A Study of Osteoporosis Prediction using Morphological Measuring of Proximal Femoral Part and Trabecular Characteristics Based on Femoral Radiographic Image (대퇴부 방사선영상에서 대퇴골 근위부의 형태학적 측정과 골소주의 특성을 이용한 골다공증 예측에 관한 연구)

  • This study was designed to examine the morphological measurement and characteristics of trabecullae based on femoral radiographic image for prediction of osteoporosis. Study subjects were 34 females (average age of 62.1 years) and 6 males (average age of 60.1 years), they were categorized into normal group and osteoporosis group in accordance with the T-score value. Measurement of the bone density of femoral bone was measured with DEXA(Dual Energy X-ray absorptiometry). ROI(Region of interests) was selected on femoral neck and trochanter. Characteristics of trabecullae was analyzed by using the skeletonization analysis of trabecular image. Morphological measurement was analyzed through femoral radiographic image in order to examine the correlation with osteoporosis. The result demonstrated statistically significant correlation between neck cortical thickness, shaft width, shaft cortical thickness, periphery, mean gray level and trabeculae area with BMD average (T-score) of femoral part. The results show that morphological measurement and characteristics of trabecullae based on femoral radiographic images for osteoporosis prediction could be effective.

  • 38 strains were isolated in order to utilize lignin degrading ability from soil and compost. A organism having high lignin degrading ability of the isolated strains determined morphologcal and biochemical characteristics. Enrichment technique yielded a lignin degrading bacterium characterized as Pseudomonas sp. LC-2. This strain was able to degrade lignin which are the true representatives of native lignin and transform lignin to a lot of aromatic compounds as HPLC analysis of culture. By polyacrylamide gel analysis, it was determined that peroxidase consisted of three enzymes, with only one, the lignin peroxidase having high activity.

  • Fahion as the form construction of decon-structivistic architecture was analyzed by dividing it into the intrinsic aspect and the formal aspect through an introduction of three characteristic architectural principles into fashion.   • The early Renaissance artist Albrecht $D{\ddot{u}}rer$ is an amateur mathematician. He published a book on geometry. In the second part of that book, $D{\ddot{u}}rer$ gave compass and straight edge constructions for the regular polygons from the triangle to the 16-gon. For mathematics education, I extracted base constructions of polygon constructions. And I also showed how to use $D{\ddot{u}}rer^{\prime}s$ idea in constructing divergent forms with compass and ruler. The contents of this paper can be expected to be the baseline data for mathematics education.

  • In this paper, we propose a new fingerprint sensing method that can reduce orientation error. General fingerprint input methods need finger to be put on the surface of a sensor. It can cause of rotation problem and it affects the recognition result significantly. This improved input method can minimize the rotation of a finger by holding double-sided sensor with both thumb and index finger at the same time. Whenever fingerprint is impressed, it has nearly the same orientation because sensors are located between two fingers. As a result, we can get a better performance in fingerprint recognition system, but it may need more hardware cost.

수캐와 고양이의 번식력에 관한 검사

  • 수의사들은 수캐와 고양이를 구입하기전 수캐의 번식력에 대한 검사를 요청 받을 때가 가끔 있다. 미국의 경우 Kennel club 지침에서는 7개월 보다 어린 개 또는 12세 이상된 개를 종견으로 등록할때는 번식력에 대한 소견서 혹은 증명서를 제출하여야만 한다고 되어있다. 번식력 검사에는 수캐의 완전한 병력을 수집해야하며 병력으로 과거 상처, 질병, 예방접종, 투약상태, 고환이 음낭으로 하강한 상태, 년령, 음낭부종 또는 외상의 발생상태 등이 포함되어야한다. 또한 애완동물의 가계에 대한 번식력에 대해서도 찾아보도록 노력해야 한다. 환축을 검사하기전 병력을 축주에 문의하는 것도 하나의 좋은 방법이다. 건강한 수컷이 암캐와 교미를 하지 못할 경우에는 번식관리의 검사에 세심한 주의를 기우려야 한다. 또한 산자의 최종출생일, 산자수, 교미회수, 번식시킨 암컷의 수, 교미형태, 수컷의 성욕 및 승가행위 등에 과한 것들을 조사해야 할 것이다. 이러한 병력으로 수컷은 항상 불임성을 최초에 불임성을 보였는지 또는 저임성을 보였는지를 알수있게 된다. 새끼를 낳아보지 못한 개와 고양이는 선천적으로 불임이 되고 이러한 수컷도 예후는 불량하다. 개와 고양이가 과거에 새끼를 임신한 경험이 없다면 생식기의 전염성 또는 염증과 관련이 있을 수도 있다. 축주는 개 인공수정을 하기 위하여 정액을 채취할 때 물, 소독약 및 윤활제 등으로 인하여 정자의 사멸을 의식하지 못하고 있기 때문에 채취방법을 상세하게 설명하여 주어야 한다. 또한 암컷의 번식문제에 대해서도 상세하게 검사하여야 하며 개와 고양이가 불임되는 가장 흔한 이유는 번식관리에 문제점이 있으며, 이와 같은 경우에는 암컷을 검사하기 전에 수컷을 검사하는 것이 중요하다. 수컷의 검사는 사진으로도 용이하므로 비용도 절감되나 암컷은 생식기관을 검사하여야 되기 때문에 많은 경비가 든다. 그러나 번식력의 유일한 증거는 태아를 생산하는 것이며 많은 다른 검사 방법으로 평가 할 수도 있으나 번식력을 증명할 수는 없다.

  • A Study on the Plasticity of the Gather Represented in Haute Couture The Gather is the plastic technique to represent a sense of voluminosity by pleating the plane of costume and manifests the emotional effects , such as both functional aspects and the construction of form, optical illusion effect, textural feelings from materials, tactile transformations, etc. So it is used as the tool to represent the plastistic beauty of costume. The plasticity of the ancient gather was the drape arising according to the curve of the body, but the type of gather recently found on the haute couture does not only retain the activity and functionalism on which the technical element and the ornamental aspect are mixed with other techiques.

An Analysis of Issue Shift in German Family Welfare Policy (독일 가족복지정책의 쟁점변화 분석)

  • 독일에서 가족은 전후의 산업화과정 속에서 다면적인 사회변동을 경험하면서 형태적 측면과 내용적 측면에서 다양화와 탈제도화 그리고 개인화의 경향이 강해지는 현상을 보이게 되었다. 이러한 변화과정 속에서 가족은 저출산문제, 보육문제, 역할분담을 둘러싼 갈등, 빈곤과 실업, 노인부양문제 등과 같은 다양한 문제와 직접적으로 당면하게 되었다. 특히 1980년대 후반부터는 통일을 전후로 하여 약 10년간에 걸쳐 저출산문제가 심화되면서 가족문제는 중요한 사회정책이 슈로 부각되기 시작하였다. 이러한 현상은 근대적 가족주의에 기반한 가족의 복지정책의 개선에 대한 사회적 요구를 증대시켰고 그로 인해 독일 가족복지정책은 인구변화로 인해 발생되는 가족의 복지욕구를 수용해야 한다는 과제를 떠안게 되었다. 본 연구는 1950년대 이후부터 현재에 이르기까지 독일에서 시대별로 각 집권정당들은 다양한 가족쟁점들을 어떠한 관점에서 수용하여 정책의제화하고, 이에 대한 대응전략으로써 어떠한 정책방안들을 발전시켜 왔는가 하는 과정적 전개양상을 문헌연구방법을 통해 분석함을 목적으로 하였다. 연구를 통해 획득된 결과는 다음과 같다: 독일의 가족복지정책은 가족쟁점의 변화에 따라 1인 부양자모델의 확립기, 취업모 지원과 가족의 다양성에 대한 정책적 수용기, 보육정책의 확대기로 구분될 수 있으며, 그 과정에서 체계화된 정책 프로그램은 소득지원, 양육 및 교육지원 그리고 노인부양가족지원 프로그램이 핵심을 형성하게 되었다. 이러한 프로그램들의 발전은 정책이 1인 부양자모델에서 2인 부양자모델로 연속적으로 변화되는 양상을 반영하고 있다는 점에서 가족문제의 해결책을 모색 중인 우리나라에도 시사하는 바가 많다.

  • The objective of Distributed Parallel Computing is to solve the computationally intensive problems, which have several types of parallelism, on a suite of high performance and parallel machines in a manner that best utilizes the capabilities of each machine. In this paper, we propose a computational model including the generalized graph representation method of distributed parallel systems for speedup analysis, and analyze how the super-linear speedup is achieved when scheduling of programs with diverse embedded parallelism modes onto a distributed heterogeneous supercomputing network environment. The proposed representation method can also be applied to simple homogeneous or heterogeneous systems whose components are heterogeneous only in terms of the processor speed. In order to obtain the core speedup, the matching of the parallelism characteristics between tasks and parallel machines should be carefully handled while minimizing the communication overhead.

Effect of Dietary Level of $\beta$-Carotene on Antioxidants Contents and Hepatic Morphology in Rats ($\beta$-Carotene 의 수준별 공급에 따른 흰주의 항산화 물질과 간조직의 형태적 변화)

  • This study was designed to investigate the effect of dietary level of $\beta$-carotene on level of antioxidant nutrients of rat tissues. Male Sprague Dawley rats at the age of 30days were fed on diets containing different levels of $\beta$-carotene(0, 10, 120, 1200, 12000mg per kg diet). Body weight gain of rats fed with 12000mg $\beta$-carotene diet was significantly decreased, but liver and heart weights were not significantly different among groups, The content of total glutathione tended to decrease significantly in 12000mg $\beta$-carotene diet group when compared to $\beta$-carotene restriction group(BC O). However, total vitamin C content of liver showed the tendency to increase by $\beta$ -carotene supply up to 1200mg. But this tendency was not found in plasma, The content of zinc in liver and plasma was significantly decreased by $\beta$-carotene restriction. Alkaline phosphatase activity was significantly higher in 12000mg diet group. In case of $\beta$-carotene restriction group, fibroblasts were proliferated in portal endothelium, and the vacuolar size was enlarged more than the nuclear, In 12000mg diet group, hepatic vacuoles were extended, but their size was regular and the lysis of hepatocytes was observed. Also, fibroblasts were proliferated in portal endothelium and the regular vacuolar size was extended.
