A Study on Factors that Influence the Mobile Social Participation of Disabled Elderly People - with the focus on a comparison with young adults with disabilities (고령장애인의 모바일 사회참여 영향요인 연구 - 청장년장애인과의 비교를 중심으로)

  • This study examines the factors that influence the mobile social participation of elderly disabled people compared to that of young adults with disabilities. The analysis was conducted using Heckman's two-stage model. The first stage of the research focused on the populations who have mobile devices, while the second stage focused on factors that influence mobile social participation. The results of the study are as follows: for elderly people with disabilities, mobile social participation is associated with living alone, PC usage ability, mobile usage ability, internet usage ability, and attitude towards digital use. Based on the results of this research, this study presents a plan to support the mobile social participation of elderly people with disabilities.

  • The aim of this study is to suggest the change of behavior and motor skill of children with intellectual disabilities participating functional games using virtual reality. For this purpose, 5 children with intellectual disabilities completed a 16-week functional game program twice a week. The result was as following; the application of functional games using virtual reality has positive effect on behavior and motor skill -static coordination, hand motion coordination, normal motion coordination, motor speed, simultaneous spontaneous motion, single motion competency. The application and utilization of functional games using virtual reality systematically of children with intellectual disabilities can bring an improvement on their overall development.

Investigation of middle-school students' self-directed learning (중학교 학생들의 자기주도적 학습 능력 분석)

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate middle school student's self-directed learning(SDL) using a hierarchical linear modeling. By considering variances of SDL at individual and school level, the student's SDL was explained in terms of school quality as well as individual efforts. For the HLM analysis, participation in private tutoring, teacher's support for SDL, caring students' individual needs, and participation in extra curriculum activities were explored at individual level. At school level, school SES, quality of national curriculum implementation, and parental support for school were utilized. The results of analysis showed that more than 95% of variance of SDL was explained by variables at individual level. Among the variables at individual level, private tutoring was not a significant variable explaining the SDL. Based upon the results, multiple regression analyses by background variables were also conducted. By interpreting the results of analyses, the impact of school quality and individual efforts on the SDL was discussed.

  • 본 연구에서는 컴퓨터 프로그래밍 정규 수업과 병행하여 운영된 수준별 맞춤형 프로그램에 참여한 학습자들의 프로그래밍 능력 향상을 평가하고자 한다. 수준별 맞춤형 프로그램으로 수준별 전공스터디와 피어 튜터링 프로그램을 운영하고, 참여 학생들이 별도 학습을 통해 얼마나 실력 향상이 되었는지 평가하기 위해 프로그램 참여자들과 비참여자들의 상대적인 성적 변화를 분석한다. 나아가 참여 학생들이 졸업 후의 취업률과 취업 분야 그리고 고용상태도 분석함으로써 학생들의 실력 향상이 원하는 분야로의 취업에 얼마나 기여했는지도 분석해본다.

Middle School Students' Science Process Skills by Learning Styles (중학생의 학습양식 유형에 따른 과학탐구능력)

  • In order to suggest instructional strategy and learning guidance in science education, the purpose of this study was to classify middle school students by learning style and then examine student's science process skills via those learning styles. The Student Learning Style Questionnaire (SLSQ) and the Test of Science Process Skills (TSPS) were given to 340 ninth graders. Their learning styles were classified into three categories, that were divided into two opposing types: independent/ dependent, collaborative/ competitive, and participant/ avoidant. The results showed the following : 1) Students of the dependent, collaborative, and participant type out numbered ones of the independent, competitive, and avoidant type. 2) Gender differences showed that male students of the competitive, participant, dominant type totalled more than the female students of the collaborative, avoidant type. Furthermore, 3) For students of the independent, competitive, participant type, science process skills were higher than those of the dependent, collaborative, avoidant type.

Differences in Physical fitness, Cognitive function, ADL, IADL, and Psychological variables according to the Elderly's participation in Physical activity (노인의 신체활동 참여에 따른 체력과 인지기능, ADL, IADL, 및 심리적 변인의 차이)

  • The subjects of this study were 463 people aged 65 and older in the senior welfare center in Seoul and Gyeonggi. The purpose of the study is to analyze the differences between physical fitness factors and cognitive functions, activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living, and psychological variables in the participation of the elderly in physical activities. Data ware analyzed by frequency analysis, reliability analysis, independent sample t-test and one-way ANOVA, and Pearson's correlation analysis, with SPSS 25.0 statistics program. The results of this study are as follows. First, there are statistically significant differences in physical fitness, cognitive function, activities of daily living, instrumental activities of daily living, and psychological factors such as depression and quality of life, depending on whether the elderly participate in physical activity. There were statistically significant differences in physical fitness, cognitive function, ADL, IADL, depression and quality of life, depending on the frequency of participation of older people in physical activity. A statistically significant difference in physical fitness appeared depending on the participation time of the elderly who participated in physical activity. Second, a study of the correlation between physical fitness and cognitive function, ADL, IADL, depression, and quality of life revealed a correlation for most factors. Based on these research results, it is necessary to develop a systematic arbitration strategy including physical activity for the successful aging of the elderly and the independent life of old age.

The Effect of a Participatory Rehabilitation Program on the Physical Activity of Adults with Developmental Disability (참여형 재활프로그램이 의료취약계층 성인발달장애인의 신체활동 능력에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the effects of a participatory rehabilitation program on sit-rise and rise-to-walk test performances, and perception and motor skills in adults with medically vulnerable individuals and, adults with developmental disabilities in particular. Seventeen adults with developmental disabilities participated in a participatory rehabilitation program using resistance bands and exercise balls, for 60 minutes once weekly over 13 weeks. Their performances were measured before and immediately after the intervention, and 12 weeks after. The findings were as follows. In the sit-rise test, the number of times rising from sitting posture increased after the intervention versus before, but the difference was not statistically significant. In the rise-to-walk test, the performance showed statistically significant difference over time, and the post-hoc test showed a significant effect after the intervention versus before. There was no significant difference in perception and motor skills. In sum, the participatory rehabilitation program positively influenced dynamic balancing related to functional activities but had no significant effect on perception and motor skills, which is related to motor control and motor learning. It is suggested that to increase the participation in community activities, reduce fall risk, and improve dynamic balancing abilities in adults with developmental disabilities, participatory rehabilitation programs should be utilized to promote the physical wellbeing.

Effects of a Program to Improve Self-Directed Learning Skills on College Students' Self-Directed Learning Skills (자기주도학습능력 향상을 위한 프로그램이 대학생의 자기주도학습 능력에 미치는 효과)

  • In this study, we analyzed the effects of program participation aimed at enhancing self-directed learning abilities in university students on the motivational, cognitive, and behavioral aspects of self-directed learning. The study included 2,302 students enrolled in a university located in Region D, and data collection took place from March 2 to December 31, 2022. Comparing the experimental group(751 students) who participated in the program for self-directed learning improvement with the control group(1551 students), the experimental group exhibited a 0.24-point increase, whereas the control group showed a 0.08-point increase, demonstrating a significant difference between the two groups(t=34.89, p<.001). Furthermore, in the post-hoc analysis of self-directed learning ability scores based on the frequency of program participation, the mean difference between those who participated in 1 to 3 programs and those engaged in 4 to 6 programs was 0.067 points(p<.001). The mean difference between participants in 4 to 6 programs and those in 7 or more programs was -0.135 points(p<.001), and the mean difference between those involved in 1 to 3 programs and those in 7 or more programs was 0.067 points(p<.001). These results underscore the importance of recognizing self-directed learning abilities as a crucial competency in higher education and emphasize the significance of efforts to promote program participation and increase participation frequency.

Employment Needs of People with Mental Disabilities - Centering on Income and occupational ability Variables (정신적 장애인의 소득수준과 직업능력에 따른 취업욕구)

  • 본 연구는 정신적 장애인의 소득수준과 직업능력에 따른 취업욕구를 살펴보고 그에 따른 취업 활성화를 방안을 제안하고자 하였다. 이를 위해 '2008년~2010년 장애인 고용패널조사'에 3년간 참여한 정신적 장애인 298명(가중빈도적용:154,348명)을 연구하였다. 연구결과, 직업교육을 희망하는 정신적 장애인이 남성, 중졸 이상, 자격증 소지자, 그리고 정신적 장애인 유형중 지적장애일때 교육참여 희망률이 높았다. 한편, 취업의사를 가진 정신적 장애인은 남성, 가구주, 중졸이상, 자격증 소지자, 육체활동 능력이 높아질 때, 그리고 정신적 장애인 유형 중 자폐장애일 때 취업의사가 높았다. 이러한 결과를 토대로 정신적 장애인의 경제활동참여를 높이기 위하여 정신적 장애인의 의사를 반영한 직업재활서비스제공, 사업주 주도적 직업활동을 제안하였다

Mutual Fair Contracts Protocol for Mobility of Subject (이동성을 보장하는 상호 공정 계약 프로토콜)

  • 이동 주체의 전자 상거래 참여는 계약 문서나 결제 정보 교환 서비스에 대해 사용자 실체에 대한 증명과 교환 메시지의 사후 검증 수단을 요구하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이동 주체의 이동성에 따른 한계적 계산 능력 및 대역폭 사용을 고려하여 부분적으로 제 3의 신뢰 기관(Trusted Third Party, TTP)의 효율적인 참여 구조를 수용한 상호 공정 계약 프로토콜을 제안하였다. 본 논문에서는 기존 공정 계약 프로토콜에 대한 연구를 상거래 주체에 대한 이동성을 지원하기 위해 상호 공정 계약 프로토콜로 확장하였다. 제안한 프로토콜은 이동성에 대한 한계적 능력에 대해 해당 TTP와 공개키를 기반으로 거래 주체간의 상호 인증을 수행하도록 하였으며, 이러한 초기화를 수행한 이후 상거래 주체는 해당 인증 결과를 기반으로 주체간 상호 메시지 교환을 위한 공정 계약 프로토콜을 수행하도록 하였다. 또한 사전에 동의한 계약 과정 이외의 예외 상황 발생시 부분적 TTP의 참여를 허용하여 시스템의 대단위 계산 능력에 대한 효율성을 보장할 수 있다.
