Human Health Risk, Environmental and Economic Assessment Based on Multimedia Fugacity Model for Determination of Best Available Technology (BAT) for VOC Reduction in Industrial Complex (산업단지 VOC 저감 최적가용기법(BAT) 선정을 위한 다매체 거동모델 기반 인체위해성·환경성·경제성 평가)

  • Determination of Best available technology (BAT) was suggested to reduce volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in a petrochemical industrial complex, by conducting human health risk, environmental, and economic assessment based on multimedia fugacity model. Fate and distribution of benzene, toluene, ethylbenzene, and xylene (BTEX) was predicted by the multimedia fugacity model, which represent VOCs emitted from the industrial complex in U-city. Media-integrated human health risk assessment and sensitivity analysis were conducted to predict the human health risk of BTEX and identify the critical variable which has adverse effects on human health. Besides, the environmental and economic assessment was conducted to determine the BAT for VOCs reduction. It is concluded that BTEX highly remained in soil media (60%, 61%, 64% and 63%), and xylene has remained as the highest proportion of BTEX in each environment media. From the candidates of BAT, the absorption was excluded due to its high human health risk. Moreover, it is identified that the half-life and exposure coefficient of each exposure route are highly correlated with human health risk by sensitivity analysis. In last, considering environmental and economic assessment, the regenerative thermal oxidation, the regenerative catalytic oxidation, the bio-filtration, the UV oxidation, and the activated carbon adsorption were determined as BAT for reducing VOCs in the petrochemical industrial complex. The suggested BAT determination methodology based on the media-integrated approach can contribute to the application of BAT into the workplace to efficiently manage the discharge facilities and operate an integrated environmental management system.

A Research on Park Jae-sam's Sijo with Emphasis on his Methods of Creating Poetic Images and the Process of Creating New Ideas (박재삼 시조의 이미지 구현방식과 의미화 과정 연구)

  • The purpose of this article is to shed light on the position and the importance of sijo (Korean traditional poetic form of Three-Line Stanzas) of the Korean poet Park Jae-sam among Korean sijo writers. Even though Park Jae-sam started his career as a poet writing two sijos and a poem, he began to write more poems than sijos later on. Anyway his interest in sijo writing has continued and he has served as a judge of sijo writing contests ever since. Especially in 1985, he published a collection of sijo. And each sijo writing in this collection are composed of three-line stanzas and each stanza of three lines. And each line has a rhythmic sound with a formal word formation. This article reveals that Park Jae-sam has pursued a happy unity of form and content in his sijo writings from the collection and that he has tried his hardest to realize this goal. This article notes that for this goal he puts stress on some methods of creating poetic images and the process of creating new ideas, the unity of Koreans's unique emotion of han(恨) and a sense of eternity, transcendence through ambivalent emotions, and the structure of statement mainly made of juxtaposed metaphors. And this articles also notes that as a most sincere lyric poet in the history of sijo he is much distinguished from other Korean poets in that he depicts mainly Koreans's unique emotions and their characteristics.

  • 토양수분은 식물의 생장 및 가용수자원 산정 등에 있어서 중요한 요소로서 토양층 상부의 수 m내에 존재하는 수분의 양을 일컫는다. 토양수분과 토양수분의 공간적 시간적 특징들은 증발, 침투, 지하수 재충전, 토양침식, 식생 분포 등을 지배하는 중요한 요소이다. 강우 등으로 인한 지면과 지표하에서의 순간적인 포화공간의 형성 및 유출의 생성 등을 포함하는 과정과 증발산 등은 모두 비포화대(vadose zone) 혹은 토양층에서의 토양수분의 함량에 크게 의존하게 된다(이가영 등(2005)). 분포형 수문모형은 유역을 격자단위로 세분화하여 매개변수를 부여하고, 증발산, 침투, 지표면유출, 중간유출, 지하수유출, 하도 흐름 등 여러 가지 수문요소를 해석하는 종합적인 수문모형이다. 지표면에 내린 강우가 증발, 침투, 유출될 지는 토양수분의 함량에 크게 의존하게 되며, 따라서 토양수분에 대한 적절한 모의가 분포형 수문모형의 정확도를 좌우하는 핵심이라 할 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 분포형 수문모형인 WEP 모형을 경안천 유역(유역면적: $575km^2$, 유로연장: 49.3㎞)에 적용하여 토양수분의 시공간분포를 모의하였다. 지점별 토양수분 모의결과, 토양 매개변수의 최대, 최소값 내에서 적절히 모의됨을 확인하였으나, 관측값이 없어 실질적으로 타당한지 여부는 검증하지 못하였다. 토양수분비율, 연간 증발산량, 지표면 유출량 공간분포를 비교한 결과, 토양수분비율이 연간 증발산량 모의에 직접적인 영향을 주는 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 일부격자에서는 토양수분이 지나치게 높게 모의되었는데, 지하수위와 관련있는 것으로 보이며, 구축된 자료가 부족한 지하대수층에 대한 정보부족이 토양수분 계산에도 영향을 준 것으로 보인다. 본 연구는 WEP 모형의 토양수분 해석능력에 대한 시험적용에 그 의의가 있으며, 향후 토양 및 지표하 매개변수 정보가 충분히 갖추어지고, 토양수분 관측결과 있는 대상유역에 대한 적용이 요구된다.-Moment 방법에 의해 추정된 매개변수를 사용한 Power 분포를 적용하였으며 이들 분포의 적합도를 PPCC Test를 사용하여 평가해봄으로써 낙동강 유역에서의 저수시의 유출량 추정에 대한 Power 분포의 적용성을 판단해 보았다. 뿐만 아니라 이와 관련된 수문요소기술을 확보할 수 있을 것이다.역의 물순환 과정을 보다 명확히 규명하고자 노력하였다.으로 추정되었다.면으로의 월류량을 산정하고 유입된 지표유량에 대해서 배수시스템에서의 흐름해석을 수행하였다. 그리고, 침수해석을 위해서는 2차원 침수해석을 위한 DEM기반 침수해석모형을 개발하였고, 건물의 영향을 고려할 수 있도록 구성하였다. 본 연구결과 지표류 유출 해석의 물리적 특성을 잘 반영하며, 도시지역의 복잡한 배수시스템 해석모형과 지표범람 모형을 통합한 모형 개발로 인해 더욱 정교한 도시지역에서의 홍수 범람 해석을 실시할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 본 모형의 개발로 침수상황의 시간별 진행과정을 분석함으로써 도시홍수에 대한 침수위험 지점 파악 및 주민대피지도 구축 등에 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다. 있을 것으로 판단되었다.4일간의 기상변화가 자발성 기흉 발생에 영향을 미친다고 추론할 수 있었다. 향후 본 연구에서 추론된 기상변화와 기흉 발생과의 인과관계를 확인하고 좀 더 구체화하기 위한 연구가 필요할 것이다.게 이루어질 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.는 초과수익률이 상승하지만, 이후로는 감소하므로, 반전거래전략을 활용하는 경우 주식투자기간은 24개월이하의 중단기가 적합함을 발견하였다. 이상의 행태적 측면과 투자성과측면의 실증결과를 통하여 한국주식시장에 있어서 시장수익률을 평균적으로 초과할 수 있는 거래전략은 존재하므로 이러한 전략을 개발 및 활용할 수 있으며, 특히, 한국주식시장에 적합한 거래전략은 반전거래전략이고, 이 전략의 유용성은 투자자가 설정한 투자기간보다 더욱 긴 분석기간의 주식가격정보에 의하여 최대한 발휘될 수 있음을 확인하였다.(M1), 무역적자의

A Study on the Emotional Reaction to the Interior Design - Focusing on the Worship Space in the Church Buildings - (실내공간 구성요소에 의한 감성반응 연구 - 기독교 예배공간 강단부를 중심으로 -)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the psychological reaction to the image of the worship space in the church buildings and to quantify its contribution of the stimulation elements causing such reaction, and finally to suggest basic data for realizing emotional worship space of the church architecture. For this, 143 christians were surveyed to analyze the relationship between 23 emotional expressions extracted from the worship space and 32 images of the worship space. The combined data was described with the two dimensional dispersion using the quantification theory III. The analysis found out that 'simplicity-complexity' of the image consisted of the horizontal axis (the x-axis) and 'creativity' of the image the vertical axis(the y-axis). In addition, to extract the causal relationship between the value of emotional reaction and its stimulation elements quantitatively, the author indicated 4 emotional word groups such as simple, sublime for x-axis and typical creative for y-axis based on its similarity by the cluster analysis, The quantification theory I was also used with total value of equivalent emotional words as the standard variance and the emotional stimulation elements of the worship space as the independent variance. 9 specific examples of the emotional stimulation elements were selected including colors and shapes of the wall and the ceiling, shapes and finish of the floor materials, window shapes, and the use of the symbolic elements. Furthermore, 31 subcategories were also chosen to analyse their contribution on the emotional reaction. As a result, the color and finish of the wall found to be the most effective element on the subjects' emotional reaction, while the symbolic elements and the color of the wall found to be the least effective. It is estimated that the present study would be helpful to increase the emotional satisfaction of the users and to approach a spatial design through satisfying the types and purposes of the space.

Research Trends of Articles in the Journal of Korean Home Economics Education Association during the Last Decade (2009. 3~2018. 12) (한국가정과교육학회지 게재 논문의 연구동향: 최근 10년간(2009. 3~2018. 12)을 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the structure and contents of the articles in the Journal of Korean Home Economics Education Association to review the research trends during the last decade since 2009. In total, 354 articles from 10 volumes, 40 journal books, were analyzed. This amount to 42.3% of total articles in the JKHEEA for the past 30 years. The results showed that the number of articles in the journal continuously decreased by approximately 5 articles each year. More than half of articles were co-authored as a joint-research between professors and teachers or graduate students. The numbers of pages, tables, figures, and references vary greatly among of the articles published in the JKHEEA. The reviewers and authors would need to check if the pages, tables/figures, or references are indispensable, especially in case there are extremely large number of them. Even though survey research with students as participants is still the most common types of research among recent articles, its percentage is decreasing and diverse research methods such as the analysis of textbook or curriculum literature are being used. Also, research integrating the pedagogy and educational content, and in turn developing and evaluating educational programs is increasing, which indicates that the journal identity has become better-defined. It is advisable that authors select the key words that are more relevant to the title, purpose, and research questions. It is expected that the journal revises the publication regulations so that the issues discussed in this study may be reflected.

A Study of Test-Retest Reliability and Interrater Reliability of the Sensory Processing Scale for Children (SPS-C) (아동감각처리척도(Sensory Processing Scale for Children; SPS-C)의 검사-재검사 신뢰도와 검사자간 신뢰도 연구)

  • Objective : This study examined the test-retest reliability and interrater reliability of the Sensory Processing Scale for Children (SPS-C). Method : Senventy primary caregivers of children with sensory processing difficulties and 3 years old participated in the study. The subjects were recruited through child development centers, welfare centers, and acquaintances located in Seoul, Gyeonggi-do, Busan, and Gyeongsang-do. The test-retest reliability verification targeted 20 main caregivers of children with difficulty in sensory processing. Re-evaluation was performed within 7 to 14 days after the initial evaluation, and Pearson's correlation coefficient was used to confirm the relevance between the two time points, and the Intraclass correlation coefficient was used to confirm the degree of agreement. The interrater reliability verification was conducted with 18 primary caregivers and 18 subsidiary caregivers of children with sensory processing difficulties. Each caregiver evaluated the same child, and the Intraclass correlation coefficient was used to confirm the agreement between the two sets of caregivers. Results : The test-retest reliability was Pearson's correlation coefficient r=.914 and intraclass correlation coefficient ICC=.939, indicating a high level of relevance and agreement. The interrater reliability was an Intraclass correlation coefficient ICC=.727, which showed a moderate level of agreement, but the tactile area (ICC=.455) and proprioceptive area (ICC=.439) were not statistically significant and showed a low degree of agreement. Conclusion : Through this study, it was confirmed that the children's Sensory Processing Scale for Children (SPS-C) is a stable evaluation tool with test-retest reliability and interrater reliability verified, and it will be able to provide help in standardization studies for future clinical use.

CHANGES OF PSYCHOPATHOLOGY AND DEVELOPMENT IN AUTISTIC CHILDREN THROUGH PARENT EDUCATION PROGRAM (부모교육 참여집단과 비참여집단 자폐아동의 행동병리 및 발달기능에 대한 비교연구)

  • The study was to examine the effectiveness of the educational program for the parents of autistic children in promoting the development and amelioration of psychopathology. Behavioral pathology and developmental function of autistic children of two parent groups, parents who participated in educational program and parents who did not participate in that program, were compared before and after partent education program. For these purpose, the data were collected from 30 subjects(15 for participant group and 15 for non-participant group) who were diagnosed as Autism according to DSM-III at Child-Psychiatry of Seoul National University Hospital during May 16, 1987 through April 30, 1988. Pre and post tests by Schopler's Psycho-Educational Profile scale were performed for all of the subjects and the data were analyzed by Wilcoxon Rank Sum test, Wilcoxon Sign Rank test and $X^2-test.$ The results obtained were as follows ; 1) The autistic children of participant group were significantly higher than those of non-participant group after education on Imitation, Gross motor and Eye-hand Integration scale of developmental function area (p<0.05) 2) After education, the autistic children of participant group were significantly improved in Affect and Language scale of behavioral pathology area (p<0.05). 3) After education, the autistic children of participant group were significantly improved in developmental function, such as perception, Fine motor, Gross motor, Eye-hand Integration, Cognitive Performance, Cognitive Language (p<0.05). 4) The autistic children of non-participant group were significantly improved in Relating behavior and developmental functions such as Perception, Fine motor and Eye-hand Integration at post test in comparison to pre test (p<0.05). From these results, it might be concluded that the autistic children of participant group were improved much more, and obtained higher score in developmental function area than those of non-participant group. It is suggested that this kind of education program helped and supported the parents to do some more appropriate approach for the development of their children.

  • Electronic Commerce (EC) is a relatively new and has been attracting a considerable amount of attention. Even though it is still in an introductory stage, growth rates are impressively high and its economic importance will continue to grow. Electronic Commerce is born to be global because its connectivity using the Internet is universal. As Electronic Commerce accelerates the globalization, it will also increase both the interdependence of national economies in different countries and the need for international cooperation and coordination. Electronic Commerce is really a global challenge that requires global solutions. For this reason, Electronic Commerce becomes an important agenda in major international cooperative organizations including APEC, OECD, and G7 (G8). However, current international discussions on Global Electronic Commerce are initiated mostly by the United States and European Union (EU). The objective of this paper is to raise awareness creation activities in which the international cooperation is needed for promoting the global electronic marketplace in Asia. For this purpose, this paper reviews the approaches of U.S. and European countries (or European Union), and suggests an development framework on the basis of the reviews. The framework is used to analyze current issues around Electronic Commerce, and identify some fields which require coherent work among researchers in different countries.

  • To operate the automatic devices of manufacturing process more effectively and to solve the needs of the resource sharing, network technology is applied to the unit control devices located in common manufacturing zone and operated by connecting them. This paper introduces deign and test operation of cell system for the management of multivendor PLC by applying to wall paper process based on the manufacturing standardization of CIM. The analysis of designed multivendor PLC group is performed by selecting the parameters such as variation of data packet size and node number of PLC ladder logic program and variation by analyzing the corresponding variation values of token rotation time and waiting time for the system operation. For the method of the analysis,the equation is considering the overhead such as indicated packet service time and transmission safety margin for PLC network connection in M/G/1 queue model,and it is applied to the cell system and PLC group manage-ment for operation .Through the experiment,it is found that the realtime processing is possible with expanded and better result than the resuit obtained by Jayasumana.Browaka with PLC scan time considered,response lower limit of 10-20 msec. data packet size not more than 50 bytes.and the number of nodes less than 40.

Determine the Length of the Side-Weir of Side-Weir Detention Basin Considering the Uncertainty of the Water Level in River (하천 수위 예측의 불확실성을 고려한 강변저류지 횡월류부 길이 결정 기법)

  • The existing flood protection in rivers has shown the limitation due to the urbanization around rivers and the abnormal climate. Thus, the demand for the constructions of side-weir detention basin are being increased as a part of integrated watershed flood protection plan. It is necessary to estimate the quantitative flood-control effect for including the side-weir detention basin in flood-control measures. For the determination, it is required to reduce the uncertainty of the design factors which can affect the flood-control effect of side-weir detention basin. Among the factors, however, the water level in river always contains uncertainty. Therefore, the design method considering the uncertainty is required. For the reasons, the design method considering uncertainty of the water level in river is suggested in this study with using the length of side-weir which is relatively easy-determinable by designers. Therefore, it is examined how the variation of the length of side-weir can affect the flood-control effect, using HEC-RAS, and then the method to determine the side-weir length considering the uncertainty of the water level in river through results from analyses. Since the uncertainty of the water level in river can be taken into account in the suggested design method, it is evaluated that the design method is more effective to suggest the flood-control effect of the side-weir type detention basin with higher safety side.
