  • The purpose of the study was to review the recent literature on applying augmented reality based educational contents for students with autism spectrum disorders and to identify research trends and implications. The search procedures through the Web-database system were implemented to find the proper research and a total of 12 studies were included in this review. The results indicated that most of subjects were elementary school-age children, also single subject design was mostly implemented. Mobile devices were used mostly for augmented reality, and most of data collection methods was behavioral observation. Results founded several contents types: objects manipulation, manipulation for self-modeling, on-site problem solving program, and location-based learning guide. Additionally, the results indicated that the educational effectiveness was the improvements of social behaviors, play and imitation behaviors, and emotion recognition. Furthermore, considerations to develop and apply augmented reality based educational contents for students with autism spectrum disorders were suggested.

  • Digital content is difficult to distinguish between the original and the replica due to its nature. For this reason, NFT technology using blockchain technology is attracting attention because it can guarantee the proof and scarcity of the original digital content. However, the NFT buyer does not own the copyright to the digital content, but the ownership. In particular, since the minting process of issuing NFTs is possible for anyone, there is a copyright threat to the copyright holder. In this study, we propose a verification protocol based on DID for the process of issuing and transacting NFTs for copyright protection of copyright holders' digital contents. As a research method, the problems of research cases related to digital contents were analyzed and the safety was comparatively analyzed. NFT issuance can only be issued by copyright holders whose identity has been verified through DID, and only users who have completed authentication can participate in the transaction to prevent indiscriminate theft and use of digital content and form a safe and transparent transaction market.

  • In the near future, we are expected to live in a Mixed Reality environment where reality and virtuality coexist as today we live using the Internet and smartphones in our daily lives. The relevant content based on the idea of Mixed Reality crystallizing is currently expanding, and it is time for research on it. This study examines the current situation and the development direction of mixed reality contents. Typical mixed reality contents can be classify by wearability. We analyzed HoloLens, a mixed reality wearable device that is worn on a head, which is a example of wearable device. As an example of unwearable device, we also analyzed the Room2Room which is a communication system that combines video with augmented reality-based telepresence avatar. Mixed Reality content will develop in the direction of implementing expanded use of information and more natural realism through the interactive combination of Reality, Virtual Reality, and Augmented Reality. As head-mounted wearable technology develops, Mixed Reality content is expected to become popular by increasing the number of Mixed Reality device users if convenience and price competitiveness are secured. The way of unifying Mixed Reality wearable devices must be established in order to increase convenience, and the environment based on Mixed Reality will be created through diversifying leisure activity content. Telepresence Avatar is expected to develop into Mobile Hologram Avar as Mixed Reality content accessible anywhere and at anytime beyond space limits. Another potential for development of Telepresence Avatar is the combination of Avatar moving on user's thought, Augmented Human technology and Mixed Reality.

  • This study proposes a big data based risk analysis framework to analyze more comprehensive disaster risk and vulnerability. We introduce a distributed and parallel framework that allows large volumes of data to be processed in a short time by using open-source disaster risk assessment tool. A performance analysis of the proposed system presents that it achieves a more faster processing time than that of the existing system and it will be possible to respond promptly to precise prediction and contribute to providing guideline to disaster countermeasures. Proposed system is able to support accurate risk prediction and mitigate severe damage, therefore will be crucial to giving decision makers or experts to prepare for emergency or disaster situation, and minimizing large scale damage to a region.
