Ectopic eruption of the first permanent molar is an abnormal positioning of this tooth, causing a premature resorption of the distal surface of the second primary molar. It occurs in approximately 3~4% of the population and the maxillary arch is usually affected. While 66% of ectopically erupting permanent molars are corrected spontaneously without treatment (i.e. a reversible type), active treatment is necessary for irreversible ectopic eruption cases. The treatment modalities have been divided into two categories: interproximal wedging and distal tipping. Interproximal wedging is indicated for minimal impaction and when the impaction is severe, distal tipping techniques are required. Although much has been written about treatment modalities on unilateral ectopic eruption of the first permanent molar, few reports mention bilateral ectopic eruption cases. In this report, two cases of bilateral ectopic eruption of the first permanent molars in young patients are presented. We describe the use of a modified bilateral Halterman appliance for correction of these cases and the clinical results were satisfactory.

Extracting mandibular incisors for orthodontic treatment may adversely affect the occlusion. However, when properly used, extraction of mandibular inciors is a selection for the correction of the malocclusion. Generally, treatment for crowding needs to select between nonextraction and four premolar extraction. Approaches for crowded mandibular incisors include distal movement of posterior teeth, lateral movement of canines, labial movement of incisors, interproximal enamel reduction, removal of premolars, removal of one or two incisors, and various combinations of the above. Extraction of incisors is used in case of crowding, anterior tooth size discrepancy, absent of maxillary lateral incisors, and ectopic eruption. But severe overjet. overbite, and space are the contraindication of it. A patient had severe crowding on upper anterior teeth, impacted upper left lateral incisor, palatal ectopic eruption of upper right incisor and severe crowding on lower anterior teeth. Lower lateral incisors are extracted for space availability and facial esthetics. We report the case of orthodontic treatment of upper and lower anterior crowding through extraction of lateral incisor.

For this research 20 supernumerary teeth impacted in the maxillary anterior have been extracted and pulp cells have been collected from them. From the collected pulp cells, total of 17 (10 males, 7 females) have been selected as subjects. From this research, the run-time of successive culture of the cell from tooth number pulp tissue was $2.91{\pm}0.29$ days. From the gathering of cells from the initial pulp tissue until gaining 80% confluency took $4.53{\pm}0.94$ which was the longest. The following successive cultures took $2.73{\pm}0.32$ days. Average runtime for female was $2.81{\pm}0.27$ days whereas male had average runtime of $2.98{\pm}0.29$ days. Average run-time for inversion was $2.94{\pm}0.30$ days and for normal location, $2.80{\pm}0.20$ days. Average runtime was $2.92{\pm}0.31$ days and other forms took $2.88{\pm}0.22$ days. In the future, follow up research would be needed to evaluate the efficiency of the cells collected from the initial passage and the latter passage as stem-cells and taking into consideration the less than 3 days'time for the subculture, it could be concluded that the research efficiency and fast cultivation would be sufficiently effective.

Maxillary canines are the most commonly impacted or ectopically erupted teeth. If we find the abnormality of maxillary canines early, we can manage it reasonably and systematically. If we cannot see the spontaneous normalization at the periodic recall, primary canine extraction will be the next treatment choice. However, if the primary canine is extracted too early, the extraction socket will be filled with hard bone and then the eruption pathway can be locked. So it is more beneficial to extract the primary canine at the period about 6 months before the normal canine eruption time. The next treatment plan can be surgical and orthodontic approaches before the root apical closure of the impacted canine. Sometimes, surgical extraction and further prosthetic procedure can be needed for a severely malposed impacted canine or badly resorpted incisor. This is the case of the idiopathic mesial movement of impacted maxillary canines.

Objective : To report eruption of maxillary canine through Bio-$Oss^{(R)}$ graft in patients with secondary bone-grafted alveolar clefts. Methods : Secondary alveolar bone grafts placed in the cleft alveolar defect have been shown to support dental eruption through the graft and may further affect the prevalence of impacted teeth. As the case may be, it could be difficult to do secondary alveolar bone graft with autologous bone. In particular, few reports have been shown the secondary bone graft with heterogenous bone(Bio-$Oss^{(R)}$). In this report, the eruption of canine into bone-grafted alveolar clefts was recorded as panoramic, occlusal radiographs, in 3 patients grafted with Bio-$Oss^{(R)}$ Results : Like autologous bone graft, the canine was erupted and developed into the cleft alveolar defect through Bio-$Oss^{(R)}$ graft. Conclusion : In some cases that autologous bone graft is not available, we can consider heterogenous bone graft into the cleft alveolar defect for dental development and eruption of impacted teeth.

The infection of primary teeth occurs by caries or trauma. But, if it is not treated on time, the complication may occur such as enamel hypoplasia, discoloration, impaction, displacement and dilaceration of permanent successors. The periapical lesion on primary tooth could displace the permanent successors in any direction. Treatment options of displaced tooth are observation after extracting the primary teeth, surgical exposure orthodontic traction, transplantation and extraction. In these cases, displacement of permanent central incisor caused by the periapical lesion of primary teeth was observed. The spontaneous eruption after extraction of primary teeth was expected considering degree of displacement, development of root and direction of eruption. This case report shows spontaneous eruption of displaced permanent tooth germ was achieved with periodic examination after extraction of primary teeth.

This study was experienced in order to obtain the shear bond strength of orthodontic bracket adhesives under the blood contamination that can be occurred during the procedure of bracket bonding under window opening surgery. As a result of this study, shear bond strength of all glass ionomer groups were lower than resin cement groups. However, the strength of uncontaminated and post-contaminated group of glass ionomer was strong enough to perform an orthodontic forced eruption. This study revealed that during a window opening surgery, glass ionomer without etching procedure is available in order to bond a bracket if surface of teeth is not pre-contaminated by blood before the adhesive application. Both simple procedure and less adhesives remnant after bonding failure could make light-cured glass ionomer cement the ultimate choice for racket bonding.

Adenomatoid odontogenic tumor(AOT) is an infrequent odontogenic tumor which arise in the jaw. It was considered as a variant of ameloblastoma. The adenomatoid odontogenic tumor is clearly benign and, in contrast to the ameloblastoma, present a very low recurrence. It most often appears in the canine region of the maxilla. The adenomatoid odontogenic tumor is frequently asymptomatic, however it may cause painless swelling. The radiological findings of adenomatoid odontogenic tumor frequently share characteristics of dentigerous cyst and unicystic ameloblastoma. Conservative surgical enucleation and curettage are the treatment of choice. In this case a 10-year-old child was presented with mandibular right lateral incisor in unerupted. Radiographically, the tooth was impacted and a radiolucency was seen in the area. The lesion was enuclated without extraction of the tooth. Bracket was attached on the tooth for orthodontic extrusion installed. Histopathologically adenomatoid odontogenic tumor was revealed.

Noonan syndrome (NS) is a developmental disorder characterized by dysmorphic facial features in association with short stature, mental retardation and congenital heart disease. NS may be sporadic or inherited as an autosomal dominant or recessive trait. The children with NS usually have ocular hypertelorism, downslanting palpebral fissures, low-set ears and a webbed neck, chest deformity. In addition, oral features include micrognathia, high arched palate, dental malocclusion, dental anomalies and rarely, cleft palate. The phenotype of NS bears similarities to that of Turner syndrome. However, NS occurs in both males and females with a normal sex chromosome 46, XX and 46, XY constitution. This case presents the intermittent treatment of an 8-year-old girl who was referred from a local clinic for the extraction of supernumerary teeth and treatment of dental caries. The focus of this case report is the oral aspects on NS and particularities of the dental treatment in subjects affected by this genetic disease.
