  • Research on dynamic characteristics of injectors gives us insight for preventing combustion instability in a rocket engine. While lots of studies have been done about swirl injectors' dynamic characteristics, little is known about impinging jet injectors' dynamic characteristics. For this reason, this study was aimed to reveal the dynamic characteristics of an impinging jet injector based on experiment using a hydraulic mechanical pulsator. Gain, which is the relationship between input pressure and output value(pressure or velocity) was analyzed with the frequency and manifold pressure change. Pulsating frequency was chosen in the low range: 5, 10, 15 Hz. As a background work, Methods to determine the jet velocity were discussed. Klystron effect was also considered as a factor of this experiment.

  • In this paper, we propose a time varying biased proportional navigation guidance law that controls the impact angle under Field-of-View(FOV) and the acceleration limit of the missile. The proposed law is composed of three stages in consideration of the FOV limitation. Since the bias directly affects the acceleration at each stage, the final bias value of the previous stage becomes the initial bias value of the next stage when the stage is switched. In addition, the impact angles were controlled by judging whether impact angles were reached in consideration of engagement conditions and physical constraints.

  • Hash functions are widely used for fast equality analysis of video files because of their fixed small output sizes regardless of their input sizes. However, the hash function has the possibility of a hash collision in which different inputs derive the same output value, so there is a problem that different video files may be mistaken for the same file. In this paper, we propose an equality analysis scheme in which different video files always derive different output values using identifier information and double hash. The scheme first extracts the identifier information of an original video file, and attaches it into the end of the original file with a steganography method. Next the scheme calculates two hash output values of the original file and the extended file with attached identifier information. Finally the scheme utilizes the identifier information, the hash output value of the original file, and the hash output value of the extended file for the equality analysis of video files. For evaluation, we implement the proposed scheme into a practical software tool and show that the proposed scheme performs well the equality analysis of video files without hash collision problem and increases the resistance against the malicious hash collision attack.

  • This study analyzed the effectiveness of orbital change through attitude change in nano-satellites operating in low Earth orbit (LEO) without thrusters, focusing on collision avoidance maneuvers. The results revealed that changes in the satellite's cross-sectional area significantly impact its in-track direction, influenced by the aspect ratio of cross-sectional area change and mission altitude. Notably, satellites at lower altitudes demonstrated significant reduction in collision risks with a small amount of attitude change. Through this study, it is judged that the changing the cross-sectional area through attitude maneuver is a sufficiently suitable method in the operation of nano-satellites without thrusters, and is expected to contribute to improving the safety of satellite operations in the New Space era.

  • A ship collision analysis by finite element method is performed considering the effects of mass and speed of ship and material and shape of structures to analyze the dynamic characteristics by ship collision. From this analysis, collision load-time history and damage of ship and structures are obtained. In this study, results of finite element analysis are compared with previous studies in USA, Japan and some countries of Europe. Dynamic characteristics are different from each other according to interaction between ship and structures. It seems that there are lots of factor to have effects on the ship-structures interaction. Because little information is available on the behavior of the inelastic deformation of materials and structures during the type of dynamic impacts associated with vessel impact, assumptions based on experience and sound engineering practice should be substituted. Therefore more researches on the interaction between ship and structures are required.

  • In the maritime universities, cadets of deck part should practice on board training using training ships of university or merchant vessels of company for 1 year according to STCW Convention. For training period, trainees are educated many education items as to positioning ability, chart work ability, vessel operation ability and cargo operation ability etc. Among many abilities, vessel avoiding ability which is demanded as a basic ability for deck officer can't be gained easily, because avoiding maneuver of ship controlled by cadets is not allowable regally and encounter situations occur randomly. This paper investigated CPA to the various encounter types with other vessels during the ocean going navigation of T.S Hannara. We analysis danger degree per each encounter type, and proposed a basic material of efficient training education about proper look-out and avoiding maneuver.
