Nonlinear Numerical Analysis and Experiment of Composite Laminated Plates (복합재 적층판재의 비선형 수치해석 및 실험)

  • A finite element program using degenerated shell element was developed to solve the geometric, material and combined nonlinear behaviors of composite laminated plates. The total Lagrangian method was implemented for geometric nonlinear analysis. The material nonlinear behavior was analyzed by considering the matrix degradation due to the progressive failure in the matrix and matrix-fiber interface after initial failure. The results of the geometric nonlinear analyses showed good agreements with the other exact and numerical solutions. The results of the combined nonlinear analyses considered both geometric and material nonlinear behaviors were compared to the experiments in which a concentrated force was applied to the center of the square laminated plate with clamped four edges.

Finite Element Analysis for Free Vibration of Laminated Plates Containing Multi-Delamination (다층 층간분리된 적층 판의 유한요소 자유진동해석)

  • In this proposed work, computational, finite element model far multi-delaminated plates will be developed. In the current analysis procedures of multi-delaminated plates, different elements are used at delaminated and undelaminated region separately. In the undelaminated region, plate element based on Mindlin plate theory is used in order to obtain accurate results of out-of-plane displacement of thick plate. And for delaminated region, plate element based on Kirchhoff plate theory is considered. To satisfy the displacement continuity conditions, displacement vector based on Kirchhoff theory is transformed to displacement of transition element. Element mass and stiffness matrices of each region (delaminated, undelaminated and transition region) will be assembled for global matrix.

Free Vibration Analysis of Thermally Buckled Quasi-Isotropic Laminated Plates with Simply Supported Edges (열하중으로 좌굴된 단순 지지 준 등방성 적층판의 자유진동 해석)

  • The free vibrations of thermally buckled, simply supported, symmetrically laminated, rectangular, and quasi-isotropic plates are investigated. The nonlinear postbuckling analysis is performed by the finite element method based on the first order shear deformable plate theory with the use of von Karman type nonlinear strains and the Duhamel-Newman type constitutive law. The postbuckling solutions are used to obtain free vibration responses of buckled plates. Several numerical examples for quasi-isotropic laminated plates are considered. The effects of width-to-thickness ratios and aspect ratios on the free vibration characteristics of buckled plates are investigated.

  • The present study proposes a detection technique for delaminations in a laminated compoiste structure. the proposed technique optimizes the spatial distribution of harmonic excitation so as to magnify the difference in response between the delaminated and intact structures. The technique is evaluated by numerical simulation of two-layered aluminum beams. Effects of measurement and geometric noises are included in the analysis. A finite element model for a delaminated beam, based on the layer-wise laminated plate theory in conjunction with a step function to simulate ddelaminations, is used.

인공위성 전개장치용 테잎힌지 특성 해석

  • 본 논문에서는 인공위성 전개장치용 테잎힌지 특성해석을 수행하고 그 결과에 대하여 분석하였다. 테잎힌지를 이용한 전개장치는 신뢰성이 높고, 형상이 매우 단순하며, 제작단가 또한 저렴하여 우주용 안테나 및 태양전지판에 널리 이용이 되고 있다. 테잎힌지를 이용한 전개장치의 전개특성은 테잎힌지 특성에 의하여 좌우가 되므로 안전성 있는 전개장치 설계를 수행하기 위해서는 가능한 정확한 해석이나 계산이 요구되어진다. 초기에는 쉘 이론등을 바탕으로 테잎힌지의 전개특성을 계산하는 식들이 연구되었으나 테잎힌지의 강한 비선형성 때문에 정확성이 많이 떨어지는 큰 단점이 존재하였다. 이후 많은 연구를 통하여 유한요소모델을 이용한 비선형해석을 통하여 비로소 정확한 전개특성을 해석할 수 있게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 다물체 동역학해석프로그램인 리커다인의 유연체 해석모듈을 이용하여 테잎힌지에 대한 특성해석을 수행하였다. 해석결과 신뢰성 있는 테잎힌지의 전개거동 확인 및 전개특성을 계산할 수 있었다.

  • 목적으로 하는 특정 주파수에서 고출력의 음향에너지를 방사하는 단일음 전자형 수중스피커를 설계$\cdot$제작하고자 한다. 유한요소법과 이론식을 사용하여 진동판의 기계적 공진주파수를 구한 후 이를 토대로 전자형 수중스피커를 제작하였다. 간이수조 및 해상 실험을 통하여 280Hz-285Hz에서 최대 음압이 발생되고, SL을 산출한 결과 162dB로 충분히 높은 음향 출력을 가지므로서 어류 집어용 수중스피커로 적용 가능하다는 것을 확인하였다.

Analysis of Elasto-Plastic Dynamic Behaviour of Plate Subjected to Load by Low Velocity Impact (저속충격 하중을 받는 판의 탄소성 동적거동 해석)

  • In this study a computer program is developed for analyzing the elasto-plastic dynamic behaviors of the plate subjected to line-loading by a low-velocity impactor. The equilibrium equation associated with the Hertzian contact law is formulated to evaluate the transient dynamic behaviour of the impacted plate. Compared with an elastic analysis, the effects of material plasticity are presented. Consequently, in the case of elasto-plastic analysys, impulse decreases, displacements increase and contact time duration is longer than the elastic case for same finite element model. And the time variation of the impacting load is not significant due to the plasticity except at the beginning of impact duration, and the induced stresses of the plate are more realistic.

  • To design and estimate material failures of Type III pressure vessels, which have excellent stability and performance, various modeling techniques have been introduced. This paper provided a hybrid modeling technique composed of ply-based modeling for a cylinder part and laminate-base modeling technique for a dome part for enhancing modeling efficiency. The ply-based modeling technique provided accurate ply stresses directly for predicting material failure, on the other hand, additional manipulations in stress calculations, which may cause some errors, were needed for the case of the laminate-based modeling technique. The ply stresses in fiber, transverse and in-plane shear directions were compared with the corresponding material strengths to predict material failure.

  • This paper has the object of investigating natural frequencies of tapered thick plate, tapered ratio, thick plate's opening size by means of finite element method and providing kinetic design data for mat of building structures. Free vibration analysis that tapered thick plate in this paper. Finite element analysis of rectangular plate is done by use of rectangular finite element with 8-nodes. In order to analysis plate which is varioued of plate thickness. the thickness is varied with 5, 10, 15, 20 and the tapered ratio is applied as 0.0, 0.25, 0.5, 0.75, 1.0 respectively. This paper is analyzed varying thickness by taper ratio.

핵융합로용 초전도 전자석 구조재의 파괴역학적 특성에 관한 연구

  • 국제 열 핵융합로 (International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor) 의 중앙 솔레노이드(solenoid) 초전도 전자석의 피복관 (conduit) 으로서 가장 유력한 후보 재료인 니켈-철 기저 초합금에 대한 개선된 파괴역학적 거동 예측 모형을 개발하기 위하여 피로균열 성장과 파괴 인성 치의 측정이 사용되었다. 유한 요소법을 사용하는 상용 구조해석 코드인 ANSYS 제 5.2판에 의해 초전도 전자석 피복관 재료에 대한 탄소성 파괴역학적 거동을 살펴보았다. 정확한 파괴 기준을 개발하기 위하여 삼차원 J 적분 인자에 의한 결과를 사용하였다. 얇은 피복관재의 경우에 절대온도 4도에서의 적합한 파괴 인성치는 실제 단면효과를 고려한 표면균열 인장시험 결과를 토대로 J 적분으로 도출한 150 MPaㆍm$^{1}$2/ 로 제시되었다.
