In this paper, the effect of MoSe2 on the contact resistance (RC) of the transparent conducting oxide (TCO) and Mo junction in the scribed P2 region of the Cu(In,Ga)Se2 (CIGS) solar module was analyzed. The CIGS/Mo junction becomes ohmic-contact by MoSe2, so the formation of the MoSe2 layer is essential. However, the CIGS solar module has a TCO/MoSe2/Mo junction in the P2 region due to structural differences from the cell. The contact resistance (RC) of the P2 region was calculated using the transmission line method, and MoSe2 was confirmed to increase RC of the TCO/Mo junction. B doped ZnO (BZO) was used as TCO, and when BZO/MoSe2 junction was formed, conduction band offset (CBO) of 0.6 eV was generated due to the difference in their electron affinities. It is expected that this CBO acts as a carrier transport barrier that disturbs the flow of current, resulting in increased RC. In order to reduce the RC caused by CBO, MoSe2 must be made thin in a CIGS solar module.
The Potential Induced Degradation(PID) in PV module mainly affected by various performance conditions such as a potential difference between solar cell and frame, ambient temperature and relative humidity. The positive charges as sodium ions in front glass reach solar cell in module by a potential difference and are accumulated in the solar cell. The ions accelerate the recombination of generation electrons within solar cell under illumination, which reduces the entire output of module. Recently, it was generally known that PID generation is suppressed by controlling the thickness of SiNx AR coating layer on solar cell or using Sodium-free glass and high resistivity encapsulant. However, recovery effects for module with PID are required, because those methods permanently prevent generating PID of module. PID recovery method that voltage reversely applies between solar cell and frame contract to PID generation begins to receive attention. In this paper, PID recovery tests by using voltage under various outdoor conditions as humidity, temperature, voltage are conducted to effectively mitigate PID in module. We confirm that this recovery method perfectly eliminates PID of solar cell according to repeative PID generation and recovery as well as the applied voltage of three factors mainly affect PID recovery.
In this paper, degradation in field-aged PV modules including degradation of interconnect, discoloration of encapsulant and hot spot have been observed and analyzed. From the results, photovoltaic module installed for 15 years shows around 13~20% drop of electrical properties due to the interconnect degradation and PV module passed 19 years has been found to drop of around 20% mainly by the encapsulant discoloration. Fill factor of the electrode oxidized photovoltaic module has been dropped by the amount of 6~10% due to the change of irradiance. It is because maximum voltage(Vmp) decreases according to the increase of irradiance.
In this paper, maximum output of three different temperature conditions of the photovoltaic modules have been tested and compared to obtain the optimum conditions for the maximum power operation. Temperatures of the cell and module have been set to $20^{\circ}C$, $25^{\circ}C$ and $30^{circ}C$ under the constant light intensity of 1kW/$m^2$. 125${\times}$125mm 36 single crystal solar cells having 80 [W] each have been serially connected in the module. From the results, maximum output deviation of 4.67% has been obtained under the ceil temperature of $20^{\circ}C$ and module temperature of $30^{\circ}C$ while minimum deviation of 0.41${\sim}$0.92% has been measured under the same temperatures of cell and module. Therefore it has been found that the temperature of both cell and module should be fixed to $25^{\circ}C$ to obtain stable data unless the temperature coefficient should be compensated for the testing sample.
In this paper, we studied the influence of EVA sheet gel content on photovoltaic module durability. Depending on thermal curing temperature and time during lamination, there are dramatic changes on chemical and physical characteristics. To find the optimum PV module process condition, Glass/EVA/Back Sheet scheme was made. Gel Content, FT-IR spectrum and SEM were used for the detail analysis. From these results, $110^{\circ}C/6min$ and $130^{\circ}C/4min$ lamination condition could be suggested for the best one for durable PV module processing. The further analysis is described in the following paper.

This study has analysed power output characteristics of transparent thin-film PV module depending on incidence angle and azimuth. The experiment results showed power outputs of transparent thin-film PV module applied to full-scale mock up model on slope of $90^{\circ},\;30^{\circ},\;0^{\circ}$ to the south. The simulation results was evaluated power outputs of transparent thin-film PV module depending on incidence angle and azimuth after calibrating the experimental and computed data. As a result. the best power output performance of transparent thin-film PV module was obtained at slope of $30^{\circ}$ to the south, producing the annual power output of 977kWh/kWp. The annual power output data demonstrated that the PV module with a slope of $30^{\circ}$ could produce a 68 % higher power output than that with a slope of $90^{\circ}$ with respect to the inclined slope of the module, Furthermore, the PV module facing south showed a 22 % higher power output than that facing to the east in terms of the angle of the azimuth, Specipically. the varying power output with incidence angle of PV module can be resulted from the influence of incidence angle modifier of glass on PV module. That is, the solar energy transmission can be reduced as an increase of incidence angle of PV module. Therefore, when the inclined slope of the PV module was over $70^{\circ}$ there was a significant reduction of power output, and this was caused by the decrease of solar energy transmission in the transparent thin-film PV module.
