  • Corona, which first broke out in 2020, has caused many changes in many parts of society. Education was not an exception to this change. Teachers had to prepare online classes and students were asked to participate in it without sufficient preparation. Regarding online learning, many studies, in the field of developing teaching module and material or observing the satisfaction of online class, were conducted but there was no study based on how online class is happening in school. Therefore, this study was to investigate the current situation and satisfaction of online class for high school students and explored the relationship between sub-elements of mathematics learning and the level of satisfaction of online learning. As a result, mathematics online class was generally conducted in the form of real-time interactive classes and students felt a little satisfied with it. However, some conflicting opinions were expressed on the continuation of mathematics online learning. In addition, the study found that the higher level of satisfaction students have with online class, the difference appears in the sub-elements of learning mathematics such as values of mathematics, and motivation to learn, willingness to learn mathematics, learning strategies according to the safisfactory level of online class.

  • The teacher plays important role at students' achievement. This study analyses science class by pre-service science teacher. An survey tool for analysis of science class was composed of the lesson, student behavior, teacher behavior and questioning techniques. Pre-service science teacher analyzed the science class of 100 science teacher. The results of this study showed that pre-service science teacher analysis that current science class did not focused on inquiry-oriented. The score of science class did not statistically significantly difference by science teacher's characteristics as gender and age. Also, they analyses that science teacher use concept-oriented and teacher-oriented method.

  • It is necessary to study how to plan and perform the process-focused assessment of the teacher as the planner and practitioner to examine the application of the process-focused assessment for mathematical subject competency in a mathematics classroom. In this study, we designed and conducted an experimental lesson based on the process-focused assessment for elementary school students. This study explored the practical application of the process-focused assessment. In addition, we explored how to apply it to elementary mathematics education. This study suggests a method to embody the process-focused assessment class that can be applied in the 2nd grade mathematics class in elementary school. We propose future research on how to provide individual feedback to each student's needs in the process-focused assessment.

  • The Korea Institute of Curriculum and Evaluation(KICE) has carried out the research on the development of the standards on teaching evaluation between 2004 and 2006, and particularly on the 'mathematics' teaching evaluation in 2006. The purpose of development of mathematics teaching evaluation standards is to improve not only mathematics teachers' professionalism but also their own teaching methods or strategies. The standards on mathematics teaching evaluation were developed based on the standards on general (not individual subject) teaching evaluation. They were revised and modified by analyzing the results of the interviews and survey with teachers about the adaptability of the standards in school. The standards were classified into four major areas of knowledge, planning, practice, and professionalism. Each area of these four were categorized into 6 smaller divisions and 36 elements. In addition, it was presented that brief descriptions on each teaching evaluation standards(element), guideline for evaluation methods, evaluator's observation index, and performance level with explanation for the standard achievement in four stages.

  • Each university runs curriculum for pre-service teachers to improve teaching skills and designing classes and realizing them. Pre-service teachers can have opportunities of designing and realizing charming classes in the course of practice teaching. We can say that if pre-service teachers can practice simulation for effective teaching skills, there can be some advantages: improvement of class environment, consolidation of instructors' abilities, and thus a ripple effect of for those within the whole community. The purpose of this study is to introduce and indicate the direction of simulation for pre-service teachers and beginners alike, thus training and expecting them to improve effective questioning skills through systematic education courses.

  • The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of experimental learning using the small-scale chemistry (SSC) on high school students' academic achievement, scientific attitude and science-related attitude in high school chemistry I. For this study, two high school 2nd grade classes were divided into an experimental group and a control group. Experimental learning using the SSC in the experimental group, traditional experimental learning presented in the textbook in the control group were performed. The results showed that experimental learning using the SSC compared to traditional experimental learning was effective in improving academic achievement. The experimental learning also was effective in improving voluntary, patience, cooperativity in the scientific attitudes and social implications of science, attitude for science curriculum, attitude toward science in the science-related attitudes. Therefore, experimental learning using the SSC is necessary to actively utilize in high school chemistry curriculum.

  • Novel Engineering(NE) is integrated learning model to figure out problems in a book and solve them with creative engineering process. NE has been performed on offline until now. We have to research blended learning projects for COVID-19 outbreak. In this paper, we are going to explore that blended NE is effective to creative problem solving ability. The results showed that blended NE is highly effective to all of four sub-elements; self conviction & independence, diffusion thinking, critical thinking and motivational element. This means that blended novel engineering class is effective to competence-centered class proposed in 2015 revised curriculum. We hope that the research is spread and settled into our school.

  • The "Figure Equation" chapter of current high school curriculum prevents students from relating the concept with what they studied in middle school Euclidean geometry. Woo(1998) concerns that the curriculum introduces the concept merely in algebraic ways without providing students with opportunities to relate it with their prior understanding of geometry, which is based on Euclidean one. In the present study, a sequence of GeoGebra-embedded-geometry lessons was designed so that students could be introduced to and solve problems of the Analytic Geometry by triggering their prior understanding of the Euclidean Geometry which they had learnt in middle school. The study contributes to the field of mathematics education by suggesting a sequence of geometry lessons where students could introduce to the coordinate geometry meaningfully and conceptually in high school.

  • 5 years are passed since the 7th National Curriculum of Education began. The curriculum didn't get successful outcomes, rather brought about several problems. Especially, the computer curriculum didn't effectively deal with fast developing computer technology. In present, the general and overall problems of middle school computer education suggested in many previous researches. After we investigate general computer education problems which computer teachers and students are felt, we must try to reflect the results in computer education policy. In this paper, on the basis of general computer education problems suggested by previous researches, we absolutely analyzed the teacher's and student's question results about correct situation of middle school, and suggested improvement methods of middle school computer education.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate the influences of teaching mathematics for social justice on students'interest towards mathematics and perceptions of mathematical values. Eighteen 6th grade students, at B elementary school in Seocho-gu, Seoul, who wished to involved in the study participated in the 10 hour lessons. During the lessons for social justice, the researchers analyzed the students' reactions in the lessons according to the three categories: Perceiving given problematic situations of social conflicts, searching for problem-solving methods based on mathematical analysis, and changing social behaviors to solve life issues through mathematics. They also examined changes of students' interest towards mathematics and perceptions of mathematical values through the activities and reactions using the preliminary questionnaires, observations of lessons, and students' activity sheets. The research results showed that the students perceived mathematics as a tool for social justice in mathematics lessons, tried to find problem-solving methods based on mathematical analysis, and expressed their active social behaviors by cultivating the will of practice to solve life issues through mathematics. Based on those findings, the study reached the following conclusions. First, the students recognize many of the social problems in their societies as social justice regardless of their economic levels. Second, learning activities need to design in a way that students can accept the social problems as realistic situations in teaching mathematics for social justice. Third, students look at the world from a mathematical perspective, have interest in mathematics, and recognize the values of mathematics in teaching mathematics for social justice.
