  • In this paper, we represent a system of identification and feature search for scanned comics in consideration of their content characteristics. For creating the feature of the scanned comics, we utilize a method of hierarchical symmetry fingerprinting. Proposed identification and search system is designed to give online service provider, such as Webhard, an immediate identification result under conditions of huge volume of the scanned comics. In simulation part, we analyze the robustness of the identification of the fingerprint to image modification such as rotation and translation. Also, we represent a structure of database for fast matching in feature point database, and compare search performance between other existing searching methods such as full-search and most significant feature search.

  • Storytelling techniques have been using for utilizing in various fields such as education, marketing and so on. In creative content sector, especially, the amount of creating the a newly story content from existing oral tales which are short and quite hard to understand the context has been increased. However, there are some limitations for creating the ideas of the story according to the expansion of the stories while the approach for new adaptation of existing stories is quite challenging. In this paper, therefore, we described the preliminary steps of text analysis and object extraction method for story development which can be applied to the storytelling authoring supported software.

  • DIBR (Depth Image Based Rendering) is a multimedia technology that generates the virtual multi-view images using a color image and a depth image, and it is used for creating glasses-less 3-dimensional display contents. This research describes the effect of depth accuracy about the objective quality of DIBR-based multi-view images. It first evaluated the minimum depth quantization bit that enables the minimum distortion so that people cannot recognize the quality degradation. It then presented the comparative analysis of non-uniform domain-division quantization versus regular linear quantization to find out how effectively express the accuracy of the depth information in same quantization levels according to scene properties.

  • Many archives, including the National Archives of Korea, use online finding aids. However, in many aspects, they need improvement. In this study, with focus on the National Archives of Korea, the online finding aids of the National Archives of Australia (NAA), The National Archives (TNA) of United Kingdom, and the National Archives and Records Administration (NARA) of the United States were analyzed. Focus group interview was administered to users of the archives, identifying the pros and cons of online finding aids of NAA, TNA, and NARA. Based on the results, various improvement and development directions are suggested, including aspects on overall functions and hierarchical search, search options and subject search, representing search results, and archival contents services.

  • Recently, the central government organizations have changed their Business Management System to the cloud-based On-nara Document 2.0. According to this, the National Archives of Korea is spreading a cloud-based records management system. With the development of digital technology, including cloud computing, preservation and utilization of records must be redesigned continuously to be effective and efficient. It is needed that the process and method of the electronic records management will change from simple digitization of paper-based recording to digital technology. This article offers opinions related to the logical transfer, storage and redundancy elimination of digital objects, machine-readable format, big-data analysis, templates of official documents, and authenticity authentication system based on universally unique identifiers (UUID) and hash value.

  • Recently, Metaverse service has been widely used to naturally communicate with a remote location, freeing from time and spatial constraints. In order to produce such contents, it is necessary to restore and synthesize a 3D model based on real space data. In this paper, a 3D-generated reconstruction model is produced based on continuous images using multiple cameras and a technique to correct the reconstructed 3D model is presented. For this. offline multi-camera setup was performed, errors were analyzed on the 3D model created through images obtained from various angles, and correction was performed using a matching technique between image frames. It is expected that 3D reconstructed data can be utilized in various service fields such as culture, tourism, and medical care.

  • Based on my attendance at the CIPA International Symposium(CIPA2023) organized by the International Scientific Committee on Heritage Documentation(ICOMOS), this paper explored research cases applying digital technologies, including BIM, to architectural heritage. The researches presented at this symposium were categorized into specific areas: data acquisition, data management, data sharing&experience. Through this classification, an analysis of research cases in architectural heritage utilizing digital technology was conducted. By categorizing the 43 academic papers from the CIPA2023 based on research themes, trends in the digital architecture field were analyzed, providing insights into future research directions for the digital acquisition, management, sharing, and experiential aspects of Korean architectural heritage. In conclusion, it is deemed necessary to reference and supplement the methodologies, including algorithms, workflows, and approaches developed in each study, to effectively apply methodologies suitable for the characteristics of Korean architectural heritage and its data.

  • In recent years, with the rapid development of IT technology and the aging of the population, various solutions to the labor shortage have emerged. In the livestock industry, there are an increasing number of management systems that utilize artificial intelligence technology. The Metaverse Smart Farm is a system that combines the digital virtual world with advanced agricultural technology. With this system, farmers can monitor the health of their animals in real time without having to visit the barns, and analyze the data collected through sensors and cameras for more efficient agricultural management. In addition, the barn environment can be adjusted through a remote control function, which is expected to reduce labor and revitalize the livestock industry.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate current situation of employment and factors affecting the job maintenance of women with disabilities. The second Panel Survey of Employment for the Disabled(PSED) and the third PSED are used to investigate current situation of employment and factors affecting the job maintenance of women with disabilities. We analysed whether women with disability who were employed in the second PSED maintain employment in the third PSED. The results showed that women with disabilities had lower wages(p<.001) and higher non-regular work(p<.001) than men with disabilities. Also, women with disabilities experienced more consideration of job(p<.05) and working time(p<.001) than men with disabilities. The job stability among job satisfactions of women with disabilities was higher than men with disabilities. The factors affecting the job maintenance of women with disabilities were health status(p<.05), wages(p<.05), consideration of job(p<.05).This study suggested that the health status, wages, consideration of job were needed to consider when establishing employment policy for women with disabilities.
