This paper analyzed features of Korean entertainment program formats exported to Asia mostly with that of top 100 Global entertainment program formats exported globally in order to explore Korean entertainment program formats to export globally. Two groups of entertainment program were analyzed in three ways, program category, cast, and material. Regarding program category, quiz game programs showed highest exportation in Global top 100 formats while only 14.3% of Korean entertainment formats exported. As for the cast members, Korean formats prefer well-known celebrities. On the other hand, Global formats produce programs featuring non-famous, ordinary people. Moving on to material of each formats, Global formats focus on puzzle/riddle whereas, Korean formats mainly focus on music/dance and family/parenting. These results indicate that Korean entertainment programs contain strong cultural aspects which generate disadvantages on exportation of these programs, compared to Global entertainment programs. In conclusion, to export Korean entertainment program formats globally, quiz game format with ordinary people and using materials that delivers less cultural aspects are need to be developed.

최근의 프로그램들은 크기가 커지고 기능이 복잡해짐에 따라 모듈화된 구조를 지니고 있다. 프로그램 모듈화는 프로그램의 설계, 제작, 유지보수, 코드의 재사용 부분에서 많은 장점을 가지며 라이브러리라는 개념을 통해 이루어진다. 현재 임베디드 기기를 위한 가상기계인 EVM은 라이브러리 개념의 모듈화를 지원하고 있지 않다. EVM에서 동작하는 프로그램의 모듈화를 도입하기 위해선 라이브러리를 나타내는 아카이브 파일 포맷이 요구되며, 아카이브 파일을 다루기 위한 아카이버와 링커 등의 도구가 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 EVM 프로그램의 모듈화를 위한 아카이브 파일 포맷을 설계하였다. 본 논문의 아카이브 파일 포맷은 유사한 개념의 아카이브 파일 포맷을 분석하여 기본구조를 설계하였으며, EVM 환경에 필요한 특징을 반영하였다. 아카이브 파일 포맷의 설계를 통하여 추후 EVM에서 동작하는 프로그램을 라이브러리화할 수 있는 기반을 만들었다. 이를 바탕으로 프로그램 모듈화를 완성할 것이다.

The amount of format sales of Korean programs in China is increasing rapidly. In particular, Chinese media companies insist not only to buy format bible but also to coproduce with Korean production companies. Korean production staff also rush to go to China by calling of Chinese nig media companies. Therefore, we will study the characteristics of formar sales of Korean variety program in China. For this, we will analyse cases of format sales in China during 7 years and find out the types and process of format sales.

Recently broadcasting production companies have imported a number of broadcast program formats to get ideas quickly and easily. The term format in broadcasting industry is defined as a paper form which includes principal elements throughout each episode of the series in a program to keep consistency. In case of the quiz program titled 1:100 which is being aired in Korea, the domestic company imported the format and produced to broadcast in Korea. In other words, a format includes components of the inherent creative ideas and proposals needed in production a program. The study proposed a web based collaborative system that many users create the format for the broadcast program together. the system is constructed to combine creative ideas to making them a format. Also, production experts will take advantage of the system.

This study analyzed the influence of the format import of Korean entertainment programs on the Chinese broadcasting industry. To this end, an in-depth interview was conducted with the production staff of Chinese broadcasting stations. As a result of the analysis of this study, it was found that the format and production method of Chinese entertainment programs began to change from the time the format of Korean entertainment programs was imported.

One of the most notable changes in entertainment programs has been the gamification since 1991. The comparative analysis of 255 weekend entertainment programs run by terrestrial broadcasters between 1991 and 1998 and between 2008 and 2014 indicates that entertainment programs have emigrated from the variety format to the reality, and that adopted entangled plots than interwoven ones more and more, using mission performances and competition heavily. Further, even within the reality format, different competitive factors and plot composition are adding the diversity in the end results immensely. The interaction among the gamification, plots and competitive factors is quite likely to drive creative changes in the broadcast formats in the years to come.

최근 국제영상견본시에 콘텐츠 거래담당자들의 참여가 점차 증가하고 있어 방송프로그램 포맷 거래에 필요한 요인들을 통해 해당 콘텐츠 거래담당자의 인식이 중요한 콘텐츠 거래에 작용하고 있다. 이러한 방송프로그램포맷의 거래가 더욱 활성화되고 있는 환경에서 방송프로그램 포맷 거래요인에 따라 콘텐츠 담당자들의 인식에 어떠한 상관관계가 있는지 확인함으로써 향후 국내 방송사들과 방송사업자들 그리고 관련산업 종사자들에게 글로벌 범위의 방송프로그램 포맷 거래에 있어서 전략적인 방송영상 콘텐츠 거래에 우위를 차지할 수 있는 실용적인 자료로 활용되고자 한다.

In the age of media convergence the influx of foreign TV content is quickly influencing the landscape of Korean media. The objective of this research is to analyze and explore the localization and Koreanization of Master Chef USA into Master Chef Korea and how its successful adaptation, transformation, and localization was made possible. The study pays close attention to TV personalities' relationships, behaviors and communication skills along with the choice of food ingredients and themes in the 2014 episodes for both Master Chef USA and Master Chef Korea. Furthermore, the research seeks to challenge the widely spread belief that localization of foreign TV content serves the public interest. Rather it seeks to articulate that depending on the media environment, private entities are becoming the benefactors of foreign TV content adaptations.

가상 기계 개념은 목적 기계에 영향을 받지 않는 컴파일러의 중간언어로부터 시작되었다. 즉, 기존에는 실행 프로그램이 하드웨어와 운영체제에 종속적이었으나 가상 기계는 플랫폼 독립을 가능하게 한다. 임베디드 시스템이란 전용 동작을 수행하거나 또는 특정 임베디드 소프트웨어 응용 프로그램과 함께 사용되도록 디자인된 특정 컴퓨터 시스템 또는 컴퓨팅 장치를 말한다. 임베디드 시스템을 위한 가상 기계 기술은 모바일 장치와 디지털-TV 등에 탑재할 수 있는 핵심 기술과 다운로드 솔루션을 이용한 동적인 실행 기술이 요구된다. 또한 컨텐츠 개발을 쉽게 하기 위해서 다양한 언어를 지원하고 언어들 간의 통합이 가능하다. 본 논문에서는 클래스 파일 포맷, PE 파일 포맷 등 기존의 가상 기계를 위한 파일 포맷들의 분석을 기반으로 하여 임베디드 시스템을 위한 실행 파일 포맷인 EVM 파일 포맷을 제안한다. EVM 파일 포맷은 언어 통합을 지원하고 구조가 간결하며 확장이 용이한 특징을 지닌다. 또한 메타데이터와 중간언어(SIL)가 서로 독립적으로 구성되어 분석이 쉽고 타입 체크가 괸리한 구조이다.

This study reviews the so-called 'format-export' of Korean TV entertainment programs to China, and ahalyze its effect on the spread of Hallyu in China. Format export has developed as an alternative for the export of Korean TV programs when the Chinese government restrict the broadcasting of foreign TV programs. In so doing, the study conducted surveys about the format-exported programs in Shanghai and Zhengzhou with the sample of 381 university students. The survey shows that the popularity of entertainment programs is so high as to compete with the popularity of K-pop. Respondents in Zhengzhou tend to watch format-exported programs first and then try to watch original Korean programs, while respondents in Shanghai are more likely to watch original Korean programs. This results suggest that format-export can help the spread of Hallyu in the inland local cities in China.
