  • This study examined the factors influencing the relationship between anger and happiness of university nursing students so that they can improve their happiness and perform their studies with better internalized values. The general characteristics, academic efficacy, self-directedness, self-resilience, anger scale, and subjective happiness of 401 nursing students were measured. The differences between these groups were analyzed using t-tests and ANOVA tests. Correlations among academic efficacy, self-directedness, self-resilience and psychological states were calculated using Pearson's correlation coefficient. Multiple group analysis was conducted for assessing the interaction effects of academic efficacy, self-resilience and self-directedness. Subjective happiness and predictors of the study (self-directedness and ego-resilience) were positively correlated with statistical significance. The lower the self-directedness was, the higher the subjective happiness that is reduced by anger was. The higher the self-elasticity, the lower the degree of the subjective happiness that is reduced by anger. Since the moderating effect of self-directedness has been demonstrated in the relationship between anger and happiness, it is necessary to consider instituting proper pedagogy so that the educational method of enhancing self-directedness can be reflected in the field of nursing.

For this purpose, this study set the cause and effect model and the research hypothesis through literature and then conducted a survey of 292 people of high school students in G metropolitan city. The analysis of this study showed that recognition ability and communication skill, which are the factors of studying resilience, had different effects on self-efficacy and academic achievements depending on the degree of stress. It has great significance that if the stress level of the high school students is lower, self-efficacy and academic achievements are higher. Therefore, this study suggested how to inspire the academic achievements based on the results of this analysis.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effect of children's academic stress on school adaptation and to verify whether ego-resilience plays a mediating role in the relationship between academic stress and school adaptation. Based on the data from the 12th year of the Korean Children's Panel (2019), the general characteristics of the main subjects and the mean, standard deviation, skewness and kurtosis of the main variables were confirmed through basic statistical analysis, and correlation analysis was conducted between variables. In addition, to examine whether ego-resilience mediated the effect of academic stress on school adaptation, a three-step regression analysis was conducted following the procedure of Baron and Kenny. The results of this study were as follows. First, it was found that children's academic stress, school adaptation, and ego resilience were all significantly correlated. The higher the academic stress, the lower the ego-resilience and school adaptability. Second, it was confirmed that ego-resilience has a partial mediating effect in the relationship between children's academic stress and school adjustment. Ego resilience in the academic stress situation means that it acts as an important mediating factor to flexibly adapt to school life by objectively grasping and coping with the stress situation. Therefore, we need to recognize the need for flexible and resilient individual characteristics so that children can reduce academic stress and adapt well to school life, and seek active interest and intervention plans.

Validity and credibility of questionnaire were verified through factor analysis and reliability analysis. For data processing, the t-test and multiple regression analysis were used using SPSSWIN 18.00 program. Conclusions are as follows. First, the camp participant group of juveniles showed higher resilience than the non-participant group. Secondly, it was identified that among camping participation degree of juveniles, the resilience of positivity decreased when the length of stay was longer. Thirdly, the camp participant group of juveniles showed lower academic stress than the non-participant group, but did not who significant difference statistically. Methods: Data from 115 second or third-year students in a nursing were collected for two months at different three universities. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, independent t-test, one-way ANOVA, Pearson correlation coefficient, and hierarchical multiple regression. Results: Satisfaction with major was higher for second year students compared to third year students. And the satisfaction was higher for those with a higher Grade point average (${\geq}_-3.5$) compared to those with a lower. Self-oriented perfectionism had a higher score than socially-prescribed perfectionism and academic resilience based on self-control was rated the highest score of the subcategories. The degree of satisfaction was positively correlated with Self-oriented perfectionism and academic resilience. The final regression model showed that grade and academic resilience accounted for 34.2% of the variance in predicting the level of satisfaction with major. Conclusion: The results suggest that it is crucial to find a strategy that could enhance academic resilience, especially designed for upper-year university students, to improve the level of satisfaction with major.

The data, collected from 664 high and middle school students, were examined by the statistics software SPSS 17.0 and AMOS 17.0, in which descriptive statistics, factor analysis, structural equation model analysis, and multi-group simultaneous analysis are utilized. As a result, it is shown from the structural equation modeling that school violence have positive effects on depression and suicide, but negative effects on family and academic resiliency. Both ego and family resiliency act as protective factors, negatively affecting the depression. In addition, the family resiliency had negative effects on suicide. The results of multi-group simultaneous analysis imply that school violence have different effects on suicide and family resiliency respectively, depending on gender differences. Female adolescents are affected more strongly than male adolescents.
