상향 링크와 하향 링크의 대역폭이 다른 비대칭 망 환경에서 범용 TCP를 사용하는 경우, 상향 링크의 혼잡으로 인해 TCP의 성능이 저하되는 문제점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점을 개선하기 위하여 하향 링크에서 데이터 세그먼트의 크기를 조정하여 상향 링크의 혼잡을 완화시키는 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 단대단 의미구조를 유지하면서 망의 상태에 따라 세그먼트의 크기를 최적으로 조절하여 응답 패킷을 최소한으로 생성하도록 하는 특징을 가지고 있다. 특히, 조정된 크기를 갖는 세그먼트가 전송 도중에 오류가 발생하는 경우에 빠른 복구를 위해 SACK를 사용한다. 또한, 혼잡 제어 구간에서는 세그먼트의 크기를 조절하지 않도록 하여 줄어든 응답 패킷의 수로 인한 성능 감소를 방지한다.

This paper presents the test results of biological aerated filtration(BAF) process to replace activated sludge process by enhancing treated effluent quality and reducing the costs. In BAF process both BOD and SS compounds in wastewater are degraded and removed by biological reaction and filtration. Upflow BAF with expanded polypropylene media and downflow BAF with ceramic media were used to investigate the effects of hydraulic and organic loads on effluent quality. As a result, in BAF processes which has different media, upflow BAF reactor shows 5% higher efficiency than downflow BAF and this phenomena caused by backwashing methods and operational conditions. The results of influence factors analyzed by Factor Analysis Method in BOD and SS treatment efficiency are the size of media, hight of media bed and type of media. The quantitative effects of media size are 5.73% in TBOD, 5.78% in SBOD and 7.65% in TSS, so we confirmed the main factor is media size.

In this paper, we provide an efficient method of user selection for achieving the maximum system throughput in downlink multiuser Multiple-Input Multiple-Output (MIMO) systems. A proposed method is for selecting a fine user set only with powers of each user channel and angles between them. This algorithm is simpler than SUS because there is no considering about the optimal value of correlation. The proposed method finds the user set toward maximizing system throughput, so it has high performance.

IDF(intensity-duration-frequency) 곡선은 재현기간을 고려하여 수공구조물 설계에 필요한 설계강우량을 산정하는데 사용되고 있다. 국내의 경우 IDF 곡선은 지점빈도해석으로부터 지속기간별로 산정되고 있으며 지속기간별 분포형 선택과 같은 많은 가정으로 인해 불확실성을 내포하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 이러한 극한 강우량의 스케일 특성을 통해 서로 다른 기간에 걸쳐 통계적으로 접근하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 지속기간 24시간의 강우자료로부터 연최대강우량을 추출하여 스케일 특성을 통해 지속기간 24시간 이하 또는 이상의 스케일링(scaling) IDF 곡선을 유도하였다. 본 연구를 위해 k-means 방법으로부터 지역을 구분하여 지역빈도해석을 실시하였고, 기상청 산하의 강우 지점을 미계측 지점으로 가정한 후 하향스케일링(down-scaling)과 상향스케일링(up-scaling)을 적용한 후 지속기간 24시간 이외의 확률강우량을 추정하였으며, 빈도해석 결과와의 비교를 통해 스케일링 IDF 곡선의 적용성을 판단하였다.

최근 자원 효율성을 증대하기 위하여 차세대 유무선 통신시스템에서 동일대역 전이중 방식(in band full-duplex, FDX)을 채택하고 있다. 하지만 전이중 방식은 송수신이 동시에 이루어지기 때문에 하향신호와 상향신호가 더해져 수신된다. 따라서 원하는 신호를 수신하기 위해 자기간섭(SI: self-interference)으로 존재하는 하향 신호를 제거하는 기술이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 주파수영역에서 자기간섭신호 제거(SIC: SI cancellation)하는 방법에 대해서 제안하고 실제 RF를 통과한 신호에 적용하여 성능을 분석한다.

We have experimentally simulated the violation of the Leggett-Garg inequality (LGI) using a heralded-single-photon source via spontaneous parametric down-conversion (SPDC) in a periodically poled potassium titanyl phosphate (PPKTP) crystal. We measured the polarization fringe as a function of the angle of the linear polarization of the photons, and analyzed the LGI according to n measurement. Simulation results for LGI based on the polarization of the heralded single photon were in good agreement with theoretical calculations.

본 논문에서는 DAVIC 표준안에 근거하여 주파수 대역폭이 하향스트림 120MHz와 상향스트림 60MHz로 디지털 LMDS 서비스 망이 구축되었을 때, 하향스트림과 상향스트림 구조 및 프레임 관계에 대하여 기술하고, 이를 기반으로 하여 LMDS 상에서 멀티미디어 서비스 제공시 음성:전용회선:데이터를 10%:30%:60% 비율로 가정하고 서비스별 수용 가능한 가입자 채널 용량을 산출하였다.

본 논문은 차세대 위성 개발을 위한 선행 연구의 일환으로, 다양한 플랫폼에 적용할 수 있는 위성 전자 전산 시스템 개발 검증 장비의 구성 요소인 상/하향 명령 처리 장치를 PC 에서 구동할 수 있도록 개발한 것이다. 이 PC 기반의 상/하향명령처리 시험환경은 위성의 Flight Software 로직의 검증용으로도 활용될 수 있다.
