The purpose of this study was to suggest an extensive and evolved conceptual model of community dance reflecting new tendencies, practice, and various values. For the purpose, efforts were made to categorize common properties based on various cases using qualitative data collection about 10 community dance specialists. The Practice of Community theory of Wenger(1991) has contributed to conceptualization including the new perspective on community dance, which has been the theoretical framework. The result was summarized as follows : First, 50 percents of the experts thought pure dance works and popular dance works should be protected by same standard, while 45 percents of the experts suggested different standard. Second, 55 percents of the experts claimed required fixation on certain medium, while 40 percents did not claim required fixation but only expression. Requirement of originality was to independently create choreography and to reflect creative characteristic(65%). 70 percents of experts were positive on defining dance choreography as independent work, while 25 percents were negative. Elements of the choreography protection scope were in following order of importance: pattern of movement, creative and concrete plot, combination of movements and steps, and movement pattern with specific space. Third, methods for the protection of dance copyright in hierarchical classification were in following order of importance : 'copyright education', 'activation of organization of dance copyright trust management', 'choreography registration' and 'inducement of social concern. The purpose of this study was to understand barriers and problems associated with physical activity of older adults in a small town and to provide improvement plans based on socio-ecological model. This study employed three independent phases including survey, accelerometer study, and photovoice. Three phases were analyzed based on nesting design among diverse mixed method designs. Among 134 older participants, 73 older individuals reported that their physical activity per week was less than 150min in the first phase. Among the 73 older individuals, 40 older individuals participated in the second phase. In the second phase, 32 older individuals does not meet at least 150min of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity(MVPA) suggested by DHHS. Finally, 6 older adults participated in the third phase. Five major themes emerged including 1) lack of proper information and service regarding physical activity, 2)lack of support from people close to them, 3)some limits due to chronic disease, 4)lack of appropriate facility, and 5)lack of opportunity due to existing inactive lifestyle. Based on these five themes, this study attempted to provide the improvement plans with socio-ecological model.
The purpose of this study is to examine the association between resistance exercise frequency, muscular strength, and health-related quality of life in Korean cancer patients. We performed complex sample general linear model and logistic regression analysis using data from a total of 647 cancer patients in the 2014~2016 Korean National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES). Participants who were participating in resistance exercise 0~1 day per week had lower EQ-5D index (0.852±0.016 vs. 0.890±0.020; p=0.006) and a significantly higher risk of having problems in mobility (Odd ratio[OR]=4.07; 95% confidence interval [CI]=1.31-12.63) compared to those who were participating in resistance exercise ≥ 5 days per week. Participants with low hand-grip strength had lower EQ-5D index (0.850±0.018 vs. 0.911±0.016; p<0.001) and a significantly higher risk of having problems in mobility (OR=4.94, 95% CI=2.14-11.41), usual activities (OR=5.18, 95% CI=1.56-17.14), and pain/discomfort (OR=2.46, 95% CI=1.33-4.55) compared to those with high hand-grip strength. This study showed that resistance exercise frequency and muscular strength were associated with health-related quality of life in Korean cancer patients.

The purpose of this study was to examine the association between resting heart rate (RHR) and the prevalence of colorectal cancer in Korean adults. A cross sectional analysis was performed using the Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (2005 to 2014). Total number of subjects were 10,564 adults aged over 19 years. The results showed that individuals in the highest quartile of RHR had a significantly higher prevalence of colorectal cancer (Odds ratio (OR) 2.27, 95% confidence interval (CI): 1.34-3.85 to OR 3.00, 95%CI: 1.30-6.92) compared to those in the lowest quartile. Futhermore, every 10 beat per minutes (bpm) increase in RHR was associated with 27% (95%CI: 1.03-1.58) increased prevalence of colorectal cancer. In addition, after stratification by age and gender, the result showed that older people (>65 years) in the highest quartile of RHR had a significantly higher prevalence of colorectal cancer compared to those who were in the lowest quartile of RHR. (male OR 3.19, 95%CI: 1.10-9.24 to OR 3.38, 95%CI: 1.18-9.73; female OR 2.90, 95%CI: 1.13-7.42 to OR 5.59, 95%CI: 1.20-25.99). In this study, we examined the feasibility of RHR as a predictive factor of colorectal cancer prevalence. Moreover, we found that RHR was closely related to the prevalence of colorectal cancer in the age of over 65 years.

The purpose of this study was to compare the duplication problem of achievement standards between science and other subjects in the 2009 Revised National Curriculum and to search for solutions and implications for this problem. From the results of this study, we found that the achievement standards of practical arts, social studies, physical education and ethics were overlapped with science's ones. The duplication of content elements for 'our body and health', 'living things and environment', 'biodiversity' and 'natural disaster' categories was not high, that is, their achievement standards were relatively well-differentiated and reflected the intrinsic characteristic of each subject under common topics. But, in case of 'reproduction and development' and 'world of technology' categories, the problem of duplications was serious. In order to cope with this problem, we need to consider solutions such as merging or integrating the achievement standards of related subjects. The relevant experts should conduct in-depth discussion and negotiation, and develop achievement standards more consistent with the identity of each subject.
The purpose of this study is to analyze the problems facing the youth soccer league(i-league) and present their development directions. The study method used focus group interviews. The results of the study are summarized into three: First, promotion and regional league operation were highlighted as problems of i-League and the solution was the unification system of the Korean Olympic Committee(KOC) and the Korea Football Association(KFA), and the operation of each region by itself. Second, issues resulting from the integration of youth club league and i-league were revealed as level differences by teams and leak of the motivation for winning. Operation of the elevating system was proposed as a solution, and such as fare play team award, voluntary activity team award will derive important virtues for youth. Third, KOC and KFA need additional support for various environments and administrative areas such as facility security, training for leaders and officials, and registration of players.
