Quality evaluation of beef carcasses is an important issue in the livestock industry. Recently, through the AI monitor system based on artificial intelligence, the quality manager can receive help in making accurate decisions based on the analysis of beef carcass images or result information. This artificial intelligence dataset is an important factor in judging performance. Existing datasets may have different surface orientation or resolution. In this paper, we proposed a two-stage classification model that can efficiently manage the grades of beef carcass image using deep learning. And to overcome the problem of the various conditions of the image, a new dataset of 1,300 images was constructed. The recognition rate of deep network for 5-grade classification using the new dataset was 72.5%. Two-stage evaluation is a method to increase reliability by taking advantage of the large difference between grades 1++, 1+, and grades 1 and 2 and 3. With two experiments using the proposed two stage model, the recognition rates of 73.7% and 77.2% were obtained. As this, The proposed method will be an efficient method if we have a dataset with 100% recognition rate in the first stage.
This study identified how users of Gwanghwamun Square perceive the space and derived the spatial attributes of Gwanghwamun Square. There are four spatial attributes of Gwanghwamun Square: preservation of the historical environment, beauty of the surrounding landscape, suitability as a resting place, and activation of recreation. The first attribute, preservation of the historical environment, refers to the spaces that reflect the unique characteristics of Gwanghwamun Square and resonate with culture, including the Blue House, Bukaksan Mountain, Gyeongbok Palace, Yukjo Street, King Sejong, and Yi Sun-sin. The second attribute, beauty of the surrounding landscape, is related to the provision of abundant greenery and natural environment without disturbing the surrounding landscape, and includes landscape, sky, and greenery. The third attribute, suitability as a resting place, refers to various landscape facilities and services to enhance visitor comfort, including tables, chairs, shade, planters, rest areas, and fountains. Finally, recreational activation. This is the provision of various experiences, including exhibitions, performances, experiences, and sightseeing. Utilizing the attributes of Gwanghwamun Plaza derived from this study, it will provide important implications for the reconstruction of Gwanghwamun Plaza if future studies on valuation and estimation of Gwanghwamun Plaza are conducted to verify the differences in preferences by type.
Background: The need for an investigation into the hygiene and awareness of hairdressers regarding Corona infection has emerged. Purpose: To investigate the level of interest in health and hygiene of hairdressers and their awareness of COVID-19. Methods: A questionnaire survey was conducted with hairdressers located in Daejeon Metropolitan City. The SPSS 26.0 program analyzed a total of 260 collected questionnaires. Results: The interest in the health and hygiene of hairdressers showed a statistically significant difference according to age, educational background, job title, type of hairdresser, and years of service. The hairdresser's risk and degree of awareness of COVID-19 were higher in those in their 30s or older, managers, medium-sized stores, and ten years of service. In terms of optimism about Corona, it was found to be high among those in their 20s, assistant staff, large stores, and less than five years of service. In addition, there was a positive (+) correlation between health care concerns, hand hygiene and mask hygiene, and awareness of corona risk and optimism. Conclusions: The level of health and hygiene interest and awareness of hairdressers significantly increased according to age, educational background, job title, type of hairdresser, and length of service. Therefore, it evaluated that this result would serve as primary data for research in this field.

Performance measurement and evaluation is a critical issue in public funded civil infrastructure projects in recent years. As a results, Korean government has introduced the related policies and regulations based on the foreign cases to evaluate public construction projects. However, construction circumstances are different from other countries and the results from adopted regulations are not satisfied. Therefore this research proposes the critical success factors(schedule, cost, productivity, change order, safety, quality) for public construction projects based on previous related research outputs to successfully implement construction performance evaluation. Then, this paper also proposes the weights for the critical success factors. The proposed weights are developed by AHP of construction experts. Furthermore, the paper shows the difference of the weights of the critical success factors by project participants (owner, constructor, engineering, and inspector). This efforts will enhance the ability to develop an effective performance evaluation process and system for public construction projects.
This study aimed to analyze achievement characteristics of Korean students in the results of PISA 2018 science domain. To this end, the characteristics of PISA 2009 to PISA 2018 science were analyzed in terms of the percentage of each performance level and the ratio of male and female by achievement level; in addition, the percentage of correct answers by framework subscale was compared with PISA 2015. The results showed that Korea has a higher percentage of students at the lower level of achievement as compared to the high-ranking countries of PISA, and the ratio of students at the higher level of achievement was lower. On average, the difference in achievement between boys and girls was negligible; however, but at the higher achievement level, the ratio of boys continued to be higher than that of girls. In addition, in the PISA science framework, the percentage of correct answers of the questions corresponding to 'personal' of 'contexts', 'evaluate and design scientific enquiry' of 'competencies', 'epistemic' of 'knowledge', and 'high' of 'cognitive demand' increased; similarly, and achievement improved as compared to PISA 2015. Based on these results of the study, we propose a method for improving teaching and evaluation to foster Korean students' scientific competence.

In this study, we investigated the effects of coteaching science instruction in elementary science-gifted education upon students' concept application ability and their perception of the instruction. Fifth graders (N=37) from two science-gifted classes in two elementary schools were selected and assigned to control (n=19) and coteaching instruction (CI, n=18) groups. Two teachers prepared, executed, and evaluated together the instructions for science-gifted elementary students during twelve classes in the CI group, and so did one teacher with the same programs in the control group. After the instructions, the students in the two groups were administered with a test of concept application ability. All students in the CI group were also administered with a questionnaire on the perception of the instruction and were deeply interviewed. The results revealed that the scores of those in the CI group were significantly higher than those in the control group in the test on concept application ability. Many students in the CI group perceived the coteaching science instruction positively upon verbal interaction, class management, and cognitive/affective aspects. However, some of them also pointed a few disadvantages of the instruction. Educational implications of these findings are discussed.
Of great importance in food safety culture are the values of an organization regarding food safety that combine the human and material requirements needed to produce safe and hygienic foods. In recent years, efforts have been made to improve the level of implementation of food safety management systems by improving certain cultural elements of food safety. This study investigated the current state of food safety culture in the HMR manufacturing sector. An anonymous survey of 46 HMR manufacturers of various sizes was conducted to evaluate the implementation status of HACCP prerequisite program and food safety culture. The perceived importance of food safety culture factors and their performance were also surveyed. Employees of HMR manufacturers who participated in this survey recognized that the participation of employees and leadership was the most important factor in ensuring food safety. Smaller enterprises are less aware of the importance of such organizational culture. The survey shows that food safety culture indicators in large companies are generally higher than those of small and medium enterprises. Especially, the manager's level of commitment to food safety, resources input, and education and training was significantly higher than that found at small companies (p=0.005). Among the food safety culture evaluation factors, it was found that education and training had significant influence on HACCP prerequisite program performance. Continued employee education and training on food safety and hygiene are important for HMR manufacturers to achieve HACCP certification standards.

Objective : This study aimed to investigate the importance, performance, and educational needs of sensory integration intervention competency for newly employed therapists who use sensory integration intervention. Methods : The general characteristics, importance, performance, and educational needs of sensory integration intervention competency were investigated for therapists with less than three years of experience in sensory integration intervention. Educational needs and rankings were identified through Borich needs analysis. Results : The competency cluster that newly employed therapists perceived as the most important but with the lowest performance level was "Expertise," and the demand of the "Expertise" competency cluster was also the highest in the analysis of educational needs. The difference in importance and performance in all sub-competencies was statistically significant. In the Borich needs analysis, the rank of educational needs was derived as follows: "Evaluation skill" (5.56), "Analysis skill" (5.50), and "Overall knowledge of occupational therapy" (5.47). Conclusion : It was found that the newly employed therapist using sensory integration intervention recognized professional competency as the most important, while also recognizing that their professional competency was low. Accordingly, education to enhance professional competency was most needed. This study presented basic data for the direction of education to strengthen competency in consideration of the educational needs of newly employed therapists.
A Korean-version science curiosity questionnaire (Science Curiosity in Learning Environments [SCILE(15)]) was developed after factor analysis of the Korean-version SCILE(30) questionnaire. Pre-service elementary school teachers were surveyed using the Korean-version SCILE(30), and a factor analysis based on their responses was performed. The factor analysis demonstrated that the Korean-version SCILE(15) consisted of three curiosity factors: a 'science practices' factor, a 'stretching' factor, and an 'embracing' factor. Confirmatory factor analysis of the factor structure revealed correlations between all the factors, thus confirming their commonality as a science curiosity factors. The Cronbach alpha for the reliability of all items in the Korean-version SCILE(15) and of items by factor was greater than 0.700. The Korean-version SCILE(15) was therefore evaluated to be reliable as a science curiosity questionnaire. Pre-service elementary teachers who participated in the survey for the development of the SCILE(15) were aware of the 'science practices', 'stretching', and 'embracing' science curiosity factors. Analysis in a general linear model of the degree of recognition accorded by pre-service elementary teachers to the three science curiosity factors demonstrated significant differences between the curiosity factors in terms of recognition. This cohort of pre-service elementary teachers showed the highest level of recognition of the 'stretching' curiosity factor and the lowest level of recognition of the 'embracing' curiosity factor.
This study was performed to clarify 'jajonshim' which is different from self-esteem in its social representation and concept in Korean society. In order to refine the notion of 'jajonshim', we first referred to literature and short essay on jajonshim and analyzed its cultural meaning and social representation in Korea. As a result, jajonshim was considered necessary condition for human beings in Korean culture. Although jajonshim was not well recognized normally, it became critical when it was threatened by others and considered to be what one must save as well. Furthermore, the ground theory designed by Strauss and Corbin was utilized in order to analyze Korean interviewees' experience of jajonshim. Koreans believed that their jajonshim was injured when others disrespected their values, which consequently produced negative emotions. When their jajonshim was damaged, people also used 3 coping strategies to recover it. Based on the results, jajonshim was distinguished from self-esteem. First, jajonshim is a type of self-awareness people experience when they are disrespected; thus, it is different from self-esteem which is maintained stable regardless of any events or situations. Second, unlike self-esteem which is solely evaluated by oneself, jajonshim is evaluated by other people's point of view. This study shows that jajonshim exists in the context of Korean culture and has significance in clarifying the cognitive structure and experience process of jajonshim.
