An Embedded FPGA Implementation for a Cameralink Interface (카메라링크 접속을 위한 임베디드 FPGA의 구현)

  • Although conventional analog linescan cameras are used widely, high-speed, high-resolution Cameralink standard will lead the area of frame grabber industry such as factory automation. In this paper, we are developing embedded frame grabber testbed without PC which will give an another solution to image processing applications. Therefore, we designed hardware schematics and programmed FPGA device with VHDL in order to interface Cameralink standard linescan CCD camera. In the future, our embedded on-chip controller could be applied to various image processing systems such as medical imaging, especially optical coherence tomography, machine vision and industrial electronics.

  • This study implemented an FPGA-based system to extract PCB defect patterns. The FPGA-based system can perform pattern matching at high speed for vision automation. An image processing library that is used to extract defect patterns was also implemented in IPs to optimize the system. The IPs implemented are Camera Link IP, Histogram IP, VGA IP, Horizontal Projection IP and Vertical Projection IP. In terms of hardware, the FPGA chip from the Vertex-5 of Xilinx was used to receive and handle images that are sent from a digital camera. This system uses MicroBlaze CPU. The image results are sent to PC and displayed on a 7inch TFT-LCD and monitor.

  • 온도에 따른 반도체 에너지갭의 변화를 디지털 영상처리를 이용해 직접 측정하는 적외선 영상기법을 제안하고 있다. 본 방법은 반도체 에너지갭의 온도계수를 경제적이고 간단하게 평가할 수 있도록 한다. 본 기법의 핵심 구성 부품은 다색광원기(Polychromator), 프레임 그래버가 내장된 컴퓨터 및 가변 온도 저온유지장치(Cryostat)이다. 방법의 타당성을 검증하기 위해 LEC 방법으로 제조한 GaAs에 시험적으로 행한 실험은 온도 계수가 이론 모델에서 구한 값과 전반적으로 잘 일치함을 보여 주었다.

  • Conventional stereo image acquisition uses a pair of frame grabbers in the CAS(Computer Assisted Surgery) system. In this Paper, we developed a synchronized stereo image acquisition method with only one frame grabber Two images from left and right camera each other. were merged with different color space without time delay and thus only one frame grabber was enough toy stereo image. Due to this synchronous Property of image acquisition, we can improve spatial revolution on the computation of 3D Position. Furthermore the overall costs for 3D navigator can be down and the extraction time of stereo Position tan be shortened.

  • 본 논문은 자동으로 볼트를 검사할 수 있는 장치에 대한 시스템 설계 및 제품 개발에 관해 다룬다. 볼트를 연속적으로 검사하기 위해 컨베이어를 이용하고 이를 동작시키기 위한 서보모터와 엔코더를 부착하여 정확한 이송량를 유지하게 된다. 엔코더 신호를 수신한 라인스캔 카메라의 동작에 따라 프레임 그래버로 볼트 영상을 전송하며 한 프레임을 구성한 후 영상 검사 알고리즘에 의해 파라메터를 측정하고 검사하게 된다. 제작된 결과물을 이용하여 실험을 통해 본 장치의 효용성을 입증하고자 한다.

  • An infrared imaging method in which direct measurement of energy gap variations can be achieved by digital image processing is proposed. This method allows economic and easy evaluation of the temperature coefficients of a semiconductor energy gap. The key components of the method are a polychromator, a computer equipped with a frame grabber and a variable temperature cryostat. Tentative experimentation conducted on LEC grown semi-insulating GaAs has resulted in a fairly good agreement with the theoretical model. This proposed method could be applicable for most compound semiconductors.

  • Increased energy costs have placed demands for improved combustion efficiency, high equipment availability, low maintenance and safe operation. Simultaneously low NOx modification, installed due to stricter environmental legislations, require very careful combustion management. The flame diagnostics system has been developed specially to meet these requirements. We aimed at gaining the relationship between burner flame image and emissions such as NOx and unburned carbon in furnace by utilizing the image processing method. For the first step of development, its possibility test was undertaken with bench furnace. The test proceeded to the second step with pilot furnace, the system was observed to be effective for evaluating the combustion conditions.

  • 본 논문에서는 인터넷 기반의 이동로봇의 원격제어를 위한 시스템의 효율적인 구성을 제안하고 구현한다. 구현된 원격제어 시스템의 인터페이스로 일반적인 웹 브라우저를 사용하며, 이동로봇의 제어용 서버와 이동로봇의 감시용으로 외부에 설치된 CCD 카메라 제어용 서버의 효율적인 구성을 위해, 기존의 Unix나 PC상에서 구현되었던 제어용 서버를 내장형 웹 서버로 대체한다. 외부에 설치된 CCD 카메라의 영상은 프레임 그래버로 전송되며 전송된 영상은 Microsoft Visual C++ 프로그램 언어를 사용하여 할당된 메모리에 저장한다. 저장된 영상은 클라이언트 풀 기술(client pull technique)을 이용하여 웹 브라우저를 통해 직접 보여줌으로써 현장의 실시간 감시가 가능하도록 한다.

  • In this paper we deal with the system design and development of the high-speed automatic precision inspection for the defects of bolts. In order to inspect bolts continuously, we used the conveyor system. Also, this conveyor includes the servo motor and encoder to achieve accurate movement. According to encoder signal, line-scan camera captures the line-by-line image of bolts and after one frame is accumulated, various parameters are calculated and inspected by image processing algorithms. Experimental results using the developed facilities are presented to demonstrate the efficiency of the proposed equipment.
