Subimage Detection of Window Image Using AdaBoost (AdaBoost를 이용한 윈도우 영상의 하위 영상 검출)

  • Window image is displayed through a monitor screen when we execute the application programs on the computer. This includes webpage, video player and a number of applications. The webpage delivers a variety of information by various types in comparison with other application. Unlike a natural image captured from a camera, the window image like a webpage includes diverse components such as text, logo, icon, subimage and so on. Each component delivers various types of information to users. However, the components with different characteristic need to be divided locally, because text and image are served by various type. In this paper, we divide window images into many sub blocks, and classify each divided region into background, text and subimage. The detected subimages can be applied into 2D-to-3D conversion, image retrieval, image browsing and so forth. There are many subimage classification methods. In this paper, we utilize AdaBoost for verifying that the machine learning-based algorithm can be efficient for subimage detection. In the experiment, we showed that the subimage detection ratio is 93.4 % and false alarm is 13 %.

Adequacy Analysis of Tunnel Management System in terms of Operational Safety (터널관리시스템의 안전운영 적정성 분석)

  • Length and the number of tunnels has increased 10% annually. Tunnel construction has positive effect in nature and driving condition. However, the structure of tunnels lead to a greater probability of major accidents. For this reason, tunnel is focusing its attention on the rapid incident handling and disaster management to build a tunnel management system in recently. In this study, tunnel management system adequacy analyzed in terms of operational safety using IPA and AHP analysis. IPA analysis results using the portfolio chart, incident management factors has a large gap between important and satisfaction. Disaster management is analyzed high ranking in priority. However, incident management factors are derived first priority in AHP analysis. This study determined that the results are meaningful to practitioners in the field is determined. In addition, practitioners comments should be reflected primarily for tunnel operational safely.

  • The aim of Information Education is to improve the problem-solving skills based on Computational Thinking. In the current elementary school curriculum, there is no independent information subject. So, it will get used to browse the sub-element being applied implications for Computational Thinking through an analysis of teaching and leaning elementary mathematic scene. In this paper reveal the relationship sub-element of the Computational Thinking for solving problems through teaching and learning scene in elementary mathematics.

  • 관상학(Physiognomy)이란 사람의 얼굴을 보고 그의 운명, 성격, 수명 따위를 판단하는 방법을 연구하는 학문을 말한다. 이 논문에서 언급하는 관상학은 동양에서 말하는 관상학, 특히 얼굴의 부분적 특성이나 전체적인 조화를 통해 성격과 운영을 예측하는 학문을 의미한다. 이 연구는 동양 관상학을 적용한 성격별 얼굴 설계 시스템 구축에 관한 것으로, 첫째, 보편적인 성격 분류를 위해 MBTI에서 다루는 성격 어휘 161개를 군집분석을 통해 39개의 대표 어휘로 추출하였다. 추출된 대표 성격 어휘의 의미상 거리를 나타내기 위하여 서베이를 통해 얻은 데이터를 다차원 척도법을 통해 2차원 공간상에 성격 어휘의 관계를 분석하였다. 둘째, 얼굴 시각화를 위해 먼저 얼굴의 형태적 특성을 결정짓는 요소를 크게 얼굴형, 눈, 코, 입, 이마, 눈썹으로 분류하고, 분류된 6가지 얼굴 형태의 29가지 하위요소 별 성격을 한국인의 얼굴 특성을 기준으로 관상학적 정리 및 숫자형식 코드화를 하였다. 추출된 대표 성격 어휘별 얼굴 요소의 형태를 앞서 정리된 코드에 따라 하나의 얼굴 형태로 조합하여 39가지 얼굴을 시각화 하여 마지막으로, 성격별 얼굴 설계 시스템 'FACE'를 제작하였다. 이 연구는 사람의 성격 특성에 따라 그에 맞는 얼굴 형태를 구현하는 시스템을 제작하여 일반 사용자 뿐 아니라 애니메이션 캐릭터 개발자에게 객관적인 도움을 줄 수 있으며 또한 예로부터 내려오는 관상학의 적용 범위를 넓힐 수 있는 가능성을 보여주었다고 할 수 있다.

Model Design and Proposal for the Development of a Learning Status Diagnostic Tool at a Christian University (기독교 대학에서의 학습 상황 진단 도구 개발을 위한 모형 설계 및 제안)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze various factors that influence the academic life of students through a theoretical review. As a result of the analysis, sub-factors were derived to diagnose the factors. From the study's findings, principles and models for developing learning status diagnosis tools were designed. The study first, based upon the competencies of university students, university life, students' low academic achievement, and academic probation studies, confirmed what factors affect student learning and from them derived a set of sub-factors. The setting dimension was divided into psychology, learning, and career factors, while also including a factor of faith for Christian university students. Next, in the draft model, sub-factors were constructed for each factor: faith maturity and faith training in the faith factor, positive thinking, emotion regulation, and self-esteem in the psychology factor, self-directed learning ability, learning motivation, and learning strategies in the learning factor, and career reflection, career exploration, career management, and career barriers in the career factor. By using the Delphi method, the final model of learning status diagnosis was confirmed. As a result, we completed the model comprised of nine sub-factors in four parts. A follow-up study should be conducted that examines learning status diagnosis tools development research.

A Study of Metadata for Composite Electronic Records Archiving: With a Focus on Digital Components of E-Learning Contents (복합전자기록물 아카이빙을 위한 메타데이터에 관한 연구 - 이러닝 콘텐츠의 디지털 컴포넌트를 중심으로 -)

  • Electronic record types are becoming diverse, and "composite electronic records," which are made up of various types of electronic records associated with functionality or user interaction that does not exist in current electronic document formats, are increasing. To ensure a continuous access to composite electronic records, metadata construction is a prerequisite for electronic records archiving. In this paper, we propose a metadata that can support archiving of composite electronic records associated with interactive functionality. The common elements were derived from an analysis of both domestic and international file format registry projects, and metadata elements related to functional requirements were identified from the analysis of the records on nursing education e-learning contents. We proposed the metadata elements for archiving composite electronic records, which consist of 25 high-level elements and 138 subelements.

  • 온라인 학습 환경을 효율적으로 구성하는 것은 학습자의 학습 성공을 촉진할 뿐만 아니라 학습과정의 이해에 절대적으로 필요한 일이다. 만일 학습자와 교수자가 효율적으로 교류하면 학습자가 느끼는 심리적 거리감은 상당히 최소화될 수 있을 것이다. 이 연구는 학습자들의 온라인 학습에서 교류적 거리의 구조 지각은 성별에 따라 달라지는가를 알아보고 온라인 환경에서의 수업만족도, 지속성, 학업성취도에 가장 큰 영향을 미치는 구조의 하위영역이 무엇인지를 밝혀 학습자들의 학습효과를 체계적으로 높일 수 있는 온라인 환경의 요소를 탐색하는데 있다. 설문을 통해 수집된 자료는 연구 목적에 따라 다양한 분석을 실시하였다. 이 연구 결과 학습자의 일반적 특성인 성별에 따른 교류적 거리의 구조 지각수준은 의의있는 차이가 없었다(p>.05). 교류적 거리의 구조 지각수준과 학습자가 지각하는 수업만족도간에 의의있는 상관이 있었으며, 학습자의 학습 지속성과도 통계적으로 의의있는 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 그러나 학업성취도와 교류적 거리의 구조 지각수준 간에는 유의의한 차이가 발견되지 않았다(p>.05). 교류적 거리의 구조 하위영역 중 수업만족도에 대한 영향력이 큰 하위영역은 과정 상호 작용이며, 학습 지속성에 대한 영향력이 큰 하위영역은 내용 구성요인으로 나타났다.

A Design of Korean Language Parsing based on Subcategorization (하위범주화에 의한 한국어 파싱 설계)

  • This paper discusses a design for Korean language parsing based on subcategorization. First, we discuss some important Korean grammar elements such as syntax category, josa, omi-conjugation, syntactic affix, dependent noun and also discuss subcategorization and expression patterns. Then, we show the basic structure of Korean language parsing process. The first stage scans the input sentence and processes article, noun phrase, numeral, josa, affix, dependent noun, adjective, omi-conjugation, adverb, auxiliary verb. The second stage deals with subcategorization patterns and expression patterns. The third stage processes the clauses and the fourth stage deals with SEA(Sentence Ending+Auxiliary).

  • 비상시 엘리베이터의 피난 활용은 피난층과 함께 초고층 및 복합연계건축물의 새로운 피난 수단으로 인식되며 현재 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 그러나 현 상황에서 엘리베이터의 고려는 대부분 설계단계에서 이루어지나 비상대응계획 차원에서의 명확한 가이드라인 없이 설계자의 판단에 의하여 진행된다. 이를 위하여 본 연구에서는 기존 연구 문헌과 설계자들에 의하여 현재 고려되어지는 요소를 인적, 환경적, 전략적인 고려요소로 구분하여 검토하였다. 엘리베이터 피난에 고려되는 요소를 목적과 기능, 역할에 따라 하위 단계위 구성요소를 설정하였으며 각각의 요소는 상위 요인에 종속되는 것으로 설계하였다. 종합적으로 볼 때 엘리베이터 피난에 있어서의 많은 요소가 고려되어지며, 각각의 요소는 계단과 피난층 등의 피난수단의 복합적인 이용에 따른 피난설계단계뿐만 아니라 유지관리단계에 있어서도 영향을 끼치는 것으로 분석되었다.

Korean Middle School Students' Perceptions as Global Citizens of Socioscientific Issues (과학과 관련된 사회.윤리적 문제(SSI)의 맥락에 따른 중학생들의 인성적 태도와 가치관 분석)

  • This study investigates Korean middle school students' perceptions as global citizens (i.e. ecological worldview, social and moral compassion, and socioscientific accountability) of Socioscientific Issues (SSI). We developed questionnaires that consisted of 20 Likert-type items to gauge their preceptions of the three different SSI contexts (i.e. nuclear power generation, bio-technology, climate change), and administered them to 225 9th grade students in Seoul. The results revealed that participants showed relatively high scores for ecological worldview but scored low on social and moral compassion across the SSI contexts. In addition, participants presented much higher scores for ecological worldview and socioscientific accountability regarding the issues of climate change. The participant responses indicated that they perceived more inter-connectedness with the environment and felt the responsibility of promoting sustainable development more to prevent further devastation in the context of climate change compared to nuclear power generation or biotechnology.
