keywords will lead to different variables depending on age and the main goal of the cosmetics market, and it is expected to be used as the basis for follow-up research related to cosmetic behavior.

노년여성의 화장행동, 심리적 특성과 영정사진 화장이미지 선호의 관계연구 (A Study on the Relationship between Makeup Behavior, Psychological Traits and Preference for the Makeup Images of Funeral portrait in Elderly Women)

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the influence of elderly women's makeup behavior, psychological traits and demographic variables on their preference for makeup images in daily life(hereinafter called general makeup image) and for the makeup images of their own future funeral portraits. As for the method of research, a research study was implemented by using the questionnaire method. Seven factors were selected for makeup behavior: fashionability, conformity, subjectivity, instrumentality, interpersonal orientation and conspicuousness. The selected psychological traits were personality, death attitude and depression. Preference for general makeup image and for the makeup image of funeral portrait were investigated in terms of four: agreeableness, refinement, individuality and dignity. The subjects in this study were 651 female elderly residents in and around Seoul who were in their 60s to 80s. Concerning data analysis, factor analysis, Cronbach alpha coefficient, Pearson productmoment correlation coefficient, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Duncan's multiple range test and multiple regression analysis were utilized. Concerning the influence of the elderly women's makeup behavior, personality, death attitude, depression and demographic variables on preference for the makeup image of funeral portrait, their preference for an agreeable makeup image was analyzed. Thus, makeup behavior, personality, death attitude and depression were identified as the variables to exert a significant influence on preference for the makeup images of funeral portrait. The findings of the study are expected to help make makeup for funeral portrait entrenched as a part of the beauty industry and to make a contribution to the development of the beauty industry.

계획된 행동이론(TPB)을 적용한 외모관리행동에 대한 연구 - 피부, 화장, 의복, 헤어, 체중관리 행동을 중심으로 - (Study on the Theory of Planned Behavior applied to appearance management behavior: focused on skin care, makeup, apparel, hair and weight management behaviors)

  • The purpose of this study was to explore how the Theory of Planned Behavior applies to five appearance management behaviors and the effects of three variables - attitude, subjective norm, and perceived behavior control on appearance management behaviors. The research was conducted by surveying 410 female adult respondents between the ages of 20 to 40 with the goal of predicting the appearance management behavior of women. The data were analyzed using IBM SPSS Statistics 19.0 and Amos 19 in addition to Frequency analysis and path analysis. In the first case, the potential for applying appearance management theory on appearance management behavior of women was observed. The appearance management behavior performed by women was classified into five categories: skin care behavior, makeup management behavior, apparel management behavior, hair care behavior, and weight management behavior. It was determined all five behaviors could be predicted by applying the Theory of Planned Behavior. In the second case, effects of attitude related to subjective norm and perceived behavior control related to skin care behavior was statistically significant. In terms of makeup management behavior, all of the three variables were statistically significant. With regard to apparel management behavior, only subjective norm behavior was statistically significant. Concerning hair care behavior, attitude and perceived behavior control were statistically significant. On weight management behavior only attitude was statistically significant.

  • This study was to investigate the undergraduates' values of cosmetic surgery, which is the prevalent social phenomenon in our society, by examining the relations between their cosmetic surgery behavior and appearance concern, body cathexis, and self-esteem. There was weak positive relations between the degree of appearance concern and cosmetic surgery behavior. There were no significant relations between body cathexis and cosmetic surgery behavior and between self-esteem and cosmetic surgery behavior. It was found that cosmetic surgery behavior was obviously different by gender. There were differences in cosmetic surgery behavior according to grades, too.
