  • This study investigated the purpose and role of class evaluation standards and the reason to develop these teaching standards using literature review, survey, classroom observation and teacher interviews. Based on the teachers’opinion, we also investigated who should develop teaching standards and who will benefit most from the standards. In sum, the standards for teaching evaluation should help to form (a) the guidelines for beginners, (b) the directives for specialists, (c) the principles for grasping areas for improvements, and (d) the means for communicating with other communities. In addition, teachers should take responsibility for developing teaching standards as the basis for evaluating their own work and improving their own professional learning to provide quality assurance. The development of subject specific teaching standards is not possible without active participation of teachers as well as other stakeholders in education.

  • This study was a qualitative study using Colaizzi's phenomenological study method to understand the experience of reconstructing life through hemodialysis in chronic renal failure patients and to clarify the meaning of their vivid experience. The participants were eight chronic renal failure patients receiving hemodialysis. Data were collected through individual in - depth interviews with participants. The five categories that were found in the study were 'The beginning of unexpected difficulties', 'Burden of survival brought on by hemodialysis', 'The driving force of recovery', 'Choices and concentration of today in order', ' Every day life which must be woven sincerely'. The results of this study will help clinicians better understand the physical and mental suffering experienced by patients with chronic renal failure receiving hemodialysis and how they are constantly trying to adapt to a changed lifestyle. Also it might provide basic data for the development of efficient nursing intervention for the health management of hemodialysis patients.

  • This study discusses spatial distribution of the silver towns in the Seoul metropolitan area and investigates how the residents recognize their silver towns through in-depth interviews. Nowadays there are many elders who prefer to live in urban downtown or suburb areas which can be connected with the places of their pre-retirement lives. Therefore, the silver towns in the Seoul metropolitan area have been increasing. The facilities are mainly located in northern part of Seoul and southern part of Gyeonggi province near the network of major express roads. Location and accessibility are more important than any other factors when the elderly contemplate moving into silver town. Silver town residents are likely to have meaningful times and positive identities by communicating with friends there. The elders aged 80 years or older living in silver towns think the silver towns as their home while 'young old' people complain their limited rights of decision making and they consider additional move.

  • This study aimed to figure out the action research process and experience and to examine the significance of such experiences to teachers who implemented action research. This study took in-depth interviews with three experienced teachers and analyzed collected data. In order to carry out action research, they must start from the point of their standing and find the most suitable methodology for the method of their own life. There might cases that they felt strangeness because of unexpected reaction, and struggled hard against uncertainty. But, they finally experienced the joy of completion of their research. Such experiences gave them opportunities to reflect on their own lives and to escape any mannerism through concentration and enthusiasm. And they could recognize the importance of record of ordinary life in a meaningful way, and also recognize the meaning of process as a new start other than failure. So, they made efforts to grant meaning in a widened perspective. And they found themselves to live as empirical researchers. This study demonstrates that teachers in the educational field could not only have sufficient quality to be researchers but also need to be more aware of such talents.

  • As construction project has been becoming larger, specialized and complicated, it is important to utilize a lot of information that is made by diverse participants. Especially this information is mainly produced in construction site that plays a leading role in construction project. The problem of information exchange between participants of construction site causes decline of construction productivity. So as to resolve this problem, there is a many interest in BIM(Building Information Modeling) that makes and manages a necessary data during building life cycle. But in Korea construction industry, applying BIM in construction phase is less active than in design phase. Through studying previous research, this study classify the main cause of failure related to information exchange in framework construction. And by interviewing expert, it draw a work that is possible to apply BIM. Next through analyzing framework construction site that is applied with BIM, this study proposes specific information flow model for supporting work by BIM.

  • This paper aims at developing IT convergence robot education contents using open hardware-based GoGo Board and presenting three cases that were applied into educational settings with elementary and middle school students. Several types of data for their activities were collected: photos, work output, survey data, video data and interview with robot teacher and students. Each student experienced building up a GoGo Bumper Car with touch sensors attached at front and back sides and figuring out the principle of digital board control and operating of electronic devices by sensing. The participants, in the following phases, conducted domino chain-reaction with GoGo Bumper Cars and acquiring GoGo Driving Licence by driving test on three different road maps. Students in a gifted education program creatively implemented their own ideas as part of robotic art. The result of case analysis showed that the proposed project provides students not only intimacy for technology, fun, concentration but her own empowerment for developing ideas and creative implementation.

  • An empirical study was carried out to examine how Container Terminals in Busan view quality management activities by the provision of statistical evidence showing the efforts to enhance the standard of quality management, common factors of quality management activities and causal relationship among these factors. The data investigating the quality management for Busan Container Terminals were collected from 170 persons in charge of quality management for port services in Busan Container terminals by the use of questionnaire method and personal interviews. The Cronbach's a coefficient and factor analysis were used to analyze the reliability and the validity of measured variables. Furthermore, SEM (Structural Equation Modeling) method using AMOS(Analysis of MOment Structure) 4.0 was usea to analyze the cause-effect relationship among the source, activities and accomplishments of quality management representing the core concept of quality management system.

The parents' unique reality and its essential meanings are elicited through in-depth interviews enabling to reflect the insider's perspective. "From the child unable to grow to the child able to grow" is identified as the main theme penetrating through the participants'parenting experiences unique to their reality. Embracing the shock and the disappointment related to their children 'unable to grow', they thrive to make their children able to grow. However, they eventually accept their children's handicap, in spite of never doing it easily, by getting confronted with the limits of making their children grow in stature, and the social stigma and the difficulty their children experience. Therefore, they get to take alternative perspectives not focusing on their children's stature unable to grow but on psycho-social growth able to grow. Social welfare plans to support the handicapped with restricted growth and their parents are suggested.

The results were as follows. The participants showed a desire for eye-level learning, frustration on unsatisfactory academic factors, gratefulness for the factors that enhance academic satisfaction, lonely fight with the shortcomings of online lectures, and the factors predicted by COVID-19, and aim to seek balance through health care. Based on the results, the students should be prepared to learn at an appropriate academic level. Second, the change should be sought to increase delivery and concentration in class. Third, students are motivated by the professor's efforts to communicate in class and their sincerity and passion. Fourth, cooperation between professors and learners is needed to develop a sympathetic and supportive classroom atmosphere. Fifth, until the cessation of COVID-19, the principle of virtual education should persist unless there are exceptional circumstances. These results, which suggested specific ways to increase satisfaction with virtual learning lectures, can be used as basic data for establishing effective virtual teaching directions.
