Study on Multibody Dynamic Analysis and Durability of Heavy Load Bucket Roller Chain System (고하중용 버킷 롤러체인 시스템의 다물체 동역학 해석 및 내구성 연구)

  • In this study, multibody dynamic and mechanical analyses were conducted for the structure of roller chain bucket elevator system. The fatigue life of the roller chain elevator system was determined under static and fatigue loadings. Results of multibody dynamic analysis suggested that the maximum contact force occurred at the drive sprocket engagement point with the roller chain due to maximum tension. Fatigue analysis results suggest that the high load roller chain system is durable and safe because its life time is more than 700,000 cycles, close to its designed value (1,000,000 cycle). However, the contact portion of plate and pin needed a safety factor. The dynamic analysis of the heavy load roller chain was conducted with a multibody dynamic analysis program. The results obtained in this study can be utilized for dynamic analysis of roller chain systems in all industries.

  • In the building process of FPSOs(floating production, storage and offloading units) is the increasing demand of high performance piping joints that can be installed on its turret system and maintain smooth and long-term flow of ultra-high pressure crude oil, being subjected to external excitations such as wind and wave on the sea. Following such a trend, in this paper, a new-type piping joint of four effective degrees of freedom has been designed, and its dynamic characteristics predicted through mathematical modeling and computer simulations. Moreover, via an example it was shown how the yaw motion in particular can be independently controlled for future durability test despite strong kinetic couplings.

  • LMTT(Linear Motor based Transfer Technology) is a new type of transfer system used in the maritime container terminal fur the port automation, and largely consists of a controller, shuttle car, and rail. The shuttle car is divided into the frame part, the driving part, and wheels. In order to design this system, various researches on each part of it must be conducted. In this study, we dealt with the optimum design for the frame part of the shuttle car designed from previous studies on the strength of the frame with respect to the number of cross beams to minimize the weight of the shuttle car and to satisfy design criteria of cargo-handling systems in container terminal. For the optimization of the frame, thicknesses of each beam were adopted as design variables, the weight of the frame as objective function, and stress and deflection per unit length as constraint condition.

  • A monitoring system for container using CPS is the system for positioning and managing containers in real time. CPS is capable of positioning the container, promptly with a reasonable amount of accuracy. Facility managers of ports or airports should have loading, unloading, and keeping freight effectively. Transport companies or freight owners should allocate moving container properly and be able to prevent the loss or delay of freight. In this study, the position and pathways of container are monitored by real-time tracking method. The absolute and relative locations of container are monitored digitally and visually from TC_loading to TC_unloading yard. It has been tested the movement of the containers equiped with GPS, and its accuracy and efficiency were analyzed.

  • 부산항은 컨테이너터미널 운영사별로 마케팅 전략 수립 및 마케팅 활동이 개별적으로 이루어질 뿐 항만 관련 유관기관(부산시, 부산지방해양수산청, 한국컨테이너부두공단, 부산본부세관)의 조화된 항만 마케팅 전략 및 역할이 수립되지 않은 상태이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 부산항 활성화를 위한 각 주체별 활동 현황을 조사하고, 항만 이용자인 선사 및 포워더를 대상으로 마케팅 믹스(Mix, 4P: Product, Place, Price, Promotion)에 대한 설문조사를 토대로 부산항 마케팅 분석을 실시한다 이를 바탕으로 부산항이 동북아 중심항만으로 성장하는데 필요로 하는 부산항 관련 각 주체별 마케팅 관계 그리고 역할을 제시한다. IPA(Importance-Performance Analysis) 분석 결과를 살펴보면 전체 고객을 대상으로 평가했을 때 가격 믹스와 촉진믹스는 가장 중요도가 높은 것으로 분석되었으며 특히, 촉진믹스는 중요도는 매우 높으나 만족도가 낮은 것으로 분석되었다. 그러므로 마케팅 전략 수립 시 촉진 부문에도 높은 비중을 두어 선사들에게 공격적인 마케팅 활동이 요구된다고 할 수 있다. 부산항 관련 각 주체별 마케팅 역할에서 부산광역시는 부산지방해양수산청과 함께 촉진믹스에 중점을 두어야하고, 부산지방해양수산청은 촉진믹스 외에 가격믹스에서 항만 요율의 적절성과 경로믹스인 철도 수송 망의 확보가 시급한 것으로 나타났다. 한국컨테이너부두공단은 촉진믹스 외에 가격믹스에서 항만시설 사용료의 체계적인 개편이 요구되고, 터미널 운영사는 제품믹스 서비스인 공컨테이너의 효율적인 재고관리 업무서비스와 가격믹스에서 하역요율의 탄력적인 제공이 필요하다.

새萬金 干拓綜合開發事業의 意義와 計劃內容

  • 서해안 시대를 맞이하여 21세기를 열어나갈 새萬金 千拓綜合開發事業 기공식이 지난해 11월 28일 전북 부안군 변산면 대항리 현장에서 盧泰愚대통령, 曺京植농림수산부장관, 金榮鎭農漁村振興公私社長, 국회농림수산위원회 위원장, 전북도지사, 地域出身國會議員등 내외 귀빈과 지역 주민 2,400여명이 참석한 가운데 열려 사상 최대의 간척사업으로서 첫발을 내딛었다. 이날 盧泰愚대통령은 치사를 통해 "자손만대에 물려줄 웅대한 국토확장의 첫삽을 뜨게 되어 깊은 감회를 느낀다"면서 "만경, 김제의 넓은 벌이 우리나라의 곡창으로 겨레의 삶을 보장해온 터전이었듯이 새만금의 광활한 간척지를 21세기 번영을 기약하는 땅이 되도록 하자"고 당부하였다. 새만금사업의 공사기간은 '91년부터 98년까지 외곽방조제를 완공하고 2004년까지 내부개발을 완료할 예정이고, 총 사업비 1조 3천억원을 투입하게된다. 사업지역은 1도 3군 1시 19읍면동 (전북 옥구군, 부안군, 김제군, 군산시)에 걸쳐서 40,100ha를 개발하게 된다. 주요시설로는 부안군 변산면 대항리에서 可力島, 新侍島, 夜味島, 및 飛鷹島를 연결하는 세계 최장의 방조제 33km를 축조하고 방조제 위에는 4차선 도로를 설치하고 장항선이 군산하구둑을 경유, 이 방조제를 거쳐 고군산군도까지 갈 수 있도록 하는 철도부지도 건설된다. 이와 함께 새만금국제항을 개설, 연간 5,000만톤의 하역능력을 갖게 되고 고군산군도를 잇는 관광휴양지가 형성된다.

  • The common underwater rock removal methods involve underwater blasting and crane's chisel dropping impact method. From an environmental point of view, these methods cause ground vibrations and underwater noise. At the site for this study, a method of dropping heavyweight chisel is selected to remove the underwater bedrock near the ferry rack in the course of improving the cargo handling ability of the loading dock. A prediction formula for the vibration was obtained based on the measurement and evaluation of the vibrations caused by the chisel dropping impacts during the test droppings. The prediction formula was successfully applied to the main construction for securing the stability of the structure.

  • To secure superiority in keen competition among ports and to satisfy demands of shippers and shipping companies who are a main customer of ports, logistics service should be improved. However, most of dissatisfaction for logistics service arises from frequent transportation changes of shippers and inaccuracy of cargo-working information offered from shipping companies and inaccuracy of cargo information carried in from carriers. Therefore, the study embodied BPR and yard management prototype system on the basis of the process of business flow in yard to settle the above problems. The study also checked that information of booking list in a yard-allocated plan could be applied to forming efficient collaborative supply networking in yard management by supplementing insufficient cargo.

Analysis of the Wave Induced Downtimes in Pohang New Harbor (포항신항내 파랑에 의한 Downtime 분석)

  • To find the causes of the downtime problems in Pohang New Harbor, extensive field measurements of short- and long-period waves for 1.5 months and their analyses were made taking into account of wind and downtime records. Measured wave height ratios inside the harbor are appeared to be slightly larger than predicted ones using numerical methods in the previous studies. It is shown that the major causes of the downtime are the wind wave (or swell) higher than loading criteria and also swell with even smaller wave height but longer period(more than 10 sec). Waves of long-period components[0(min)] were recorded as 20 cm high in case of dominant seiche phenomena but they might not be related with the downtime problems.

Multi-floor Layout Model for Topsides of Floating Offshore Plant using the Optimization Technique (최적화 기법을 이용한 부유식 해양 플랜트 상부 구조의 다층 배치 모델)

  • For a floating offshore plant such as FPSO(Floating, Production, Storage, and Off-loading unit), various equipment should be installed in the restricted space, as compared with an onshore plant. The requirement for an optimal layout method of the plant has been increased in these days. Thus, a layout method of the floating offshore plant was proposed in this study. For this, an optimization problem for layout design was mathematically formulated, and then an optimization algorithm based on the genetic algorithm was implemented with C++ language in order to solve it. Finally, the proposed method was applied to an example of FPSO topsides. As a result, it was shown that the proposed method can be applied to layout design of the floating offshore plant such as FPSO.
