  • This paper provides a review of research in the area of child(hood) sexual abuse. Particularly, the paper focuses on understanding the direction of research trends in Korea on this topic by evaluating the methodological changes, diversity of topics, and factors associated with research participants. The systemic, comprehensive review includes 28 articles in 14 primary Korean Journals and 261 articles in "Child Abuse and Neglect" and "Child Maltreatment" published from 2000 to 2008. Foci of the reviewing process were; (1) Do the transition of research methods follow scientific saturation? (2) What are the main subject areas of the field? (3)Who are the research participants and from where were they recruited? The review finds that overall, the number of CSA studies fluctuated in early 2000, but remained stable which means that academic interests have remained along with the social concern. The Korean CSA studies are imbalanced in terms of scientific saturation. Studies with theoretical methods are short in numbers, but there is a rapidly growing number of research using qualitative approaches. The review also highlights that most quantitative research utilized cross-sectional survey methodology. The major research themes that were most frequently found were studies on factors associated with CSA and evaluation of treatment modalities. However, research on perpetrators and measurement scale development were rather rare. In the CA&N and CM articles, study participants are frequently recruited from mental health clinics or related social agencies. Korean samples usually come from schools than communities and young children and their mothers seem to be excessively represented. Balanced research efforts are strongly suggested.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the differences among journal publishers and among academic disciplines on factors influencing the adoption of open access. Through the analysis of previous studies, we identified five such factors: journal publishers' attitudes, ability, confidence, social influence and material resources available for open access. The results show that a significant difference among journal publishers from social influence factor. This result implies that efforts toward journal subscribers to have a positive attitude and material resources are important factors for journal publishers. There was a significant difference among academic disciplines in terms of journal publishers' attitudes and ability factors. The findings of this result imply that academic journals need to share more information about open access and that priority should be given to journals that have the ability to influence the adoption of open access.

  • The purpose of this paper is to analyze the interrelation among research areas based on domestic journal papers, achievements of korea researchers. Generally, the content of papers is appeared through abstracts, subjects, full-text and so on. This paper is focused on subject terms of Domestic journal papers. The experimental data are 80 domestic journals, 7,616 papers and 58,143 subject terms and papers published in 2009. As the result, it was different to use subject terms on each research area: Engineering, Agriculture & Oceanography, Interdisciplinary Science, Social Science, Arts & Physical Education, Medicine & Pharmacology, Humanities and Natural Science. Subject terms of Engineering have used the most in the other research areas in aspect of term co-occurrence. The 8 research areas were grouped in 3 clusters: C1(Engineering, Natural Science, Social Science, Interdisciplinary Science, Humanities), C2(Medicine & Pharmacology, Arts & Physical Education), and C3(Agriculture & Oceanography).

  • Objective : This study aims to review research trends in driving rehabilitation for the disabled in South Korea since 2000 suggesting research directions for clinicians and researchers. Methods : Fifty eight articles in 16 journals listed in accredited or candidate journal lists of National Research Foundation of Korea from January, 2000 to December, 2016 were reviewed. 'Driving rehabilitation' and 'driving for disabled' were used as search terms. Descriptive statistics were used to classify articles according to study methodology, levels of evidence, study participants, research topics, and academic associations or official journals. Results : Fifty percent of analyzed researches have been published since 2012. Twenty-two studies (37.9%) were published as group comparison and correlational research. Only seven studies (12.1%) were included in evidence level I. There were 19 studies (38.8%) conducted with brain-injured patients among 49 studies including participants. The Korean Society of Occupational Therapy Journal, having published 15 studies (25.9%) about driving rehabilitation, ranked first among the analyzed journals. In research topic, 15 (25.9%) studies were performed about clinical evaluation. Conclusion : The present study showed that the quality of driving rehabilitation-related studies has been increasing, but more intervention-based researches need to be carried out and it is also necessary to carry out various researches in related fields in order to establish efficient driving rehabilitation in Korea.

A total of 166 research papers are analyzed to see characteristics and changes during 2003-2012. Through this meta analysis, the researcher tries to see the big picture and discusses the right direction for the future of the public relations in many ways. Three different groupings were adopted to classify theories in the 10 year perion - 1. origins of theories(public relations field, related neighbor field, distant field), 2. target of analysis(individual, organization, society), 3. level of approach (systematic pluralistic, rhetorical, critical approach). According to the findings, though getting better, it was 'cold season' in public relations research because theories utilized in Korean public relations research were not very excellent qualitatively and qualitatively. Interdisciplinary approach is discussed.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify trends in domestic breaking research to derive characteristics and implications, and further suggest future research directions. To this end, literature analysis (the timing of paper publication, research method, research topic) and keyword analysis of 50 papers related to breaking published in academic journals registered with the Korea Research Foundation (KCI) were conducted. The research results are as follows. First, the trend by thesis publication period was first published in 2006, showed a slight increase in 2012, and then increased rapidly in 2021. Second, domestic braking-related research has been mainly focused on qualitative research (60%). Third, looking at the research topic, it is divided into three categories: identity establishment, culture and arts field, and sports field, of which studies related to identity establishment accounted for more than 60%. Finally, looking at the keywords frequently used in breaking papers, the most frequently appeared word was 'hip-hop', followed by 'culture'. Based on these results, implications were drawn to establishing the identity of braking through academic and theoretical approaches, practical approaches through the development of standardized textbooks and curriculum, strengthening the characteristics and capabilities of the field through integrated approaches, and changing to sports.
