In order to achieve the purpose of the study, data of 154 students from elementary and middle school soccer teams and soccer clubs in Busan Metropolitan City and Gyeongsangnam-do were collected, and then exploratory factor analysis, Cronbach's α coefficient calculation and correlation using SPSS statistic 25.0 The reliability and validity of the relationship analysis and research tools were verified. After that, the results of multiple regression analysis for hypothesis testing are as follows. First, it was found that the empowerment of the captain of the soccer team had a partial positive effect on role perception. Second, it was found that the empowerment of the captain of the soccer team had a partial positive effect on the team cohesion. Third, it was found that the role perception of the captain of the soccer team had a positive effect on the team cohesion. • This study investigated the effect of small-world structure in team processes on team performance. I discussed the theoretical relationship between small-world structure in team processes and team performance and analyzed the relationship using pass data of soccer teams. I constructed the 128 pass networks from the pass data of the 2014 FIFA World Cup and then measured the structural features indicating small-world structure of the networks. Correlation analysis and regression analysis were performed in order to examine the strength and direction of the relationship. According to the results, the clustering has an exponential relationship with team performance and the connectivity has a log-function relationship with team performance. Finally, I found the positive effect of small-world structure in team processes on team performance. Through theoretical discussion and empirical analysis, this study found that small-world structure in team processes increase team performance by facilitating task coordination and collaboration between team members.

This study was to verify structural relationships among regional identity, team identification and re-attend intention of professional soccer spectators. Data were collected from spectators of professional soccer game in 'D' metropolitan city. Using purposive sampling method, a total of 397 samples were used for analysis. The statistical techniques for data analysis were descriptive analysis, frequency analysis, reliability analysis, correlation analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and structural equation modeling by SPSS 15.0 and AMOS 7 programs. The results of this study were that regional identity have a positive effects on team identification. Also, team identification have a positive effects on re-attend intention. Theoretical and practical implications and future research directions were provided.

Materials and Methods: We performed physical examination to the professional soccer team, consisted 34 player's average age 24.9 years. The examination performed were questionnaire on history, musculoskeletal examination, muscle power test, physiologic test, functional test. Results: According to the relationship between player position and injury pattern,. Knee injuries are most frequent on history. Physical examination outcome was that forward were prone to flexor hallucis longus tendinitis, midfielder for chronic ankle instability, defender for achilles tendinitis. Isokinetic test was done at dominant side, Peak torque to body weight ratio was 55.1%. Physiologic test checked body fat percentage was midfielder was superior as 19.8 (SD 2.9). Functional test out-come was that back strength 125 N. sergeant jump 59.6 cm, reaction time 208.5 sec, flexibility 19.2 m/s, side step 39.9 cm. Conclusion: Pre-seasonal physical examination gave us the standardization data and preventive measurement could be advocated from this results.

  • Our study examines the relationship between coach turnover and professional sport team performance using the evidences of Korean professional soccer teams. We collected panel dataset of 304 team-year observations and 96 coaches from Korean professional soccer league during the period of 1983-2013. Among them, our final sample is comprised of 226 observations and 81 coaches manifested for fixed-effect generalized least square (GLS) regression analysis. Drawing on sport management literatures and organizational learning theory, we argue that it takes time for a new head coach to take charge of the team in which the new leader who secure more time to interact with organization members is better able to remodel and improve team performance. Our empirical findings reveal that off-season coach turnover has a positive impact while turnover during the season has its negative influences on team performance. In addition, we find that subsequent team performance in association of off-season coach turnover is comparably better than that of on-season succession. The results show that coach succession rendered from inside the professional soccer team mediates the relationship between coach turnover and team performance. Our findings imply that coach turnover in professional sport teams is a significant factor affecting team performance.

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the most influential soccer players by appling social network analysis. The subjects were the German national soccer team and the Korean national soccer team participated in the 2016 Brazil World Cup. The pass collected data provided by FIFA were analyzed by social network analysis using the Ucinet6 program and pass success rate. The results are as follows. First, the soccer player with a lot of passes had a high connection centrality in pass-through networks and high proximity. Second, the German national soccer team has appeared key players as Phillip Lahm and Kroos player, and a key player of the Korean national soccer team was Ki,S.Y. Third, the German national soccer team's quantitative indicator value of proximity center and pass success rate appeared higher than the Korean national soccer team's.
