한국산 모기에 대한 조사연구사업의 일환으로 1387년 6월 경기도 남양주군 광릉에 위치한 임업시험장 일대에서 야외채집을 실시한 결과 미기록종 Aedes bekkui(베꾸숲모기)를 채집하였기에 이를 보고한다. 성충의 특징은 기문하구(subspiracular area)에 작을 강모가 없는 점이고, 유충의 특징은 머리털 4-C와 6-C의 간격이 좁고 5,6-C의 크기와 모양은 서로 대등하며 6,7-C의 간격은 5,6-C의 간격보다 2배이상 넓다는 점이다. 또 꼬리틸 3-X는 단모로 되어 있고 2-X보다 상당히 길다. Tanaka의 검색표에 따르면 Aedes bekkui 성충의 특징은 아속 Edwardsaedes와 일치되지만 유충은 아속 Aedimorphus에 일치된다. 이는 Belkin이 처음 아속 Edwardsaedes를 확립할 때 유일하게 Aedes imprimens를 단모식 표본종(monotypic species)으로 이용하여 그 특징 열거에 있어 너무 단조로 왔기 때문이며 또한 일본에서 A. imprimens가 A. bekkui로 판명되기까지 자충의 특징만이 기록되어 왔기 때문이다. 그러므로 과거 한국에서 보고된 A. imprimens도 일본의 경우와 같이 A. bekkui의 오식종이었을 것으로 생각된다.

A large number of Demospongiate have been collected from 18 localities in Cheju Island and its adjacent waters during the period from 1970 to 1991. The identified Demospongiae consist of 67 species, 40 genera and 30 families. Among them 11 species were new to Koera; Oxeostilon fernaldi, Microciona gradalis, Tedania ignis, Haliclona koremella, Adocia neens, Callyspongia variabilis, Suberites axinelloides, Anthosigmella raromicrosclera, Epipolasis kushimotoensis, Acanthella insignia, and Spongosorites salimonensis.

This is the first report of Chaetodontoplus melanosoma, belonging to the family Pomacanthidae, collected in Korea. The specimen (123.1 mm in standard length) was caught in the coastal waters of Jejudo Island by a trammel net on 23 February 2010. This species was characterized by the following morphological traits: 26 dorsal fin rays, 16 pectoral fin rays, 6 pelvic fin, 21 anal fin rays, no blue strips on the body, no markings behind the eye, and an egg-shaped faint black spot on the base of the pectoral fin. We suggest a new Korean name "Geom-eun-cheong-jul-dom" for C. melanosoma.

Hemicycliophora minora Wu, 1966 and Pratylenchoides ivanovae Ryss, 1980 are newly collected from Korea. Five species of Hemicycliophora and 3 species of Pratylenchoides were reported in Korea and key is given. Two preciously described species, Pratylenchoides utahenis Baldwin, Luc & Bell and Rotylenchus feroxcis Eroshenko were observed under the scanning electron microscope.

The one specimen of Astrabe fasciata, belonging to the family Gobiidae was collected from the Dokdo of East Sea in Korea, and described as the first record from Korea. The specimen is characterized by having two dorsal fins, pectoral fin with free rays (five upper, two lower), protrusion on upper posterior part of supraorbital dermal fold, white spots dispersed on head and five white transverse bends on the body. We proposed its Korean name "Dok-do-eol-ruk-mang-duk-sok" and "Dok-do-eol-ruk-mang-duk" for the genus and species, respectively.

Here, we report a previously unrecorded species, Sin-an-sae-u-nan-cho (Calanthe aristulifera Rchb. f.). It was discovered on Heuksan Island in Jeollanam-do. Its natural habitat was a subtropical forest. The species can easily be characterized by the simple trichomes on the back of its leaves and spur. This species is important because new horticultural races of Calanthe can be developed by cross-breeding with other species of Calanthe.

A cossurid polychaete, Cossura brunnea Fauchald, 1972, was newly recorded in Korean fauna. Family Cossuridae is firstly known to in Korean coastal waters. The specimens of the species were collected in the muddy sand bottom. The species was described and illustrated. The key to family was provided.

한국 해산 중복족류에 대한 분류학적 연구의 일환으로 1971년 9월부터 1991년 10월까지 전국 해안 34개 지점으로부터 채집된 나사고둥 상과, 배고둥 상과, 개도지 상과, 위고둥 상과에 속하는 표본들을 대상으로 동정, 분류한 결과 다음와 같은 9종의 한국 미기록종을 얻었기에 도판과함께 디들 종을 새로이 재기재하였다: Kuuosiola fascialis (Menke, 1828), Neohaustator andenensis (Otuka, 1934), Iphinoe unicarinatus(Broderip & Sowerby, 1829), Turritropis turrita Habe, 1962, Calyptraea morbida(Broderip & sowerby, 1829)Turritropis turrita Habe, 1962, Calyptraea morbida(Reeve, 1859), Crepidula onyx (Sowerby, 1824), Primovula frumentum (Sowerby, 1828), Erosaria helvora(Linne, 1758), Reticutriton tenuiliratus(Lissschke, 1873).

Polygonatum taxa of Korea were classified as two sections, three series and 14 species and 2 varieties and reviewed taxonomically. Among the examined taxa, endemics in Korea were recorded as two species; P. grandicaule Y. S. Kim, B. U. Oh & C. G. Jang and P. infundiflorum Y. S. Kim, B. U. Oh & C. G. Jang. The habitat of Korean unrecorded species, P. acuminatifolium Kom. and P. odoratum var. odoratum were confirmed in this study. Keys to the sections, series and species including description of each taxon were provided here.

One species of the Duplachionaspis, D. divergens (Green, 1899) is newly recorded in the Korean fauna of armored scales (Diaspididae). The characters of this genus and species are here redescribed from Korean specimens. A key to species of Duplachionaspis from the East Palaearctic Region, photographs and information on the distribution and hosts of this species, are also provided.
