쌀가루의 입자크기 비율에 따른 품질 특성

  • 쌀가루 제조 후 입자크기 비율에 따른 품질 특성을 검토하였다. 혼합 쌀가루의 색도를 보면 100-200메쉬 사이의 쌀가루 색도에 있어 자기는 유의성을 보이지 않았고 혼합쌀가루가 습식의 함량이 많을수록 쌀가루의 밝기가 증가됨을 나타내었다. 건식과 습식의 비율에 있어 밝기는 유의성을 나타내었지만 a값과 b값의 경우 혼합비율에 유의성을 나타내지 않았다. 혼합쌀가루 역시 입자크기가 작을수록, 건식쌀가루의 혼합 비율이 높을 수록 수분흡수지수(WAI) 및 수분용해지수(WSI)의 값은 높은 경향을 나타내었다. 80메쉬의 혼합쌀가루는 건식쌀가루의 혼합 비율에 상관없이 거의 같은 WAI의 값을 나타내었고, 100-140메쉬의 혼합쌀가루의 WAI 값이 가장 높은 값을 나타내었다. WAI와 WSI의 값은 각각 쌀가루의 수분함량과는 유의적인 연관성은 없는 것으로 나타났으며 각 쌀가루의 입자의 크기와 건식, 습식쌀가루의 종류와 혼합 비율에 따라 변화가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 입자의 크기에 따른 호화엔탈피의 변화는 200메쉬 이하의 입자 크기에서는 큰 영향을 주지 못했으나 200메쉬 이상에서는 호화엔탈피 값에 차이가 있었다. 혼합쌀가루의 경우 입자가 클수록 전분손상도가 낮게 나왔으며 건식쌀가루의 함량이 높을수록 전분손상도가 높게 나타났다.

  • To obtain the basic information that can be used as a factor for explaining the diversity of welders' pneumoconiosis, the authors measured the concentrations of dust according to the size of dust in 71 workplaces of a shipyard where welders' pneumoconiosis have occurred. The concentrations of dust according to the size of dust showed no difference between workplaces regardless of kinds of work.

Formulating the Local Displacement and Local Moments of a Plate Stiffened with Open Ribs According to the Loading Sizes (재하 크기에 따른 개단면 리브 보강판의 국부 처짐과 국부 모멘트의 정형화)

  • In this study, stiffened plates with open ribs are analyzed to estimate and formulate the local displacement and local moments according to square loading sizes. For the local behaviors of plates stiffened with rectangular and reverse T ribs, the ratio functions according to the dimensions of stiffened plates are obtained at each square loading size. Analytical results show that values of the basic stiffened plates are different but the ratio functions of each square loading size are similar and the difference of the ratio functions between rectangular ribs and reverse T ribs are small, so the ratio functions can be unified by integrating the loading sizes regardless of the rib type. The application of the unioned ratio functions to L type ribs and rectangular loading shows good accuracies. Therefore, the local behaviors of plates stiffened with open ribs can easily be obtained by using the unioned ratio functions proposed in this study.

On the Effect of Extended Human Group Scale in Perception of Group Ratio and Size at Majority-biased Social Learning (인구 집단의 스케일의 확장이 집단 비율 및 집단 크기 지각에 미치는 영향: 다수편향적 사회적 정보 활용을 중심으로)

  • New media moved the place of social exchange to the Internet, allowing large groups to communicate in one place beyond the limits of time and space. Recent studies have also reported cases in which human social abilities do not keep up with the expansion of group scale through social media. In this context, current study investigated how human perception of social information is affected by the expansion of the group scale in the context of majority bias. Using Internet-based task, the psychological processes that group ratio and group size are perceived and affect majority-biased social information use were investigated, and whether group scale moderates those processes was examined. The group ratio has a positive effect on the majority bias, and the relationship was partially mediated by ratio perception. Group scale did not moderate the relationship between group ratio and ratio perception. On the other hand, the correlation between group size and majority-biased social information use was not significant. Group scale moderates group size perception. The group size and size perception showed positive correlation under the smaller group scale condition. However under the extended group scale condition, the perceived group size became significantly lower and lost its correlation with group size. These results provide evidence that the psychological mechanism related to group size perception was not properly responding to the expansion of the group scale. Furthermore, the possibility of a specific psychological mechanism for processing group size information and the form of information input specifically accepted by majority bias were discussed from perspective of evolutionary psychology.

Characteristics of Job′s tear gruel by various mixing ratio, particle size and soaking time of Job′s tear and rice flour (쌀가루 및 율무가루의 배합비율, 입자크기 및 수침시간에 따른 율무죽의 특성)

  • The Job's tear gruels were prepared by various mixing ratios, particle size and soaking times of Job's tear and rice flours, and the physical and sensory properties of these gruel samples were measured by using a Brabender visco-amylograph and sensory evaluation. Also, the changes in the pH and viscosity of the gruel samples stored for 14 days at 4$\^{C}$ were measured as the parameters of gruel quality. The results showed that the peak viscosity was decreased by increasing the ratio of Job's tear flours. The values of peak viscosity and consistency of rice and Job's tear flours increased as the particle size decreased. As the soaking time of rice and Job's tear flours increased, the initial pasting temperature decreased. In sensory characteristics, the nutty taste was increased as the Job's tear flour levels increased. Overall acceptability of Job's tear gruel was the highest in the one of rice and Job's tear flours at 50:50 ratio. During 14 days of storage, the pH and viscosity of Job's tear gruels were increased till the sixth day, and then decreased slightly.

  • Feeding habits of Leiognathus nuchalis collected from the eelgrass bed in Kwangyang Bay from January 1994 to December 1994 were studied. Leiognathus nuchalis was a carnivore which mainly consumed copepods and crab larvae. Its diets included small quantities of polychaetes, amphipods, mysids, caridean shrimps. It showed ontogenetic changes in feeding habits. In an initial feeding stage, copepods were major food organisms. However, crab larvae and polychaetes were heavily selected with increasing fish size. Although copepods and crab larvae were major prey organisms for all seasons, the relative proportion of these two food items changed with season.

Characteristics of ignition and micro-explosion for droplets of water-in-fuel emulsion (유화액적 연료의 점화와 미소폭발의 특성)

  • The water-in-fuel droplets were applied to investigate the effect of mixing ratio between water and decane, ambient temperature, droplet size and spacing between droplets on ignition and micro-explosion in a heated chamber with high temperature. The ignition temperature of droplet was found lower as the droplet size was increased and the contents of water was decreased. The life time of droplet, however, decreases as the contents of water increases due to the micro-explosion. The occurrence of micro-explosion also increases as the size of droplets and the ambient temperature increase. The flame spread speed gets faster as the contents of water and the number of suspender decreases.

New Algorithm for Arbitrary-ratio Image Resizing in DCT Domain (DCT 영역에서 영상의 임의 비율 크기 변환을 위한 새로운 알고리즘)

  • In Ubiquitous communication environment, various conversions of images are essential, and most digital images are compressed by standard methods such as the Joint Photographic Expert Group (JPEG) and Motion Picture Expert Group (MPEG) which are based on the discrete cosine transform (DCT). In this paper, various image resizing algorithms in the DCT domain are analyzed, and a new image resizing algorithm, which shows superior performance compared with the conventional methods, is proposed. For arbitrary-ratio image resizing in the DCT domain, several blocks of $8{\times}8$ DCT coefficients are converted into one block using the conversion formula in the proposed algorithm, and the size of the inverse discrete cosine transform (IDCT) is decided optimally. The performance is analyzed by comparing the peak signal to noise ratio (PSNR) between original images and converted images. The performance of the proposed algorithm is better than that of the conventional algorithm, since the correlation of pixels in images is utilized more efficiently.

Automatic Text Extraction in Video Images using Morphology (모폴로지을 이용한 비디오 영상에서의 자동 문자 추출)

  • 본 논문에서는 뉴스 비디오의 정지 영상에서 뉴스 자막과 배경 문자를 추출하기 위한 새로운 방법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 일차적으로 입력 컬러 영상을 그레이 영상으로 변환한 후 입력 영상의 명암 대비를 강화시키기 위해 명암 대비 스트레칭을 적용한다. 이후 명암 대비 스트레칭된 영상의 분할을 위해 적응적 임계값을 적용하고 다음 단계에서 문자와 유사한 영역들을 적당한 크기 의 structuring element를 이용하여 제거하는 1차 하부 단계와 모폴로지 녹임(erosion)을 적용한 영상과 모폴로지(열림닫힘[OpenClose]+닫힘열림[CloseOpen])/2가 적용된 영상 사이의 차이 영상을 구하는 2차 하부 단계를 적용시킨다. 마지막 단계에서 각 후보 영역들 중 실제 자막 영역을 추출해내기 위해, 후보 문자 영역의 화소수 비율과 외곽선의 화소수의 비율, 그리고 장축과 단축간의 비율 등에 대해 필터링을 적용한다. 본 논문에서는 임의의 300개의 뉴스영상을 입력 값으로 실험한 결과 93.6%의 우수한 인식률을 얻을 수 있었다. 또한 본 논문에서 제안한 방법은 structuring element의 크기 조절을 통해 크기가 다른 다양한 이미지에서도 좋은 성능을 거둘 수 있다.

Connected Component-based Regardless of Caption Size Caption Extraction with Neural Network (신경망을 이용한 자막 크기에 무관한 연결 객체 기반의 자막 추출)

  • 영상에 나타나는 자막은 영상과 관계가 있는 정보를 포함한다. 이러한 자막의 정보를 이용하기 위해 영상으로부터 자막을 추출하는 연구는 근래에 들어 활발히 진행되고 있다. 기존의 연구는 일정한 높이의 자막이나 획의 두께를 가진 자막만을 추출하였다. 본 논문에서는 일정 크기 이상의 크기에 무관한 자막을 추출하는 방법을 제안한다. 먼저, 자막 추출을 위해서 영상에 포함된 픽셀들의 연결 객체를 생성하였다. 그리고 연결 객체 중에서 자막의 형태적인 특정의 패턴을 분석하고, 패턴을 이용하여 자막을 추출하였다. 실험에 사용된 영상은 다큐멘터리, 쇼 프로그램과 같은 대중 방송에서 획득하였으며, 실험 결과는 다양한 크기의 자막을 포함한 영상을 사용하여 실험하였고, 자막 추출의 결과는 찾아진 연결객체 중에 자막의 비율과 자막 중에 찾아진 자막의 비율로 분석하였다. 제안한 방법에 의해 다양한 크기의 자막을 추출할 수 있었다.
