The waste rates of 98 food items after pre-preparation were surveyed to provide database for good menu planning. The waste rates turned out 0-64.27% in vegetables, 6.38-7.03% in potatoes, 6.25-68.75% in fishes and shellfishes, 16.61% in eggs, and 16.00-56.84% in fruits. Foods with high waste rates were vegetables, fishes and shellfishes. Survey results were compared with other food composition tables. Foods with 30% higher waste rate than other food composition tables were squash leaf, pacific ocean perch, sweet potato stalk, water cress, green peas, alaska pollack, bluefin tuna, beka squid, crown daisy, dodok, amaranth, beef ribs. Food which waste rates turned out to be decreased by about 30% in this study were corb shell, pomfret, sea mussel, warty sea squirt. For the menu planning, reasonaly exact waste rates for each food items are essential. Since survey results show significant deviations, there should be more studies for exact waste rates for each food.

A new approach is develped to analyze the reliability of the shallow foundation. The measure of the safety of the structhure is expressed In terms of the probability of failure, instead of the conventional factor of safety. Many uncertainties involved in the deterministic stability anaitsis can be reasouably treated by using the probabilistic approach. Both the soil properties and loads are assumed to be random variables. Accordingly, the capacity and demand are considered to be normal, log-normal, and beta variated. Use is made of Error Propagation Method to investigate the probability of failure. And the relationship is investigated between the probability of failure and the central factor of safety. The results are computer programed and several case studies are performed using developed program.

Currently digital TRS is providing the voice-oriented service based on stat-tree topology of 2.5G. As result of that, it has alimitation to accept the wide band multimedia services. Therefore, this paper designed the mesh topology based on packet networkand proposed the algorism of dynamic path establishment based on priority. In korea case, we confirmed that hop numbers priority base is more reasonable than distance priority base. And counted the trunk traffic including redundancy traffic to prevent the bottlenect situation and trouble. Also analysed the bandwidth between network management centers of backbone and access.

The planning process of complex projects in tall building is characterized by the cooperation of many involved specialists and by a high degree of information exchange. In order to improve the quality of the structural design of tall buildings, information of different involved partners in the planning process has to be integrated. This paper aims to introduce a concept of the integrated structural design for the tall building using STEP(Standard for the Exchange of Product Model Data). In this study, the entities of mass, column shortening, and serviceability evaluation for structural design in tall buildings are proposed.

Today people are very interested in an electronic commerce based on web according to the rapid growth of Internet and multimedia technology. Buyers want the special services for themselves as they become more reasonable, wiser and deepening the tendency of personality. But today most electronic commerce only serves the catalog of goods which buyers see and choose shapes and standards of goods. It is needed sale agent using sale clerks' knowledge beyond the level of service only offering the information about goods to satisfY buyers. So in this thesis buyers can buy the goods suiting buyers' taste using ISA(lntelligent Sale Agent), sale clerks in cyber in place of sale clerks in actual shops in real world. The use of this kind of intelligent sale agent makes buyers save the time for searching for goods and do shopping suiting buyers' taste.

Recently, environmental vibration by train operation has been getting such an attention that the ISO puts it into the environmental vibration regulation. However, the reasonable and efficient countermeasures against such a kind of vibration is not well established, especially in residential areas near the railroad. Therefore, it is very important to estimate the ground vibration induced by the train operation for the design and construction of track supporting structures as well as structures near the track. In this study a model estimating dynamic load on track due to train operation and analysis technique of propagation of ground vibration were developed. Futhermore, the estimated vibration from this model was compared with the actual measurement data in the field and found to be reasonably acceptable.

This paper describes a strategy of a daily optimal operational scheduling in cogeneration system for paper mill. The cogeneration system selected to establish the scheduling consists of three units and several auxiliary devices. One unit generates electrical and thermal energy using the back pressure turbine. The rest two units generate the energy using the extraction condensing turbine. Three auxiliary boilers, two waste boilers and three sludge incinerators operate to supply energy to the loads with three units. The cogeneration system is able to supply enough the thermal energy to the thermal load, however it can not sufficiently supply the electrical power to the electrical load. Therefore the insufficient electric energy is compensated by buying electrical energy from utility. When the operational scheduling is performed considering the environmental problem. This paper shows the simulation results for daily operational scheduling obtained using the evolutionary algorithm. This results reveal that the proposed modeling and strategy can be effectively applied to cogeneration system for paper mill.

In this paper, we proposes a method that analyzes the characteristics and patterns of color juxtaposition based on the color wheel used by pointillism painter and an algorithm that generates pointillistic images by applying obtained analysis data. In order to analyze color juxtaposition of pointillism, we extract the stroke colors of real painting and find the most similar probability density functions(PDFs) through applying good-of-fit tests for the probabilistic distribution of stroke colors. By performing the juxtaposition of color based on the found PDFs, we can convert input image to pointillistic image effectively. It can be seen that this study shows reliability in the use of data obtained from actual paintings and that leads to perform a reasonable work.

Corruption in public offices can lead to corruption in overall society. Moreover, it can also result in steady growth of social expense caused by distrust in direct public relations of civil society administration. In order to devise a more comprehensive measure against corruption, it is essential to evaluate internal organization. This study suggests a scheme for improvement on fire officers' inter integrity, researched by in-depth interview. According to the study, there are numerous conventional corporate cultures remaining in the organization which fire officers are mutually trying to create reasonable and democratic corporate cultures. Furthermore, it was found out that structural issues of the organization, such as guaranteed anonymity of corruption prevention system, closed budget, et cetera, are the mostly dissatisfactory factors other than individual matters of the organizational members.
