  • 기존선 속도향상, 안전성 확보, 수송서비스 개선을 목표로 하는 철도기술연구개발사업은 고객에게 고품질의 서비스를 제공하고 타 교통시스템과의 경쟁력을 확보하기 위하여 주관행정부처인 철도청과 전문기관인 한국철도기술연구원에서 추진하고 있다. 이 사업은 1999년 12월 철도기술연구개발사업 기본계획을 수립하여 2001년 8월 한국철도기술연구원을 사업자로 선정하고 총 400억의 정부지원예산을 투입하여 2006년 7월까지 5차 년도에 걸쳐 기존선 속도향상을 위한 실용화 기술개발을 목표로 하고 있다. (중략)

  • Blockchain was proposed in 2007 and began to be applied to actual services soon afterward. The railway system covers railroad construction and railway services. Because of the public characteristics of the railway system, it is expected that significant advantages can be obtained through the introduction of blockchain. Many benefits can be gained by applying the blockchain to them, but it is impossible to apply the blockchain to every part immediately due to the limitations of time and resources. Therefore, it is necessary to derive services or functions to which the blockchain will be applied and to select the part of them first. Since there are various evaluation criteria to derive the priority of blockchain adoption, systematic consideration is required. In this study, AHP was applied to calculate weights for evaluation criteria and systematical evaluation. Through the results of this study, it is expected that it is possible to build a roadmap for a next-generation railway system.

  • A diversity of railway network function enhancement projects such as the double tracking, electrification, and direct operation have been actively executed to improve the railway service. When the new rapid railway is provided, how many people will use it instead of other transports? How will the railway choice behavior be changed? Accordingly, in this paper, the applicability of diverted travel demand forecast method by Stated Preference(SP) and Transfer Price(TP) data was reviewed for Daegu metropolitan railway service. As the result of implementing the Revealed Preference(RP) and RP+SP model, the total travel time and travel cost parameters are of the right sign and are highly significant. In particular, when TP data is used as the complementary investigation of SP, the boundary value of diverted travel demand can be easily identified by railway fare and travel time service level. Therefore, it is considered that this will practically apply even in other regions as well as Daegu metropolitan railway.

  • The total number of railroad stations managed in Korea is 322 (including general and wide-area railways), and a considerable number of stations are aging. In terms of the size of the existing railway station and the number of entrances, it has not been possible to secure adequate service capacity, and the demand for station improvement is increasing due to changes in surrounding conditions such as urban development. In the past, railroad stations were focused on the simple function of a connection passage in terms of maintenance or management, but in recent years, railroad stations are also changing to an atmosphere that they should be reborn as a user-centered comfortable, convenient, and safe service provision space. In this study, a case study related to the improvement of the old railway station was conducted to derive an improvement plan that meets the improvement standard of the old station, and the service level evaluation standard was developed. By introducing the concept of service level (LOS) in the development model, station congestion, station movement convenience, and station safety were selected as evaluation indicators. In addition, this development model applied an analytical stratification technique to divide various evaluation elements of each indicator into major and detailed elements and derive the relative importance of the elements by class. Priority for improvement was derived using the ratio of the number of E and F on the LOS for each facility. Based on this study, it is expected to be helpful in using it as an evaluation criterion for improving objective and equitable railway station.

  • 철도에서의 정보제어시스템은 열차무선망을 제외하고는 지금까지 유선전송망에 대부분 의존하고 있으며, 철도선로를 따라 대용량의 전용회선을 포설할 수 있다는 측면에서 효과적으로 설치가 가능하고, 안전성과 신뢰성의 측면에서도 우수성이 입증되었다. 그러나, 정보화가 진전됨에 따라, 여객서비스나 철도시스템 제어기능의 강화 측면에서 전송계통의 유연화와 정보교환개소의 확대가 요구되고 있으며, 유선전송으로는 이러한 요구에 충분히 대응할 수 없게 되었다. (중략)

  • The control center of an urban railway operator provides railway users with various information on railway use through a 1:N same-time broadcasting system. However, the facilities of the broadcasting system are aging, exposing many limitations in meeting the needs of urban railway users who have become familiar with mobile services. To overcome these challenges, this study analyzed the mobile-based same-time broadcasting services using location information of urban railway users and the requirements of various stakeholders (urban railway users, an operator, and external service providers, etc.) to suggest optimal service models and physical structures. Through this study, it aims to secure safer operations of urban railway as well as to improve better disaster responses through rapid and efficient spread of the situation in case of disaster.

  • 인터넷을 기반으로 하는 IT의 눈부신 발전과 더불어 언제, 어디서나, 시간과 장소에 구애받지 않고 인터넷을 사용할 수 있도록 하는 사회적 요구가 구체화 되고 있다. 이러한 요구에 부응하고자 국내에서는 200km 이상의 빠른 속도로 이동 중에 있더라도 초고속인터넷이나 방송 서비스를 제공할 수 있는 위성/무선통신 연동 초고속인터넷 시스템기술을 개발하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 위와 같이 개발된 연동시스템을 국내 고속철도(KTX)에 적용하여 서비스를 제공할 때, 관련 시설투자에 대한 경제적 타당성을 검토하고자 한다. 경제성 분석을 위해 현재 유럽에서 이미 제공되고 있는 고속철도 인터넷 서비스를 조사하였고, 국내 고속철의 특성을 감안하여 필요시설과 장비의 항목별 비용분석을 수행하였다. 해외 사례와 비행기 등의 다른 운송수단에서 예상되는 수요 및 요금 수준에 근거하여 고속철도 인터넷서비스 매출을 시나리오별로 산정하였으며, 각각에 대한 순현재가와 수익률을 도출하였다. 본 연구의 결과를 토대로 하여 위성/무선통신 연동 시스템 기술 개발에 대한 경제적 타당성을 도출할 수 있으며, 서비스 제공 시 마케팅자료로 활용할 수 있을 것이다.

Impact of Service Quality on the Intent of Continuous Use of Railroad Logistics - Focusing on the Mediation Effect of Logistics (철도물류의 지속적 이용의도에 미치는 서비스 품질의 영향력 - 물류성과의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study analyzes the impact on continuous use of railroad logistics by mediating the logistics performance of recognition on the logistics service quality. According to the results, economic quality, information quality and relationship quality have impacts on the intent of continuous use by fully mediating logistics performance. Based on these results, a model for intent of continuous use of railroad logistics was proposed. As for the results of this study, it can be seen that the continuous use of railroad logistics is formed by the logistics performance due to the use of railroad logistics and, for this, a practical direction is suggested: the improvement of service is required, by which the recognition can be enhanced for the economic quality, information quality and relationship quality of the customers.

Analysis of Service Factors on the Management Performance of Korea Railroad Corporation - Based on the railroad statistical yearbook data - (한국철도공사 경영성과에 미치는 서비스 요인분석 -철도통계연보 데이터를 대상으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to derive service factors based on the "Rail Statistical Yearbook" data of railroad service providers from 1990 to 2019, and to analyze the effect of the service factors on the operating profit ratio(OPR), a representative management performance variable of railroad transport service providers. In particular, it has academic significance in terms of empirical research to evaluate whether the management innovation of the KoRail has changed in line with the purpose of establishing the corporation by dividing the research period into the first period (1990-2003) and the latter (2004-2019). The contents of this study investigated previous studies on the quality of railway passenger transportation service and analyzed the contents of government presentation data related to the management performance evaluation of the KoRail. As an empirical analysis model, a research model was constructed using OPR as a dependent variable and service factor variables of infrastructure, economy, safety, connectivity, and business diversity as explanatory variables based on the operation and management activity information during the analysis period 30 years. On the results of research analysis, OPR is that the infrastructure factor is improved by structural reform or efficiency improvement. And economic factors are the fact that operating profit ratio improves by reducing costs. The safety factor did not reveal the significant explanatory power of the regression coefficient, but the sign of influence was the same as the prediction. Connectivity factor reveals a influence on differences between first period and latter, but OPR impact direction is changed from negative in before to positive in late. This is an evironment in which connectivity is actually realized in later period. On diversity factor, there is no effect of investment share in subsidiaries and government subsidies on OPR.
