Improvement of ATO Efficiency by Varying Slip Frequency for a Magnetic Levitation Propulsion System Using a Linear Induction Motor (선형유도전동기를 이용한 자기부상추진시스템의 ATO운전 효율 향상)

  • 본 논문에서는 현재 운행되고 있는 선형 유도전동기의 슬립주파수 고정 방식이 아닌 선형 유도전동기를 이용한 자기부상열차의 슬립주파수와 수직력 및 추진력과의 관계를 이용, 열차의 가감속시 운행패턴에 따라 운행 중 슬립주파수가 가변할 수 있는 슬립주파수 가변패턴을 형성, 선형유도전동기 자기부상시스템에서의 에너지 효율향상 가능성을 검증하였다. 슬립주파수와 수직력, 추진력과의 관계를 이용 슬립주파수 일정 실효치전류제어 알고리즘과 슬립주파수 일정 벡터제어 알고리즘을 사용하여 운전조건과 슬립주파수를 변경하며 운전조건에 따른 가장 효율적인 슬립주파수의 패턴을 형성하였다. 이 후 모의시험과 실차를 이용한 실험을 통해 알고리즘에 대한 정당성과 실제 효율의 증가를 통해 타당성을 검증하였다. 앞선 두 가지 알고리즘을 통해 열차부상에 영향을 미치지 않는 범위의 수직력을 가지는 범위내에서 슬립주파수를 가변 운전 조건에 따른 최적의 슬립주파수에 대한 정보를 기반으로 운행 중 가변하는 슬립주파수를 자동열차운전(ATO)시스템에 적용 모의실험을 통해 그 적용가능성과 효율을 검증하였다.

  • In this study, bearings were developed for a high-power propulsion motor operating in inclined operation conditions through a simulation and similitude-experimental methods using commercial rotating machinery dynamics analysis software. The developed journal bearing is electrically insulated and has low thermal conductivity because each part is connected with 2-4 -mm-thick epoxy plates. To realize an appropriate oil thickness, an oil lift system is adopted, and a half separated structure is applied to ensure the feasibility of maintaining very heavy components. This study discusses some of the key design aspects of sleeve bearing design for high-torque and low-speed propulsion motor applications. Furthermore, the conditions of variable slope tests are examined to prevent oil leakage from the bearing lip seal on the test rig.

  • In the paper, we propose a design method for the logistics transportation system using magnetic levitation that has a good characteristics without mechanical friction, noise and dust. The proposed transportation system consists of a levitation control system and a propulsion control system. Magnetic levitation system is an electromagnetic suspension system in which electromagnet generates magnetic attractive force and the attractive force pulls the rail. We design a PID controller for the current control of electromagnets. We use linear induction motors for propulsion of the proposed logistics transportation system and adapt the space vector PWM method for the propulsion control system. The proposed transportation system using magnetic levitation is verified performances through levitation and propulsion experiments.

  • Recently, development of rare earth permanent magnet with the high remanence, high coercivity allows the design of brushless motors with very high efficiency over a wide speed range. Cogging torque is produced in a permanent magnet by magnetic attraction between the rotor mounted permanent magnet and the stator teeth. It is an undesired effect that contributes to output ripple, vibration, and noise of machine. This cogging torque can be reduced by variation of magnet arc length, airgap length, magnet thickness, shifting the magnetic pole and varying the radial shoe depth and etc. In this paper, some airgap length and magnet arc that reduce cogging torque are found by finite element method(FEM) and Maxwell stress tensor method. The SPM(Surface Permanent Magnet) type of high-power Brushless DC (BLDC) motor is optimized as a sample model.

  • LDM의 분류와 응용 사례를 다루는데 제한된 지면사정 등으로 아쉬운 점이 많이 남는다. LDM의 개발 및 응용은 OA용, 측정 및 미소이동용 기구로서의 소형에서 부터 선박추진용 초전도기, 레일건 등의 특수용도의 대용량에 이르기까지 매우 다양한 형태로서의 진전이 예상된다. 특히, 선진 외국에서의 이 분야에 대한 지대한 관심과 엄청난 연구개발 상황에 비해 국내의 실정이 너무 미약하다는 생각을 하며 이 분야에 대한 흥미와 연구개발의 노력을 아끼지 않는 연구자가 많이 나와야 겠다.

  • Servo-motors are used as key components of automated system by performing precise motion control as accurate positioning and accurate speed regulation in response to the commands from computers and sensors. Especially, the linear brushless servo-motors have numerous advantages over the rotary servo motors which have connection with the friction induced transfer mechanism such as ball screws, timing belts, rack/pinion. This paper proposes an estimation method of unknown motor system parameters using the informations from the sinusoidal driving type linear brushless DC motor dynamics and outputs. The estimated parameters can be used to tune the controller gain and a disturbance observer. In order to meet this purpose high performance Digital Signal Processor, TMS320F240, designed originally for implementation of a Field Oriented Control(FOC) technology is adopted as a controller of the liner BLDC servo motor. Having A/D converters, PWM generators, rich I/O port internally, this servo motor application specific DSP play an important role in servo motor controller. This linear BLDC servo motor system also contains IPM(Intelligent Power Module) driver and hail sensor type current sensor module, photocoupler module for isolation of gate signals and fault signals.

  • Among the electrical components mounted on railroad cars, the largest load is the main transformer, which has a low power density of 0.2~0.4 MVA/ton due to the low operating frequency(60Hz), which is an important factor for weight reduction. Therefore, research on molded transformers, semiconductor transformers, etc. is being actively conducted at Domestic and foreign in order to improve the main transformer for railway vehicles. Meanwhile, attempts are being made to apply a permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) to replace an induction motor as a traction motor that is mostly applied to domestic and foreign railway vehicles. Permanent magnet synchronous motors (PMSMs) can secure higher power density and efficiency compared to induction motors, but have disadvantages in that the materials required for manufacturing are expensive and design is somewhat difficult compared to induction motors. Considering these problems, in this paper, we suggest that a small and lightweight semiconductor transformer is applied, and a simple structure, high torque, low cost SRM can be applied in accordance with the requirements such as weight reduction and high efficiency of railroad vehicles. content.

  • The domestic warship propulsion system is at the stage of a hybrid propulsion system changing from a mechanical propulsion system and the propulsion system becomes complicated so it is expected that the function of ECS(Engineering Control System) that controls and monitors the warship propulsion system becomes important. Recently the development of ECS has progressed domestically, so that verification of reliability and stability is required in the process of ECS development. The simulator to be proposed is composed of HILS, it can be divided into a shaft-line dynamics model of the simulating power transmission, a controller model of the simulating the control of the equipment, and a communication model communicating with the ECS. In this paper, we developed simulator for ECS verification for CODLOG hybrid propulsion system, set scenario, and conducted simulation.

  • 최근 항공기 분야에서는 기존 내연기관이 아닌 배터리를 이용한 전기 추진 방식(Electric Propulsion)에 대한 연구가 활발하다. 특히 완전 전기 추진 시스템에서는 모든 전력을 배터리로부터 입력받는다. 배터리는 잔존용량에 따라 배터리의 출력전압의 크기가 변하는 특성을 갖는다. 이러한 특성은 전동기 상전류의전고조파 왜율(THD)에 영향을 준다. 본 논문에서는 배터리 잔존용량에 따른 상전류 맥동을 분석하였고, 배터리 동작 특성에 맞추어 상전류 THD 조건을 만족하고 최대 효율로 인버터를 동작하기 위한 스위칭 주파수 선정 알고리즘을 제안하였다.

  • This paper describes the field test results of IGBT VVVF inverter for the railway propulsion system. The 1,650kVA IGBT VVVF inverter has been developed. Therefore, the field test is performed in SMG 6 Line to confirm its the reliability and performance. The train consists of 4M4T and the electrical equipment for field test are as follows : VVVF inverter 4 sets, 16 traction motors and 2 SIVs. The propulsion system is composed with 1C4M(1-Controller 4-Motors). The results of propulsion system which have the excellent acceleration/deceleration and the jerk characteristics as well as starting ability on slope are taken through the field test.
