하이포 트로코이드 기어 펌프의 건식 마멸 최적설계 (Optimal Wear Design for a Hypotrochoidal Gear Pump without Hydrodynamic Effect)

  • A disadvantage in the design of a hypotrochoidal gear pump as in a gerotor pump is a lack of parts that can be adjusted to compensate for wear in the rotor set, and as a consequence, it causes a sharp reduction of volumetric efficiency. In this paper, an attempt has been made to reduce the wear rate between the rotors of a hypotrochoidal gear pump. Using the knowledge of shape design on the rotors, the contact stresses without hydrodynamic effect between the rotors' teeth are evaluated through the calculation of the Hertzian contact stress. Based on the above result and the sliding velocity between the rotors, a genetic algorithm (GA) is used as an optimization technique for minimizing the wear rate proportional factor (WRPF). The result shows that the wear rate or the WRPF can be reduced considerably, e.g. approximately 12.8% in this paper, throughout the optimization using GA.

  • 하이포 트로코이드 기반의 CRG(Cam ring gear) 시스템은 핀 또는 롤러 치형을 가지는 기어와 공액인 캠 링기어로 구성된 내접기어 시스템이다. 본 논문에서는 CRG 시스템의 엄밀 치형설계를 바탕으로 기어 치면에서의 접촉특성을 분석하였으며 형상설계변수인 치형수정계수에 따른 기어의 내구수명을 검토하였다. 결과적으로 치형수정계수의 증가를 통해 기 설계된 CRG 시스템에 영향을 미치지 않으면서 기어의 접촉 피로수명을 향상시킬 수 있다.

트로코이드 기어의 단조 해석 (Analysis for forging of trochoidal gears)

  • This paper describes forging of trochoidal gears, which are being widely used in timing belt pulley, pump pulley etc., as a series of development of the simulator for non-axisymmetric elements. Kinematically admissible velocity fields for forging of trochoidal gear were proposed and the loads were calculated by numerical method. When the simulation was carried out, half pith of gear was divided into 6 deformation regions which have different velicity fields by assumptions and boundary conditions. The neutral surface was introduced into forging of trochoidal gears with flat punch and, for each step, it is assumed as a circle with its radius r$_{n}$. The experimental set-up was installed in 200 ton hydraulic press for forging. The billets, of A1 2218 aluminum alloy, were slightly phosphate-coated. It was shown that thd theoretical solutions, as upper bound, are useful to predict the forging load for forging of trochoidal gears, because thdt give estimates that are substantially higher than experimental loads.s.

기어류 부품의 단조에 관한 상계해석 (Upper Bound Analysis on the Forging of Gear-Like Components)

  • This paper describes the method that can construct kinematically admissible velocity fields for forging of gear-like components which have tooth shape around the cylinder. The kinematically admissible velo- city fields for the various gear-like components, involute spur gear, trapezoidal spline, square spline, ser- ration and trochoidal gear, were constructed by pilling up the velocity components according to the shape of tooth and billet. The billets, of hollow and solid, were Al 2218 and 2024. To verify the method, the analyses and experiments were carried out and compared with each other. For analyses, the half pitches of com- ponents were divided into several deformation regions based on their tooth profile. A neutral surface was used to represent the inner flow of material during forging. Its location varied with the energy optimazation and its contour varied with the number of teeth. In experiment, the contour of material filling up the tooth zone is hyperbolic curve caused by the frictional drag on the interface of die-wall/workpiece but, in the analysis, it is an arc which retains the same contour during all forging operation.

트로코이드 기어를 이용한 속도제한 안전바퀴 개발 (Development of Speed Limit Safety Wheel used by Trochoid Gear)

  • Industrial products developed in recent years have focused on usability and stability. Especially, for the products used in daily life, steady efforts have been made to secure the safety. Among them, the products equipped with wheels such as strollers, shopping carts, and carriers can occur the safety accidents by unintended over speed at a ramp. Therefore, development of speed limit device is required to prevent such accidents. However, the existing speed limit devices are very expensive and have a complex drive principle, so it's generally difficult to apply them. In this study, a simple speed limit wheel is suggested which can replace the previous complex and inconvenient speed limit devices. The developed speed limit wheel can be simply applied to existing products by changing the wheels. In addition, it has an advantage to operate only by mechanical mechanism without power supply. Thus it can minimize the cost and waste of resources. For this purpose, the operating condition of the target products was analyzed, and trochoid gear mechanisms were selected for the speed limit. Based on this, finite element analysis was conducted to estimate the operating mechanism. After the prototype of the wheel was produced, the performance under various conditions was tested and has been improved.

인벌류우트-트로코이드 치형을 갖는 타원계 엽형기어의 최소잇수에 관한 연구 (Minimum Tooth Number of Elliptical Gears with Involute-Trocoidal Profile)

  • This present paper describes a mathematical model of profile shifted elliptical gears, and this model is based on the concepts of envelope theory and conjugate geometry between the blank and the straight-sided rack cutter. The geometric model of the rack cutter includes working regions generating involute curves and fillets for trocoidal curves, and furthermore the addendum modified coeff. is considered for avoiding undercutting. The addendum modified coeff. is changed linearly along with pitch curves and must be the same absolute value at both major semi-axis and minor semi-axis. If undercutting is at all pronounced, the undercut tooth not only are weakened in strength, but lose a small portion of the involute adjacent to the base circle, then this loss of involute may cause a serious reduction in the length of contact. A very effective method of avoiding undercutting is to use the so-called profile shifted gearing. Non-undercutting condition is examined with the change of eccentricity and addendum modified coeff. in elliptical gears and then the minimum number of tooth is proposed not to gernerate undercutting phenomenon.

  • Since a tower crane is too high for a worker to ascend and by the wind in the high altitude, the possibility of a safety accident is very high, a lift assist is used. In this study, the hydraulic fall prevention device using the pressure generation device by Seok, et al. was developed. For this, the effects on the fall prevention performances of factors such as gear clearance, oil viscosity, rotative velocity and so on were evaluated by the analysis of fluid flow using FEM and the prototype was producted and a function test was performed.
