차세대 고속철도 차량 측면 적층재의 차음성능 (Sound Insulation Performance of the Side Layered Panels in the Next Generation High Speed Train)

  • The sidewall of the HEMU-400x consists of two parts. One is the multi-layered structure including aluminium extruded panel and the other is the double glazed window. When the train runs in a tunnel, the equivalent sound insulation performance of the side wall significantly influences the internal noise levels. In aspect of the sound insulation strategy, it is important to make two parts have similar performance. In this study, the intensity sound transmission loss (ITL) is measured on the specimens of the two parts. Mass law deviation (MLD) is considered in order to compare the sound insulation performance of the two parts in respect of the weight. Contribution of each part to the sound insulation is analyzed and the sound insulation strategy is investigated to reduce the interior noise.

  • HEMU-400X train have been developed and will be operated over 350km/h. In this paper, the influence of vertical alignment on running behavior and safety for HEMU-400X train was instigated by numerical analysis. The wavelength and amplitude of vertical alignment were considered in scenario of this numerical analysis. This research is based on just numerical analysis and the final result which include measurement will be published in the future.

고속열차 외부장치에 의한 주행저항 기여도 연구 (A Study on the Contribution of Exterior Devices to Running Resistance in High-Speed Trains)

  • 고속열차의 외부장치인 선두부 대차 페어링과 팬터그래프에 의한 주행저항 기여도를 차세대 한국형 고속열차(HEMU-430X)를 이용하여 최대 350km/h까지의 타행시험을 통하여 간접적으로 평가하였다. 선두부 대차페어링에 의한 공기저항 저감도를 평가하기 위하여 대차 페어링을 부착 및 탈착 하였을 때 각각 타행시험을 속도대역별로 실시하였다. 또한, 팬터그래프에 의한 공기저항을 측정하기 위하여 팬터그래프를 상승 및 하강 시켰을 때 각각 타행시험을 실시하였다. 타행시험의 결과로부터 시간-속도선도에 대한 가속도를 선형회귀법으로 산출하여 주행저항식으로 도출하였고, 도출된 주행저항식의 공기저항계수 부분을 이용하여 대차 페어링 및 팬터그래프의 공기저항 기여도를 산출하였다. 그 결과 선두부 대차 페어링의 공기저항 감소효과는 약 3.8%이며, 비상모드 팬터그래프는 공기저항을 약 3.9% 증가시키는 것으로 평가되었다.

  • Wind tunnel tests are performed so as to investigate the aerodynamic drag characteristics of HEMU-400x, next generation Korean high speed train. The experiments of 1/20 scaled 5-car train model are done at 30, 40, 50, 60m/s with a normal bogie, a bogie cover, and a streamlined shape. The flat plate with knife edge are installed to minimize the effect of boundary layer of wind tunnel for the train model. The aerodynamic drag reduction was more by a streamlined shape than by a bogie cover from a normal bogie. Based on the experimental results, the aerodynamic drag of HEMU-400x test train(6-car) was predicted. It is prediceted that More bogie cover could reduce more aerodynamic drag of the test train in replacement of normal bogies.

  • The HEMU-400X(High-speed Electric Multiple Unit 400km/h eXperimental) project starts in 2007. It is required to analysis and simulate the train performance throughout the project life cycle for a successful completion of the project. This paper is devoted to the development of a train performance analysis model for the high-speed electric multiple unit 400km/h experimental. The model consist of running resistance model, train model, traction model and braking model. So, this paper represents the results of the train performance analysis.

  • In this paper, we proposed the automatic vision inspection system using multi-layer perceptron to detect the defects occurred on rail surface. The proposed system consists of image acquisition part and analysis part. Rail surface image is acquired as equal interval using line scan camera and lighting. Mean filter and dynamic threshold is used to reduce noise and segment defect area. Various features to characterize the defects are extracted. And they are used to train and distinguish defects by MLP-classifier. The system is installed on HEMU-430X and applied to analyze the rail surface images acquired from Honam-line at high speed up to 300 km/h. Recognition rate is calculated through comparison with manual inspection results.

It is important first of all that describe correctly system requirement until configuration of system, design, manufacturing, installation and test verification so that the complicated high-speed electric multiple unit is to run safety and reliable and to achieve target performance and function properly. The system requirement assist the system designer to comprehensive the performance and function of system in basic design. This paper proposes the development methodology of system requirement for HEMU-400X.

  • The On Board Computer System (ORCS) used for rolling stocks is one of the core equipments in trains, which deals with collecting real-time data of a train to display and record the train's statuses, control the train, and support the driver and maintenance function. Resides, due to high reliability and high speed communication required lately for various electronics including signal1ing devices, train protection system, and multimedia, the necessity of a more robust train communication network is on the lise. This study aims at understanding the technological trend of the current train communication network in order to rapidly cope with the tendency above and providing fundamental data for designing a more advanced communication network for high-speed trains hereafter.
