A single frequency strain mode test, a stress relaxation mode test, and a creep test using RH-DMA were performed to investigate the effects of relative humidity and temperature on the viscous properties of PET film. The relative humidity was 10%, 30%, 50%, 70%, and 90%. The temperature was considered to be 30~95℃ for single frequency strain mode tests, 30℃ and 70℃ for stress relaxation mode test, and 5~95℃ for creep test. According to the results, higher relative humidity results in lower storage modulus and loss modulus, but the maximum value of the loss modulus is not significantly affected by changes in relative humidity and is almost constant. Relaxation modulus decreases rapidly at the beginning and becomes constant, and as the temperature increases, it is susceptible to changes in relative humidity. Strain recovery also increases rapidly at the beginning and is susceptible to changes in relative humidity as the temperature increases. In addition, as the temperature increases, the degree of increase in creep compliance increases, and as the temperature rises above the glass transfer temperature, the degree of increase becomes very large. The master curve determined by the time-temperature superposition provides the information to predict the long-term performance under operating conditions such as relative humidity and temperature.

Techniques and procedures are presented for measuring mechanical properties on thin-film Polysilicon. Narrow platinum lines are deposited 250 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ apart on tensile specimens that are 3.5 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ thick and 600 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ wide. Load is applied by a piezo-actuator and by hanging weights. Strain is measured by an ISDC at temperatures up to 500 $^{\circ}C$. Measurements of the elastic modulus with jig modifications, loading speed and temperature change are presented first. And then, the preliminary data for the coefficient of thermal expansion and creep behavior are presented as a reference.
An object oriented numerical analysis program of axial-flexural elements and the step-by-step method (SSM) has been developed to analyze concrete long-term behaviors of structures constrained internally and externally. The results of the numerical analysis for simple and continuous prestressed (PS) concrete box and composite girders, pre-cast slab of continuous steel composite girder, and simple preflex composite girder show that the adjusting coefficient decreases by increasing constraint. The loss rates of pre-tension force were not sensitive but those of pre-compression force were increased rapidly by decreasing adjusting coefficient. This indicates that the design based on the loss rate of pre-tension can over-estimate the pre-compression force in a concrete section constrained internally and externally. The adjusting coefficients which satisfy results of the numerical analysis are 0.35~0.95, and it can be used as an index of constraint of concrete long-term deformation. The adjusting coefficient 0.5 of Bridge Design Specifications can under-estimate residual stress of PS concrete slab, and the coefficient 0.7 or 0.8 of LRFD Bridge Designing Specifications can under-estimate the loss rates of continuous PS concrete girders. The adjusting coefficient of hybrid structures should be less then 0.4.

The objective of this study is to determine the best material model that represents the deformation behavior of the Sn37Pb solder alloy accurately. First, a specimen is fabricated and subjected to a thermal cycle with temperatures ranging from the room temperature to $125^{\circ}C$. An experiment is conducted to examine deformation by Moire interferometry. Three different constitutive equation models are used in the finite element analysis (FEA) of the thermal cycle. In order to minimize the difference between the FEA results and the experimental results, the material parameters of the solder alloy are considered to be unknown and are determined by conducting optimization. As a result of the study, the Anand model is found to represent the deformation behavior of the solder most accurately.
The reasonable prediction of time-dependent deformation of prestressed concrete(PSC) box girder bridges is very important for accurate construction as well as good serviceability. The long-term behavior is mostly influenced by the probabilistic characteristic of creep and shrinkage. This paper presents a method of statistical analysis and sensitivity analysis of creep and shrinkage effects in PSC box been taken into account - model uncertainty, parameter variation and environmental condition. The statistical and sensitivity analyses are performed by using the numerical simulation of Latin Hypercube sampling. For each sample, the time-dependent structural analysis is performed to produce response data, which are then statistically analyzed. The probabilistic prediction of the confidence limits on long-term effects of creep and shrinkage is then expressed. Three measure are examined to quantify the sensitivity of the outputs of each of the input variables. These are rank correlation coefficient(RCC), partical rank correlation coefficient(PRCC) and standardiozed rank regression coefficient(SRRC) computed on the ranks of the observations. Three creep and shrinkage models - i. e., ACI model. CEB-FIP model and the model in Korea Highway Bridge Specification - are studied. The creep model uncertainy factor and the relative humidity appear to be the most dominant factors with regard to the model output uncertainty.

For RC structures, long-term deformation occurs due to the inherent characteristics, which are creep and shrinkage. In terms of serviceability, it is important to limit deflection caused by the deformation to the allowable deflection. In the recent years, various repair and strengthening methods have been used to improve performance of the existing RC structures. One of the typical methods is FRP externally bonded method (EBR). Fiber reinforced polymer (FRP) has been used worldwide as repair and strengthening materials due to its superior properties. Besides, it has to offer improved strengthening performance not only under instantaneous load but sustained load. Therefore, accurate prediction method of deflection for the RC members externally bonded with FRP under sustained load is required. In this paper, three beams were fabricated. Two beams were externally strengthened with one of CFRP plate and GFRP plate respectively. Total three beams were superimposed under sustained load of 25 kN. During 470 days, deflections at midspan were obtained. Moreover, creep coefficients and shrinkage strains were calculated by using ACI-209 code and CEB-FIP code. In order to predict the deflection of the beams, EMM, AEMM, Branson's method and Mayer's method were used. Through the experiment, it was found that the specimen with CFRP plate has the most flexural capacity and Mayer's method is the most precise method to predict total long-term deflections.

This paper presents the results of accelerated pavement tests (APT) that simulate permanent deformation (rutting) of asphalt concrete pavements under different temperatures and loading courses. Also, finite element (FE) analysis has been conducted to predict the test results. Test section for APT is the same as one of test sections at Korea Expressway Corporation test road and is subjected to a constant moving dual tire wheel load of APT at three different temperatures: 30, 40, $50^{\circ}C$. The moving wheel is applied at different loading courses within a 75cm wide wheel path to account for traffic wandering. Also, the effect of wandering on permanent deformation development is investigated numerically with three wandering schemes. In this study, ABAQUS is adopted to model APT pavement section with plain stain elements and creep strain rate model is used to take into account viscoplastic stain of asphalt concrete mixtures, and elastic layer properties are back-calculated from FWD measurements. Plus, the effect of boundary condition and subgrade on FE permanent deformation predictions is investigated. A full FE model that accounted for subgrade provided more realistic rut depth predictions, indicating subgrade has contributed to surface rutting.
An analytical method to predict the time dependent flexural behavior of composite girder is presented based on sectional analysis. The time dependent constitutive relation accounting for the early-age concrete properties including maturing of elastic modulus, creep and shrinkage is derived in an incremental format by the first order Taylor series expansion. The sectional analysis calculates the axial and curvature strains based on the force and moment equilibriums. The deflection curve of the girder approximated by the quadratic polynomial function is calculated by applying to the proper boundary conditions in the consecutive segments. Numerical applications are made for the 3-span double composite steel box girder which is a composite bridge girder filled with concrete at the bottom of the steel box in the negative moment region. The calculated results are compared with those by finite element analysis results. Close agreement is observed between the two approaches.

To ensure the reliability of DVDR-P and DVD-ROM, it is imperative to remedy the unrecoverable creep deformation and/or relaxation of the holding force of an optical disc holder. To predict the deformation of an optical disc holder, a deformation analysis of an 80 mm optical disc holder considering the creep characteristics of 3 plastic materials has been conducted. Subsequently, the results by this Finite Element Analysis (FEA) are experimentally verified. A disc holder inserted in a cartridge case is kept in a chamber of $60^{\circ}C$ with 90 % humidity for 24 hours. The arm span and the holding force of the disc holder are measured after being left for another 24 successive hours at a room temperature and under normal humidity. The predicted results by FEA are in good agreement with experimentally measured values.
