  • This study was proceeded with interest on residents' perception of local festival(Boryeong City, Korea) and tried to examine the relation with their participation level and satisfaction. This study used 'festival visiting experience' as moderating variable with the expectation of difference in residents' perception according to visit. This study result indicated that residents can recognize local festival negatively if they feel they have no benefit from the festival even though the festival has many visitors with growing reputation. Also, festival visiting experience has no moderating effect on residents' participation intention in this study. The facts also find that the residents-oriented festival planning and promotion is more important in the partnership with local government and private sector-local residents. Further, it is very important to notice internal customer as well as external customer to ensure residents' satisfaction and participation.

  • Despite the recent social interest, academic discussions about life culture festival in Korea are still not actively discussed. Therefore, on this study we intends to conduct an empirical analysis on the satisfaction, loyalty, and effects of life culture festival by using structural equation model. Before the analysis, we reviewed conceptual definitions about life culture and its previous studies for set up detailed factors to be used for. This study is based on the survey which distributed in 2016 Bucheon City life culture festival "DaRak". With collected survey, we analyzed data by using structural equation model. As a results, festival loyalty shows significant impact on festival effects(0.92).

  • This study investigates the conceptional structure between festival service quality, visitor's satisfaction, loyalty and festival effects in the Juwangsan Sudalrae mountainous local festival. In order to analyze the structural equation model the paper employed the LISREL (linear structural relationships) approach, covariance structural equation model. Data of 445 visitors were collected from the Juwangsan Sudalrae festival in 2008. Research findings showed that experience, facility and service are positively related to visitors' satisfaction. In addition, visitors' satisfaction is related to loyalty and festival effects. One of the major research findings is that the festival service most affects visitors' satisfaction. This implies that the host of mountainous local festival must put great emphasis on organizing hospitality and festival information. This will lead the festival to a great success and ultimately bring positive impacts to the mountainous residents.

  • The purpose of this paper is to examine the effect of local festivals on regional economic growth through empirical analysis of festival - economic growth relation. Theoretically, the theory of creative city is at the center of the discussion as to how festivals can influence economic growth. We used the regional convergence equation and used pooled OLS, fixed effect model, and GMM estimation method to analyze the effect of festivals on regional economic growth. According to this empirical analysis, the effect of festival variables such as the number of festivals and the festival period on economic growth has not been affected. This suggests that the effects of festivals on productivity and efficiency have not existed. This implies that the creative city theory that local festivals influence regional economic growth does not work well.

  • This study was surveyed the visitors who visited the festival for 4 days from August 01, 2019 to August 04, 2019 .For the questionnaire, 367 copies of valid questionnaires were used as the final analysis data in four beaches: Hakdong Black Pearl Beach, Gujora Beach, Wahyeon Beach, and Jicell Port. The results of this study are as follows. First, all three sub-factors of regional festival service quality, such as confidence, empathy, and credibility, had a positive effect on participation behavior. Second, the result of the moderating effect of the influence of involvement on the quality of service and visitor participation behavior of local festivals is based on the individual moderating effects of service quality and visitor participation behavior. There was a moderating effect. Visitors should be aware of the program, which is faithful to the festival's original purpose, and provide visitors with information about the festival quickly and accurately to feel the efficacy of participating in the festival. And The more satisfied the tourists who visited the local festivals, the more likely it will be to be a successful and successful festival. By speeding up, unexpected positive customer behavior will come from places that are not important.
