A Study on the Effects of Railway Logistics Information System Quality on the shipper's Satisfaction (철도물류정보서비스 품질이 화주의 만족에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구)

  • The service quality of website has been recognized as an important factor for business productivity and affected the customer behavior. The logistics industry is no longer exceptional for these trends. This study attempts to find out relationship between the quality of railway logistics information service (reliability, availability, appearance, convenience) and the satisfaction of shipper. In the result of regression analysis, reliability and availability have effects to shipper's satisfaction. But appearance and convenience have no effects to shipper's satisfaction. The purpose of this paper is to suggest the strategy of railway logistics information service to increase the shipper's satisfaction.

  • 급변하는 정보화 사회에서, 철도 물류 정보 분야는 업무 자동화에 대한 인식 부족, 데이터 실시간 처리 불가, 열악한 사용자 환경 등으로 인해 활성화되지 못하였다. 이러한 상황을 극복하기 위해 인터넷을 기반으로 하며 차세대 인터넷 표준으로 알려진 XML을 적용한 철도 물류 정보 연계 시스템을 구축하였다. 구축된 시스템은 기존의 철도 물류 정보 시스템의 기능과 성능을 개선하여 사용자에게 안정되고 편리한 서비스를 제공하기 위한 구조로 설계되었다. 또한 기존의 2-tier 형태의 WEB 구조를 3-tier 형태로 하여 보안이 강화된 구조로 하였으며, 새로운 인터넷 표준으로 각광받는 XML Schema와 XSL을 적용하여 앞서 나가는 철도 물류 정보 시스템이 되도록 하였다.

Impact of Service Quality on the Intent of Continuous Use of Railroad Logistics - Focusing on the Mediation Effect of Logistics (철도물류의 지속적 이용의도에 미치는 서비스 품질의 영향력 - 물류성과의 매개효과를 중심으로)

  • This study analyzes the impact on continuous use of railroad logistics by mediating the logistics performance of recognition on the logistics service quality. According to the results, economic quality, information quality and relationship quality have impacts on the intent of continuous use by fully mediating logistics performance. Based on these results, a model for intent of continuous use of railroad logistics was proposed. As for the results of this study, it can be seen that the continuous use of railroad logistics is formed by the logistics performance due to the use of railroad logistics and, for this, a practical direction is suggested: the improvement of service is required, by which the recognition can be enhanced for the economic quality, information quality and relationship quality of the customers.

  • 최근 비대면 수요의 증가와 함께 유통·물류산업은 배송서비스 품질 향상을 위해 전략을 세워왔고, 퀵커머스 배송과 같은 빠른 배송서비스가 일상화되자 소비자의 배송서비스의 품질에 대한 기대치도 높아졌다. 이제는 뉴노멀 시대에 접어들며, 수요 불확실성에 대응할 혁신적 기술이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 배송서비스 품질 향상 전략으로 도로주행 트랜스퍼 크레인을 메타버스 플랫폼을 통해 제안한다. 트랜스퍼 크레인은 도로의 정체와 상관없이 화물운송이 가능하여 배송서비스 속도 향상과 함께 도로 혼잡비용 감소 등 여러 부가적인 효과를 기대해 볼 수 있다.

  • Rail transportation system are needed to develop proper corresponds to satisfy various demands in freight transportation since there are many problems in rail transportation infrastructure and operation. This paper analyzes characteristics of rail transportation consumers and develops policy for vitality of rail transportation by survey of rail transportation consumers and AHP methodology. This paper is organized as follows. Section 1 presents the description of the objective and the methods for this study. Section 2 presents the description of the methods for analysis of characteristics of consumers of rail freight transportation. Section 3 presents the characteristics of rail transportation consumers by analysis the survey results of rail transportation consumers. Section 4 summarizes our conclusions and discusses further research topics.

  • 인터넷이 활성화 됨에 따라 공간이나 시간적 제약이 감소하였다. 인식 부족과 사용자 환경에 의해 미진하였던 철도 물류 정보 시스템도 웹을 기반으로 서비스 체제를 변경함으로 인해 효율적이고 편리한 서비스를 제공할 수 있었다. 제안한 시스템은 기존 XML로 처리되는 데이터 뿐만 아니라 철도를 통해 운송되는 화물(컨테이너 등)에 대한 추적 정보를 제공하거나 화물 운송에 대한 실적 및 정산 정보를 알 수 있다. 또한 철도를 통해 운송된 화물에 대한 통계 자료나 화차에 대한 운송 현황 자료 등을 추출하여 물동량 파악이나 철송 업무에 활용할 수 있다.

  • The opening of High-speed Rail provides convenience to move a long distance quickly, and the passengers of high-speed railway have been steadily increasing each year. Since the high-speed rail is far more expensive than other transportation, providing high quality service over just the high speed is required. Accordingly, much effort is made to improve service quality. However these services have been focused on general passengers so we should introduce a new service system to meet personal preferences of passengers. Therefore, in this paper, we introduce integrated railway service systems to provide service which follows the individual needs of passengers and is based on RFIDs (Radio Frequency Identification).

Analysis of Service Factors on the Management Performance of Korea Railroad Corporation - Based on the railroad statistical yearbook data - (한국철도공사 경영성과에 미치는 서비스 요인분석 -철도통계연보 데이터를 대상으로-)

  • The purpose of this study is to derive service factors based on the "Rail Statistical Yearbook" data of railroad service providers from 1990 to 2019, and to analyze the effect of the service factors on the operating profit ratio(OPR), a representative management performance variable of railroad transport service providers. In particular, it has academic significance in terms of empirical research to evaluate whether the management innovation of the KoRail has changed in line with the purpose of establishing the corporation by dividing the research period into the first period (1990-2003) and the latter (2004-2019). The contents of this study investigated previous studies on the quality of railway passenger transportation service and analyzed the contents of government presentation data related to the management performance evaluation of the KoRail. As an empirical analysis model, a research model was constructed using OPR as a dependent variable and service factor variables of infrastructure, economy, safety, connectivity, and business diversity as explanatory variables based on the operation and management activity information during the analysis period 30 years. On the results of research analysis, OPR is that the infrastructure factor is improved by structural reform or efficiency improvement. And economic factors are the fact that operating profit ratio improves by reducing costs. The safety factor did not reveal the significant explanatory power of the regression coefficient, but the sign of influence was the same as the prediction. Connectivity factor reveals a influence on differences between first period and latter, but OPR impact direction is changed from negative in before to positive in late. This is an evironment in which connectivity is actually realized in later period. On diversity factor, there is no effect of investment share in subsidiaries and government subsidies on OPR.

  • Block Train Services(BTS) are actively studied in many countries for higher productivity and eco-friendly systems of inland freight distribution. However it is difficult for an ordinary student or researcher to approach for understanding and studying BTS because rail transport is operated monopolistically by Korea government and most freight information in each company belongs to its business secret due to the industrial characteristics. For such reasons, the study aimed to develop a BTS simulation model that it supports understanding and strategic decision required for BT operation. To build the result, expert depth-interviews were conducted with analysis of relative references through the domestic representative BT operating company K. The simulator refers to the Busan NewPort-Uiwang section and functionally, it supports scenario generation and analysis on BT operation. It makes a contribution to study a new type's technological application for learning and strategic analysis of BTS.
