The Effect of Emotional Expressive Ambivalence on Interpersonal Stress :The Mediating Effect of Social Support and Cognitive Emotion Regulation Strategy (직장인의 정서표현 양가성이 대인관계 스트레스에 미치는 영향:사회적 지지와 인지적 정서조절전략의 매개효과)

  • The purpose of the research was to verify the mediating effect of social support and cognitive emotional regulation strategy when office worker's emotional expressive ambivalence influences on interpersonal stress. A survey was conducted with 422 office workers from August to September of 2018. SPSS, AMOS and Mplus were used for descriptive statistics, correlation analysis, verification of structural equation modeling and mediated effect. There was a partial mediating effect in emotional expressive ambivalence of self-defense model, a complete mediating effect in relational emotional expressive ambivalence model. In both self-defense and relational emotional expressive ambivalence model, double mediation effect of passing through support and cognitive emotional regulation strategy in the relationship between emotional expressive ambivalence and interpersonal stress was significant. This study sought ways to reduce interpersonal stress by increasing the level of perception of social support and using adaptive cognitive emotional control strategies for office workers.

The Mediating Effects of Self-efficacy on the relationship between Job-stress and Depression (지역 의료기관 행정직 직장인의 자기효능감 -직무스트레스와 우울에 미치는 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of the study was to identify the mediating effects of self-efficacy between job-stress and depression in regional hospitals' workers. The data of this study were collected from 700 hospitals' workers who have been working in 306 hospitals in B city. And the data were collected from Feb. to May 2012. To determine the impact of self-efficacy on job-stress and depression for men and women workers in local hospitals, we measure self-efficacy, job-stress and depression of workers and analyze their relationships. There was a negative relationship between self-efficacy and job-stress(r=-.238, p<.001), depression(r=-.626 p<.001). Verifying the mediating effects of self-efficacy to the impact of job stress on depression, the mediating effects of self-efficacy were significant. It suggests that there is a need to relax the negative impact of job stress through the promotion of self-efficacy for individual or team-level organization.

  • This study aims to investigate the effect of core-self evaluation on work-family facilitation(work to family facilitation, family to work facilitation), job satisfaction and turnover intention among non-regular workers in Korean food service industry. In order to examine the hypothesized relationships, frequency analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis and covariance structure analysis were performed using SPSS(10.0) and AMOS(4.0). The results showed that core-self evaluation had a significantly positive effect on both of work to family facilitation and family to work facilitation. In the case of relationship between work-family facilitation and job satisfaction, only family to work facilitation had a positive effect on job satisfaction while there was no evidence of a significant relationship from work to family facilitation to job satisfaction. Additionally, job satisfaction had a significantly negative effect on turnover intention. The article concluded with managerial implications for managerial and future research directions.

Surgical Correction of Congenital Type III Atresia ani with Rectovaginal Fistula in a Cat (고양이의 직장질루가 병발한 Type III 선천성 항문무형성증의 수술적 교정)

  • A four-week-old female Scottish Fold cat weighting 0.6 kg was admitted for vaccination. During the physical examination, the liquid feces were observed from the vulva and the anus was imperforate. The location of a narrow fistula and distended colon were identified on the contrast radiography. Definitive diagnosis was made as type III atresia ani with rectovaginal fistula. Anal reconstruction and ligation of the fistula were successfully undertaken to treat atresia ani. After surgery, the cat was treated with lactulose and a special diet consisting of high fiber was fed to increase digestibility. The cat was able to control defecation after 2 weeks post-operation. There was no complication for 8 months after surgery.

  • After platform changed from PC-based internet to mobile, SNS became new interactive media which relaces face-to-face interaction. the SNS users have already begun to recognize SNS as daily necessity. SNS market has been subdivided. In other words, SNS has entered into a period of vertical SNS that focus on contents and specific target. Therefore, It is necessary to analyze users for SNS planners. For this reason, analyzing why office workers who have the most powerful purchasing power use SNS is meaningful for SNS planners. Therefore, in this study, we analyzed the reasons for using SNS of office workers by studying relationship among office workers' stress, social support, self-expression and the use of SNS. As a result, the use of SNS has a significantly positive correlation with social support and self-expression. The self-expression in the SNS is not associated with stress, but rather it is the characteristics of the office workers. However the social support in the SNS affects to stress.

The Effects of Individual and Environmental factors on the Work-Life Balance of Social Workers: Focused on the Comparison Between Genders and Ages (개인 및 환경요인이 사회복지사의 일-삶 균형에 미치는 영향: 성별과 연령에 따른 비교를 중심으로)

  • This study was conducted to verify the effects of individual psychological capital, spousal support, and organization's family-friendly work culture on work-life balance in social workers. For this purpose, married social workers working in social welfare facilities in Chungcheongbuk-do were surveyed, and 331 collected responses were used in the analysis. Multiple regression analysis revealed that resilience and optimism in individual psychological capital, spousal support, and expectations on working hours in organizations' family-friendly work culture were significantly associated with the work-life balance. In addition, there were different factors influencing the level of work-life balance according to gender and age. The findings suggest that efforts to enhance awareness and improve working conditions, such as the development of self-care program, education on the necessity of work-life balance, and implementation of work-life balancing system, are needed to improve the work-life balance of social workers.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the psychological difficulties, coping strategies and help needed for working mothers in their work and home life. I asked about the difficulties of working together with family life, how to balance the balance between work and family life and what kind of help is needed for working mothers. As a result, 37 categories and 86 subcategories were derived from 11 domains. The 11 areas are: stress factors, psychological experiences, effects of work on family, effects of family on work, positive experiences as working mam, strategy as working mam, establishment of coping strategy, execution of coping strategy, external assistance and what you can do. The implications and limitations of the study were discussed.

  • Background: There have been no reports of studies on the effect of a combination of myofascial relaxation technique and passive stretching on the lower extremity body shape of working women. Purpose: This study aimed to examine the effects of myofascial relaxation technique and passive stretching on body composition and body composition analysis (intracellular fluid, skeletal muscle mass, body cell mass), etc. Methods: The subjects of this study were 30 women at a body shape management center who had many problems with their subjective lower extremity body shape. Fifteen subjects were in the experimental group and the control group. The experimental group applied the fascial relaxation technique twice a week for nine weeks. The control group conducted stretches by themselves at least twice a week according to the active stretching instructions. The ANOVA program analyzed the data. Results: In the experimental group, intracellular fluid (p < .05), skeletal muscle mass (p < .048), and body cell mass (p < .047) were significantly increased. Risk Factors Associated with HPV Infection in the Female Employees and Employees' Partner (여성 직장인 및 직장인 배우자의 인유두종 바이러스 감염 위험인자)

  • Objectives: Human papillomavirus (HPV) infection is highly associated with cervical cancer. So, the modification of the risk factors of HPV infection is essential for prevention of cervical cancer. This study was performed to evaluate the risk factors of HPV infection. Methods: HPV test of 12,337 study population conducted using Hybrid-Capture II assay(HC-II) and self-administered questionnaires were collected. The study population was people who visited hospital-based medical screening center from January to December 2007 and all were female employees or employees' partner. Results: In logistic regression analysis, smoking and alcohol drinking were significant factors, with odds ratios of 1.328 (95% CI 1.010~1.746) and 1.644 (95% CI 1.309~2.066), respectively. Nutritional supplements was also significant factor, which odds ratio was 1.161 (95% CI 1.004~1.343). Oral contraceptives was positive association with HPV infection (odds ratio 2.108; 95% CI 1.217~3.652), whereas condom was negative association (odds ratio 0.851; 95% CI 0.740~0.979). Conclusion: HPV Prevalence of 12,377 study population was 11.4%. Smoking, alcohol drinking, nutritional supplements and oral contraceptives were possible risk factors of HPV infection, and condom had possible preventive effect on HPV infection. Further prospective and comprehensive studies about HPV risk factors are required.

Policy Implications for the Smart Work Diffusion: Focusing on the Perceptual Differences on Organizational Effectiveness between Smart Workers and Office Workers (스마트워크 확산을 위한 정책적 함의: 스마트워크 근로자와 직장근무 근로자의 조직유효성 인식 차이를 중심으로)

  • Smart work, which is a new way of working at out-of-home instead of an office, has become a widespread practice because it is considered as beneficial for both organization and employee. This study is conducted to investigate the differences about attitude toward the organizational effectiveness between smart worker and office worker in a call center. The result showed that the perceived advantages of smart worker(higher service climate, job satisfaction, organizational commitment, service capability) are more positive than those of office workers. Based on this result, the implications and policy directions of smart work were discussed.
