  • The vehicle has many technique change from The requirement of the safety the energy environment and convenience dimension is an enlargement toe. This is keeping changing the paradigm of the vehicle industry rapidly. The change to be technical such brought the intelligence of the former control device. And this organizes a sensor network among each systems and makes new traffic system. This paper a standard framework based on Sensor. We call it Vehicle Management System. The VMS used MOST network and It is able to make the stability of the component swap time or vehicle order the greatest.

  • As per the recent technology related to safety of vehicles, Active safety system is being developed in combination withthe technology of electronic system. For example, ABC(Active Body Control), ABS(Antilock Brake System), ACC(Adaptive Cruise Control) are representative of this system. This technology is based on an electronic system, and shares a lot of data through network-system invehicles. Therefore, the control-algorism and the practicable application are realized in this research in order that CAN, network system for vehicles can run the brake device, which is composed mechanically and hand-operated. Additionally the possibility is confirmed that this control-system can be compatible with the existing electronic system in vehicles.

  • In this paper, we propose a method to classify the types of vehicle as full, medium, or small size. The proposed method is composed of three steps. First, after obtaining vehicle contour from template candidate image, edge distance template is created by distance transform of the vehicle's contour. Second, the vehicle type of input image is classified as the type of template which has minimal edge distance with input image. The edge distance value means the measurement of distance between input image and template at each pixel which is part of vehicle contour. Experimental results demonstrate that our method presented a good performance of 80% about test images.

  • 차량 항법 시스템(Car Navigation System)은 요즘 많은 발전을 거듭하여 차량 이용시 사용자가 가고자하는 목적지까지의 길을 쉽게 안내하고 있다. 이런 기술의 발전은 단순한 정적인 길 안내(Static Route Guidance) 뿐만 아니라. 동적인 길 안내(Dynamic Route Guidance)를 함으로써 자동차 운전자가 쉽고 빠른 길을 안내 받을 수 있게 되었다. 그러나 이러한 교통정보는 매우 변화가 심하므로 최초로 경로를 전송 받은 후 그 경로상에 교통정보가 변화하였다면, 이미 전송 받은 경로는 실시간으로 적극적으로 대응할 수 없고 실제 막히는 길로 안내할 수 있다. 목적지까지의 거리가 먼 경우 이런 현상이 더욱 심하게 나타날 수 있다. 이런 경우 운전자는 실제로는 막히는 길로 안내 받을 수 밖에 없다. 이런 문제점을 해결하기 위해 교통정보를 수집하는 기존의 시스템에 Ad Hoc 네트워킹이 가능한 시스템을 탑재한 교통정보 수집 차량(Probe Car)을 이용한다. 정보 수집 차량이 극심한 정체를 발견하면 근처를 지나는 경로를 가진 차량에게 이를 전달하여 새로운 경로를 다운받을 수 있도록 한다. 이런 방법은 Ad Hoc Relaying System〔l〕을 이용하여 가능하며, 센터에 수집되고 가공되는 시간을 최대한 줄일 수 있으며, 센터의 통신 오버헤드를 최소화할 수 있다. 또한 기지국에 호가 집중되어 call blocking이 발생함 경우에 이를 해결할 수 있다.

  • 본 논문에서는 주행 중 차량의 상태를 실시간으로 모니터링함과 동시에, 페달 조작 여부를 확인할 수 있는 영상 촬영 및 저장 시스템을 제안한다. 개발된 차량 운행 정보 블랙박스는 블루투스 OBD2 커넥터를 통해 차량의 PID 값을 식별하고 수집한다. 이 데이터는 비동기 방식으로 처리되며, 라즈베리파이와 7인치 터치 디스플레이를 이용해 운전자에게 한눈에 보일 수 있는 형태로 정보를 제공한다. 특히, 멀티스레드를 활용하여 ECU 정보를 페달 조작 여부 영상에 표시하는 동시에 녹화하고, CSV 파일로 SD 카드에 실시간으로 저장한다. 수집된 차량 데이터와 영상 데이터는 예기치 못한 사고 발생 시 운전자의 과실 비율 측정과 대처행동을 입증하는 데 중요한 역할을 할 것으로 기대되며, 차량 정비 시 참고 자료로 활용될 수 있다.

Development of Lane Changing Model with regard to Safety Distance of Vehicles (차량간 안전거리를 고려한 차로변경 모형개발)

  • The conventional lane changing model has been developed without acceleration or deceleration of vehicles at target lane. Thus, existing lane changing models have limitation to apply in real world. In this paper, lane changing model considered acceleration or deceleration, and calculated the safety distance between subject vehicle and adjacent vehicles for lane changing as well. Simulation was conducted to verify the validity and the efficiency of the developed lane changing model in this paper. Several scenarios were carefully examined by safety distance between subject vehicle and adjacent vehicles. In the result, it was verified that if gap between subject vehicle and adjacent vehicles is larger than safety distance, lane changing behavior between subject vehicle and adjacent vehicles avoids collision. The suggested lane changing model may be applied at the future driver assistance system and advanced safety vehicle.

  • In this paper, we analyze the performance of IEEE 802.11b WLAN communication between access point(AP) and mobile equipment(ME) in 2.4 GHz band with noise and interference factors. WLAN communication at in-vehicle environment is assumed as the communication between main vehicle controller and electronic device such as sensor, ECU (Electrical Control Unit) in vehicle on telematics field for implementing wireless vehicle control system. Received interference level from other system's mobile equipment in the same band and automobile noise from each part of vehicle can be the main factors that can cause increasing error rate of control signal. With these (actors, we focus on the Eb/No the BER performance of WLAN for analyzing the characteristic of interference factors by the measured bit error rate.

A Study on the Predictive Model of Propagation Path Loss in Millimeter-Wave Band (밀리미터파 대역에서 전파경로손실 예측 모델)

  • This study was to suggest the propagation path loss and predictive model of propagation path analysis in order to apply the frequency in the millimeter-wave band to the real time inter-vehicle communication system. This study was to suppose the case of inter-vehicle communication on the one-way two-lanes road in the big cites with a lot of traffic jams in order to analyze the effect by the reflected wave of multipath. As a simulation of suggested model, it found out that the propagation path by the reflected wave was about 0.1[m]$\sim$5.1[m] longer than the one by the direct wave during the transmission of 100[m] wave direct path. Also, as a result of comparing the propagation path loss, the loss would be about -0.8[dB]$\sim$-4.2[dB] larger in case of wall reflection and -0.8[dB]$\sim$-1[dB] vehicle reflection. From the result above, this researcher found out that the path loss of reflected wave produced by the walls was about -3.2[dB] larger than the path loss produced by the adjacent vehicles.

  • As the elderly are increasing, traffic accidents which are related to the elderly are one of major issues in aged society. In this paper, we analyze traffic accident statistics for the elderly. Based on the analyzed data, safety message transmission system for the elderly pedestrians is introduced. The proposed system is based on the P2V(Pedestrian-to-Vehicle) communication which combines ICT(Information and Communication Technology) with vehicles and pedestrians. We introduce the concept and principle of the proposed system and discuss implementation issues for realizing the proposed system.

  • While the era of driverless car has come, Vehicular Ad hoc NETwork(VANET) is getting important. Original VANET has a limit that cannot use computation power, storage space of On Board Unit(OBU) installed in a vehicle efficiently. VANET cloud computing(VCC) solves the limit to focus on using abilities of each vehicle. This article proposes VCC architecture for supplementing user addition and initial cloud creation that have been researched insufficiently.
